In the age before kingdoms, before the war drums thundered across Velderra, there existed a power neither light nor dark could tame. The Ancients called it the Heartflame — a force of creation and destruction woven into the very fabric of the world.
But power such as this demands balance.
From the spark of the Heartflame, two souls were born — one forged of blazing fire, the other cloaked in deepest shadow. Bound by fate, destined to clash, and yet forever intertwined. It was said:
"When the flame and shadow meet,
The world shall stand on edge of defeat.
One will rise; one will fall—
Only love can break the ancient thrall."
