Chapter 79 - The Giant Air Door

Chapter 79: The Giant Air Door

"Trying to run away so easily?"

In an instant, Hatake Yusuke's figure vanished into streaks of light and reappeared directly in front of Ohnin.

"Running away… right in front of me? That's awfully naive. You should know better than that," Yusuke spoke casually, his tone light and his smile warm like the winter sun. But to Ohnin, that smile looked no different from a devil's grin emerging straight from the depths of hell.

"Y-You?!" Ohnin's face twisted in horror, as though he were facing a nightmare made flesh.

"So you do remember me. That makes this easier. Can you die now?" Yusuke's tone remained calm—eerily gentle. And that very contrast only deepened the dread coiling in Ohnin's chest. The image of a white-masked figure haunted his mind—the same one that had stalked his nightmares.

Yusuke raised his hand.

A beam of concentrated yellow light burst from his palm, slicing through the air in an instant. Ohnin had no time to react. The beam pierced straight through his chest, annihilating his heart in a single flash. Even as he collapsed, the terror in his eyes hadn't faded.

The Konoha shinobi around them stood frozen.

Not a single jutsu. Not a single hand seal. Just a word—and a quasi-Kage level shinobi was erased without resistance.

"…Yusuke-senpai, my name is Yugao Uzuki. You're… incredible…" a shy voice spoke up. A purple-haired girl approached timidly.

"Hello." Yusuke replied with a soft smile. Instantly, Yugao's cheeks flushed bright red, her eyes shimmering with admiration.

"Alright then, Kurenai. Let's go home," Yusuke said calmly.

"But… what about the logistics supplies?" Kurenai asked hesitantly.

"I'll handle it."

Yusuke stretched out both arms. Suddenly, a swirling dimensional gate tore open in the air—ten meters wide and ten meters tall, glowing with spatial energy.

"Everyone, bring the supplies through," he ordered.

The shinobi moved quickly, still dazed by the spectacle. First, Yusuke's overwhelming power. Now, this mysterious spatial ninjutsu? Many could barely believe what they were seeing. Thankfully, Yusuke had already marked the camp with a special seal earlier, allowing the gate to connect directly to their destination.

As they passed through, each shinobi found themselves instantly transported back to the main encampment. Their awe and respect for Yusuke deepened beyond measure.

"This… this is Air Door…" Sakumo muttered in disbelief.

"Air Door?" Shinku Yuhi repeated, clearly unfamiliar.

"One of Yusuke's space-time techniques. It's on par with the Flying Thunder God Technique," Sakumo explained.

Before more could be said, a steady stream of ninja began to pour out of the gate.

"Yuhi-sama! White Fang-sama!" They greeted them respectfully as they emerged.

About ten minutes later, Yusuke was the last to step through the portal.

"Father!" Kurenai cried, running into Shinku Yuhi's embrace. Tears rolled down her cheeks as Shinku smiled in relief. If his daughter had died… he could never have forgiven himself.

"You're safe now… That's all that matters."

"It was all thanks to Yusuke…" Kurenai said quietly, her face blushing.

"Yusuke, I owe you a debt I can never repay. If you ever need anything, just say the word. I won't hesitate," Shinku said sincerely.

"You're too kind, sir," Yusuke replied with a small smile.

"The Iwagakure shinobi this time… they were unusually underhanded," Sakumo muttered.

Shinku's expression darkened. "This won't be forgiven."

"Iwagakure, huh… that village no longer deserves to exist," Yusuke muttered grimly. His expression turned cold—his killing intent began to rise.

"Yusuke!" Sakumo stepped in. Kurenai also quickly grabbed his hand, trying to stop him.

"Dad?" Yusuke looked at him, confused.

"You can't go," Sakumo said firmly.

"You think I fear Iwagakure? Or Ōnoki? He's just another man," Yusuke narrowed his eyes. But seeing his father's serious gaze, his tone slightly softened. Even so, his words sent a chill through everyone present. He had no regard for one of the Five Great Villages… or even a Kage.

"If you act now, Yusuke, the other three nations will unite against us. Konoha will be surrounded," Shinku warned.

