/Zane's POV/
"Wow, are you sure it's Allison's first time in front of a camera?" Aya whispered to me as I stared blankly at Madison from behind the lights.
Madison's composure, her confidence—the stillness she carried—felt surreal. It didn't feel like it was her first time handling something like this. What was even more baffling was how naturally she handled the questions, barely blinking under the harsh heat of the studio lights.
"Honestly, if I didn't know better, I'd be convinced Maddy's been—"
"Stabbed before," I completed Ayanna's sentence just after Madison answered the question about the stabbing.
Ayanna had obliviously asked me those questions, but those doubts were something I couldn't easily dismiss. After all, I'd seen gunshot wounds on Madison. If she's been shot before, then it's not impossible that she's also been stabbed.
Once again, I'm left to confront my suspicions about Madison's identity and what she's been doing before coming into the city.
