Chapter 78: Wrath of the Shura
"I came here for one reason—I'm taking Father back to Konoha," Hatake Yusuke said coldly.
At that moment, Shinku Yuhi finally understood Yusuke's true purpose.
"I won't go back. No matter what happens, I am still the White Fang of Konoha," Sakumo replied firmly.
"Then I'll just have to force you," Yusuke said flatly.
In an instant, a terrifying aura burst out from his body, sweeping across the camp like a tidal wave. The sheer pressure of his chakra froze the air itself. Even Sakumo and Shinku felt as though their bodies were caught in a death grip. The temperature plummeted, and the heaviness in the atmosphere pressed down on their lungs like iron weights.
"…So, four years have passed, and you've grown this powerful," Sakumo muttered, visibly shaken. Just that aura alone carried immense weight.
"You still want to push this, Father? You already couldn't stop me four years ago. What makes you think you can now?" Yusuke's tone remained detached.
"Then let's settle this. I'm not going back," Sakumo said resolutely.
"I figured you'd say that," Yusuke replied with a bitter smile.
The oppressive aura vanished as suddenly as it came, and Yusuke's body returned to its calm, composed state—like nothing had happened.
"So you're really not going to help Konoha fight this war?" Sakumo asked, narrowing his eyes.
"Of course I am. I just returned from crushing Sunagakure's forces. I thought I'd take a break and check in on you," Yusuke replied coolly.
"And what about that girl—Tsunade?" Sakumo continued.
"She's fine. I dealt with Sunagakure for her. Soon, the Third Hokage will likely send her elsewhere," Yusuke explained.
"You saw Kakashi?" Sakumo asked, his tone slightly more hopeful.
"Yes. He's progressing well. I'm keeping him in the village for now. Once Minato-nii finishes his current mission, I'll send Kakashi to the front," Yusuke answered calmly.
"I see…"
"This war will be an important test for Kakashi. Only those who've experienced the battlefield can grow stronger," Yusuke added, closing his eyes for a moment.
Shinku and the other shinobi in the room fell silent. To them, going to war was about duty and sacrifice. But to Yusuke, it sounded more like training—a path to greater power.
"Shinku-ojisan, where's Kurenai right now?" Yusuke asked suddenly.
"Kurenai? She's with the logistics unit. They should be arriving at the front lines by tonight," Shinku replied with a small smile.
Their conversation was suddenly interrupted by a panicked voice from outside.
"Emergency report!"
"Come in!" Shinku barked.
"What is it?!"
"The logistics unit has been ambushed by Iwagakure shinobi!" the ninja panted as he burst into the tent. On his back was a bloodied, barely conscious comrade.
"What?!"
"Quick—tell me their location!" Yusuke demanded sharply.
"I... I don't know. But he does," the ninja said, pointing to his wounded companion.
"Give him to me."
Yusuke gently lifted the injured shinobi and placed a hand on his chest.
"Blue Flames of Revival."
Bright blue flames emerged from Yusuke's palm—but instead of burning, they glowed softly. As they touched the shinobi's chest, something miraculous happened: wounds closed, torn muscles regenerated, even a missing arm reformed, good as new.
Shinku's eyes widened in disbelief. This level of healing... it was beyond anything conventional medicine could achieve.
"Where… am I?" the revived shinobi whispered, dazed.
"Tell me where the logistics team is—now!" Yusuke grabbed his collar, his expression dark with urgency.
Snapping back to reality, the shinobi quickly relayed the information.
Yusuke's face twisted into fury.
"If something's happened to them… I'll wipe Iwagakure off the map."
An overwhelming killing intent exploded from his body. The entire camp was drowned in a red, blood-like aura. Behind Yusuke, the ghostly image of a mountain of corpses and a sea of blood flickered into existence.
Sakumo could only watch in stunned silence.
What… what has my son gone through in these four years? What kind of darkness has he faced to produce this monstrous bloodlust?
As soon as he received the coordinates, Yusuke vanished—disappearing in a streak of golden light, faster than the eye could follow. The power of the Pika Pika no Mi carried him like lightning across the battlefield.
"Don't worry, Shinku. Yusuke will bring Kurenai back safely," Sakumo reassured him.
"I know…" Shinku murmured, though his heart was heavy with dread.
"Iwagakure… Ōnoki… You've crossed the line. I didn't want to get involved, but since you asked for it… don't blame me," Yusuke muttered as he raced across the terrain, his murderous aura still rippling through the sky.

Meanwhile, the situation at the logistics camp was dire.
"Is this… where we die?" Kurenai whispered, her hands trembling as she clutched her weapon. "I never even got the chance to see him one last time…"
"Kurenai, go! I'll hold them off!" Sarutobi Asuma shouted, stepping forward with grim determination.
"I'm not leaving!" she cried back, tightening her grip on the Clima-Tach, the weapon Yusuke had gifted her.
Around them, Konoha shinobi were falling one by one. The enemy had the upper hand.
"Ōnoki-sama, what's the plan?" one Iwagakure ninja asked a grim-looking elder.
"Kill them all!" barked the old man—Ohnin, a high-ranking Kage-level shinobi from Iwagakure, known as Ōnoki's right hand. His role in Iwagakure was not unlike Danzo's in Konoha.
An Iwa-nin launched forward, kunai aimed directly at Kurenai's chest.
But before it could connect, a calm voice echoed across the battlefield.
"Room."
A dome-shaped field of energy suddenly enveloped the area. In the blink of an eye, Kurenai vanished from the assassin's sight.
"You're not hurt, are you, you silly girl?"
Kurenai opened her eyes—and gasped.
"Is that really… you?"
"Yes. I'm here to take you home," Yusuke said softly.
"Yusuke…" Her tears flowed freely as she threw herself into his arms.
"It's okay now. I'm here. Once I erase Iwagakure's army, we're heading back to Konoha," Yusuke whispered, gently stroking her hair.
But when he turned to face the Iwa shinobi—his eyes were filled with pure, merciless rage.
"Transfer."
In a flash, every surviving Konoha shinobi was warped to a safe location. The Ope Ope no Mi—the fruit of surgical miracles—made it possible.
"Shinobi of Iwagakure… your lives end here."
Yusuke rose into the sky, floating above the battlefield.
"Endless Fire Domain."
His body ignited in brilliant golden flames—far hotter than the orange fire from four years ago. In a one-kilometer radius, a sea of fire erupted, engulfing everything in its path.
The flames burned so hot that the Iwagakure shinobi turned to ash before they could even scream.
"Is anyone still alive?" Yusuke murmured, scanning the scorched battlefield.
"Who are you?!" Ohnin cried out, shaking with fear. A single man had just wiped out an entire army. Was he even human?
"With strength like yours… you don't deserve to know my name. Die."
Bright green flames ignited in his palm—intensely hot and blinding.
"Divine Flame: Shiranui."
"Earth Release: Earth Wall!" Ohnin quickly formed hand seals, erecting a massive wall of rock to block the flames.
The fire struck, sending tremors through the wall—but didn't immediately breach it.
Yusuke scoffed.
"Quake Shock."
He swung his fist. The air around him cracked like glass—then shattered. The shockwave exploded outward, warping space itself.
Ohnin didn't even have time to react. The force slammed into him like a tidal wave. Bones snapped, blood burst from his mouth, and his body was flung like a ragdoll across the burning field.