"And what does that have to do with me?" Yusuke said flatly. To him, without Hashirama Senju or Uchiha Madara, the rest of the shinobi world were nothing but ants. No matter how many of them there were—ants were still ants.

The only threat he still considered significant was Madara himself, especially with the Rinnegan.

Kurenai tightened her grip on his hand. "I'm okay now, Yusuke… You don't have to go that far…"

"Enough. Even if all four nations unite, Hatake Yusuke won't be stopped," he scoffed coldly.

"But what about Kurenai… and everyone else? Not everyone is as strong as you. You can't protect them all the time," Shinku replied sharply.

Yusuke fell silent.

He could annihilate the shinobi world alone—but those he cared about couldn't. And in the shadows, Madara and Black Zetsu still moved unseen.

"Damn it… Just a bunch of insects, and yet they hold me back. Fine, live a little longer, you pathetic pests…" Yusuke growled under his breath. He wasn't angry because he couldn't destroy them—he was furious that such lowly creatures forced him to restrain himself.

Kurenai looked at him with quiet sorrow.

"I'll take Kurenai back to Konoha. She's not suited for warzones," Yusuke declared.

"Alright. But you'll need the Hokage's approval," Shinku said after a pause.

"No problem. I'll speak to him myself," Yusuke replied, voice unwavering.

"Then… go," Shinku nodded.

But Yusuke's return wasn't just about taking Kurenai home. He had another goal: settling things with Danzo. After all, Kakashi's injury was clearly linked to Hanzo—and behind Hanzo, Danzo's shadow loomed.

"Let's go home, Kurenai." Yusuke opened another Air Door.

She gave a small nod and followed him into the shimmering gateway.

Just as they vanished, a ninja arrived in a rush.

"Urgent report from the Sunagakure front!"

"Read it," Shinku commanded.

"Sunagakure's main forces have been annihilated. Ebizō and Chiyo were gravely wounded and fled back to the village."

"Excellent! So Tsunade and Jiraiya succeeded?" Sakumo said with a relieved smile. He knew Chiyo well—he had once killed her son.

"No, White Fang-sama. It wasn't them. Hatake Yusuke acted alone. He wiped out the entire enemy force. Chiyo survived only because he let her go," the ninja reported with reverence.

"What? So Yusuke was seriously planning to destroy Iwagakure…" Shinku murmured, stunned.

Sakumo simply nodded. Calm on the outside, but inwardly, even he was shaken. He knew his son's strength, but he could no longer grasp its limits. The only word that came to mind: immeasurable.

"If we hadn't stopped him… Iwagakure would've been reduced to rubble," Sakumo said softly.

"Why?" Shinku asked, still confused.

"I felt it from his blade. That killing intent—pure, cold, and flawless. That kind of emotionless clarity isn't something just anyone can wield. Yusuke has had it since he was a child…" Sakumo explained, recalling the chilling memories of Yusuke's childhood.

"But… he made a promise. For now, Iwagakure will be spared," Sakumo added.

Elsewhere, Yusuke and Kurenai arrived at the Hokage's office.

"Come in."

"Yusuke, so you've returned. I've heard everything. You did well," Hiruzen greeted with a warm tone.

"It was nothing. Just my duty," Yusuke replied coolly.

"I came back with two conditions. In exchange, I killed Ohnin and repelled Iwagakure's forces."

"Name them," Hiruzen narrowed his eyes.

"First, don't let Kurenai return to the battlefield. Second, hand over Danzo."

"No can do. I can grant the first, but I can't allow Danzo to be killed," Hiruzen said, clearly uneasy.

"You think, if I wanted him dead, anyone could stop me?" Yusuke's eyes sharpened—his presence alone turned oppressive.

"…Fine. Then here's the deal. I promise Kurenai won't return to combat. And I won't stop you from going after Ōnoki. But… if Konoha ever faces true danger, I want you to step in."

"Deal." Yusuke didn't linger. He turned on his heel and walked out without another word.

Hiruzen sighed as he watched him leave.

"…That boy… he's becoming someone even I can't control."
