Harry touched down lightly outside the car in Evans field. The perceptive Asuran felt the energy pouring off of the heavily pregnant teenage girl as the male teen driver frantically called for help.

"Calculating transport parameters," Alice replied before she was finished due to her time dilation field processor. "Transport commencing," Alice announced so that only her creator could hear.
Just before Alice commenced her transport Harry extended one of his powers activated from his time in the X-Men universe. The mutant ability of a young boy who could dampen the powers of others at will during a later stage of his life when he had more control, allowed the Potter wizard to shut down the energy absorbing baby's powers long enough for the transport beam to take hold. Karen's form seemed to blur for a moment in the bright white light before Mage was holding her baby while both parents stared on in amazement.
"Now," Harry began as he reached down and handed the baby to Karen. "We definitely need to have a talk."
A few minutes later the two parents were sitting across from the warlock on the couch he had conjured as the couple took a moment to check out their child.
"Your baby is very special," Harry declared calmly.
"I kinda figured that out from the fact that the pregnancy only lasted a week," Karen pointed out.
"Yes well that is because he is a second generation meteor mutant. He has inherited an even more powerful version of your ability to manipulate energy," Harry explained while looking at Karen.
Karen looked startled at Mage's knowledge of her powers.
"You know about that," Karen prompted in surprise while staring at the superhero with a bit of fear at the same time not noticing the newly named baby Evan's father looking at Karen in revulsion.
It was obvious that Tanner Sutherland didn't like meteor mutants. It was also obvious to Harry that Tanner hadn't realized that was what Karen was.
"Yes I could sense his powers trying to absorb my energy," Harry answered. "Why didn't it?" Karen asked curiously.
"One of my powers is the ability to suppress the powers of those around me. That is what I am doing with Evan right now. Before I activated that particular ability the baby had already absorbed quite a bit of my own energy. So when I let loose his powers Evan is going to use that energy to perform a rapid cell division. In essence I estimate Evan will hit the age of fifteen as soon as I stop suppressing his powers," Harry explained as Alice informed him of the scan results and the subsequent analysis done on those readings under time dilation.
"Shit," Karen said, summing the situation and her thoughts on the matter up.
"Yeah," Harry agreed as he pointed a finger at Tanner and froze the bigot.
"What did you just do and why?" Karen questioned in confusion while she glanced at Tanner.
"I'm also an empath. Tanner here has an extreme dislike of meteor mutants. I could sense he was about to freak out," Mage explained.
"We just met at a party last week. He wasn't ready for fatherhood but I had nowhere else to turn," Karen informed her rescuer with a sad sigh.
"Your motherly instincts seem to allow you to handle things a bit better," Harry observed as he took a mental walk through Tanner's mind.
The dragon animagus was disgusted to learn that Tanner had been seconds from bolting from Karen's side before Mage had showed up. Tanner wanted nothing to do with his son now that it was revealed Evan was a second generation meteor mutant. Karen's response to this news was a shrug.
"So what is going to happen to my baby?" Karen probed as she stared down at Evan with love and concern.
"Well there is a pretty simple solution," Harry began as he noted that Karen was already dismissing Tanner in her mind.
Tanner disappeared silently along with his car via the wormhole transporter system newly installed alongside the beam transporter in the Phoenix Satellite System Network orbiting Earth. It was always good to have two methods of transportation should one be knocked out or countermeasures employed.
"What's that?" Karen prompted as she now focused her attention on Mage to hear every detail of what needed to be done to save her child.
"Evan's body is trying to do something very similar to what some beings I know did a long time ago which we call ascension. Unfortunately his method of achieving the end results of this process of ascension is unstable and would ultimately result in his quick and painful death. But
with my help I should be able to give him the boost necessary to make it all the way," Mage told the worried mother.
"Please do it. I trust you," Karen agreed.
With a nod Harry stood up and came to sit beside Karen. The Asuran Kryptonian held out his hands and placed them on baby Evan. As the wizard retracted his dampening powers he willed a shield around Karen to protect her from the discharge of energy that was about to take place. The blast of energy only a minute later was immense and would have killed Karen easily had the reality traveler not been present protecting her. The veela hybrid dropped the shield only a moment later as the light cleared to reveal a naked fifteen year old Evan sitting on his sixteen year old mother's lap.

Harry quickly taught Evan how to create a force-field of energy at the surface of the younger male's new "body" so that the newly ascended would assume something like physical form. Manipulating the light along that force-field allowed Evan to appear as he was before his evolutionary leap into an ascended being.
"That was amazing," Karen exclaimed as she stared at Evan and Mage in awe.
With her limited energy manipulation abilities Karen would be able to get some idea of what Evan just went through.
"Thank you Mage," Evan said with a smile now that he could sense the universe around him in a whole new light.
"No problem. I expect I might need the help in the future," Harry told the only truly fully ascended being in that universe.
"I'll be there anytime anyplace," Evan promised. "Although with the level of power I'm sensing off you I'm not sure why you would ever need my help," Evan added in awe.
"Yes well I'm a bit paranoid and find it's best to always be prepared," Harry replied with a grin.
Harry helped Evan and Karen back to Karen's parents' house while teaching Evan how to use his powers to manipulate the minds of his grandparents. The elder Gallaghers were fairly open minded but not enough to understand what their daughter had been through. Karen would be moving out in the next few days into Evans Corp housing the billionaire engineer had set up for her and Evan. Evan decided he wanted to tinker around in the Engineering division of Evans Corp while going to class during the day with his mother. January 3rd 2004 on the Kent Farm...

"Harry the ship is damaged, which is probably why its systems didn't bring it to the surface,"
Alice informed her favorite male even as the green eyed Potter gripped the ship in his hands and lifted it up to the surface.
With a short flight the warlock had the diamond shaped vessel on the shore.
"Initiate the opening sequences, Alice," Harry instructed, knowing quite a bit about Kryptonian spacecraft designs from studying Clark and Aeythyr's vessels.
"No need Harry...the ship is doing that itself now. I think it was waiting until it was away from the kryptonite so that its occupant was unharmed," Alice announced.
Just then the ship's occupant arrived out of the top of the craft in a short burst of super-speed. Harry was awestruck at the beauty of the blonde Kryptonian standing before him in red and blue form fitting clothes. The council chose to believe Brainiac over Jor El when Jor El tried to warn the council. Your star went supernova, wiping out your world," Harry explained, trying to break the news to the blonde as gently as possible.

A stable prolonged connection would only be established when the feedback energy was not detected. The probe inside the Phantom Zone would try to connect with another probe in a shielded
