As soon as Hazel told me of her plans, I became very extremely worried.
I knew that she was right and needed to stand up for herself but fear gripped me so much that I didn't want her to harm herself further.
I knew what Liam was capable of doing. I knew that he could hurt her and pretend as if he had done nothing and she wouldn't dare say a word to him or anyone. I couldn't just watch and let her go back to the lion's den knowing fully well that it would be waiting for her as a predator waiting for the arrival of its prey.
I stood in the shadows, my heart racing. I was worried about Hazel, and I knew I had to see her. I needed to make sure she was okay. I knew it was a risk to go to the palace, but I had to do it. I had to know she was safe. I took a deep breath, and I headed into the city for the palace.
