Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 A trainer who can’t fight with Pokémon is not a good trainer.

"Bo-do...Power?" Ash muttered, then reacted. Wasn't this Bo-do Power the strength Champion Ash mentioned, the one that could physically withstand Legendary Pokémon?

He had doubted the truthfulness of this power back then, and even now, he was still half-believing, half-doubting it. How could something like a human body contending with the world's strongest Pokémon happen in reality?

Ash's body was already considered outstanding among his peers. In terms of physical fitness, no one in all of Pallet Town was his match; this seemed to be his innate talent.

But facing the cute-looking Pikachu, he was still shocked into helplessness. Even with rubber gloves, if Pikachu wanted to, it could simply fire Thunder Shock at Ash's body, and the rubber gloves would be basically useless.

So, if it really came down to fighting Pikachu, Ash's chances of winning were practically zero.

If he was like this against a novice Pokémon, what if he faced those Pokémon at the world's peak? They could probably just blow a breath, and a human would be severely injured, right?

Yet now, the power he had doubted was actually drawn by him.

[Champion Ash: How is it? Did you get a result? What level of power did you draw? B? C? Even a D-level ability should be quite useful for you right now.]

Currently, Mengxin Xiaozhi was like a blank slate; any ability, for Mengxin Xiaozhi, was a significant improvement.

Even a relatively trashy D-level ability was equivalent to gaining some experience, or even partial abilities, from the Ashes in the group, which was a considerable Helping Hand for Mengxin Xiaozhi.

[Ash: Uh... I seem to have drawn an S-level one.]

[Feiqiu Xiao Zhi: No, wait a minute, what do you mean 'seem to have drawn an S-level'? Did you seriously look at that turntable? The probability of S-level is only one in ten thousand. You only have one draw, can't you see if you drew it or not?]

A new Ash appeared in the group. Although Ash didn't know what the words 'Feiqiu' meant, he felt that these two words carried a lot of malice towards humans.

[Ash: Yes, it's S-level. The prompt says I drew an ability related to Bo-do Power, and it raised the Bo-do Power within my body to S-level. It also transmitted experience related to using Bo-do Power to me. I'll have to look up the specifics later myself.]

At this moment, Ash had 'seen' a ball of light in his mind, which should be the experience memory of Bo-do Power that the chat group mentioned. However, since he was still chatting in the group and hadn't returned to the real world, Ash hadn't clicked on that ball of light.

[Feiqiu Xiao Zhi: No! Impossible! I don't believe it! How can someone draw an S-level ability on their first try! This is unscientific! I don't believe it!]

[Ash: Uh... what's wrong with this senior? He seems very distraught.]

[Champion Ash: Cough cough, ignore him. His original name was Fishing Enthusiast Ash, but he had too many fishing trips where he caught nothing. However, in terms of fishing technique, he is absolutely unparalleled. He once even hooked Kyogre, but couldn't capture it.]

[Champion Ash: After joining the chat group, Fishing Ash always wanted to draw abilities related to battling, so if he hooked a Legendary Pokémon again, he could capture it through battle. However... hehe, all the abilities he drew were below B-level. His highest record was a ten-pull with five D-level abilities and five E-level abilities, all of which were everyday abilities.]

[Ash: ...]

What's with this tragic-sounding encounter? If he remembered correctly, although the proportion of A and B on that turntable was small, together they were probably around ten percent. If you included the C area, it would probably reach thirty percent.

And after a ten-pull, there wasn't even a C? That's too exaggerated!

[Bo Dao Yong Zhe Xiao Zhi: So, in the end, he angrily changed his name to Feiqiu Xiao Zhi, because his luck was just unbelievably bad. He could be said to be the unluckiest person in the entire group.]

Now Ash learned new knowledge: Feiqiu meant very bad luck.

[Ash: If I don't understand, I'll ask: How do I change my name? Also, what should I be called if I'm very lucky?]

[Bo Dao Yong Zhe Xiao Zhi: If you're very lucky, you're called a European Emperor. But don't change your name to that, be careful, Fishing Enthusiast might fight you to the death later. If you want to change your name, there's a settings icon in the top left corner of the chat group. You can modify your name, personalized signature, etc., there, but only once a month.]

Hearing this, Ash gave up the idea of showing off his luck. Although it was impossible for the other party to cross space to hit him, it was still 'himself' after all! It was one thing to provoke others, but provoking himself was another matter entirely.

[Bo Dao Yong Zhe Xiao Zhi: But speaking of which, you actually drew my ability. As a novice, drawing this ability is actually quite good. Traveling in the wild will encounter all sorts of dangers. Generally, you need to rely on your Pokémon to get through these crises, but for a novice, not only are Pokémon few, but their strength is also average.]

[Bo Dao Yong Zhe Xiao Zhi: At this time, the Trainer needs to step up! As the saying goes, a Trainer who can't battle with Pokémon is not a good Trainer. An S-level ability has almost inherited all of my power, so the current you should be able to fight even Champion-level Pokémon without falling behind.]

[Bo Dao Yong Zhe Xiao Zhi: After fully mastering my power, even if a Legendary Pokémon comes, it will have to give you a wide berth! So now you completely don't need to worry about your safety while traveling outside.]

Bo Dao Xiao Zhi's words made Ash stare blankly. Was this Bo-do Power really that powerful?

[Champion Ash: For now, you can go offline. Bo-do Power is indeed a good ability, not only in battle but also in interacting with Pokémon, Bo-do Power is very useful. You'll know the specifics once you return to the real world and use it.]

Ash thought for a while before understanding what 'offline' meant: it was to return to the real world.

'I always feel like 'I' use such fashionable language,' Ash thought, and his consciousness exited the chat group, returning to the real world.

...

"Pika? Pikapi?? Pikapika??" In reality, because Ash had entered the chat group, his body remained motionless, frozen in place.

At first, Pikachu didn't pay much attention, but after a while, he noticed that Ash was sitting on the ground with his eyes closed, not moving at all. He thought something had happened to Ash, so he went over to check on Ash's condition.

After testing, Pikachu found that Ash wasn't pretending to get his attention, but truly seemed to have lost consciousness, completely still.

This made Pikachu a little flustered. Although he didn't like human Trainers, that absolutely didn't mean he was malicious inside. On the contrary, his heart was very kind. Otherwise, even if Ash wore rubber gloves, if Pikachu didn't want to, Ash would absolutely not be able to take him, and could even electrocute Ash in return.

So, Ash's current situation left Pikachu at a loss. He didn't know whether it was better to run back for help or to perform CPR on Ash here.

Maybe try giving Ash a Thunder Shock?

As Pikachu was thinking this, Ash slowly opened his eyes, and the human and the mouse met each other's gaze.
