Chapter 1 - Back To The 90's!

"Miss Han, are you even listening?"

Han Ruochen jolted awake. She raised her head and looked at the man sitting in front of her. For two seconds, she was really confused about the situation in front of her. What was going on? Wasn't she already killed by Han Ziyan and her ex-fiancé, Yang Jianming? Why was she here, and what happened to her dad?

As far as she could remember, her poor father was killed by her foolish siblings and their idiocy.

But then again, it was not their fault, as the one who was leading them all by their noses was their own biological mother.

"Miss Han Ruochen!"

Han Ruochen snapped out of her thoughts and looked at Principal Duan. The man was still the same as she could remember, with his bald pate shining under the dim lighting of the bulb, and his face twitched every time he was running out of patience. "You need to tell me this straight. Are you really okay with exchanging your position as the English Teacher with your sister? Did you really agree to this proposal while knowing that your sister, Miss Han Ziyan, is not skilled enough to take on this position?"

This… she remembered having this conversation with Principal Duan.

Suddenly, the tragic experiences that Han Ruochen went through in her past life came to her mind one after another.

She was actually reborn and returned to the nineties—back when she was twenty, that was to say, forty years ago!

Han Ruochen wanted to shed tears of joy as soon as this realisation hit her home.

As the third daughter of a pig farm owner, Han Ruochen had everything. Her father was loving, her mother was kind and a caring lover, and she had a bunch of siblings who, though a bit chaotic, were nice.

However, it was only on the surface.

And everything started to go downhill from the day she agreed to hand her job to Han Ziyan, the adopted daughter of the Han family. Though that was Han Ziyan's identity, Han Ruochen knew that it was not the truth and that her mother had lied to them. To all of them.

Han Ziyan was not the daughter of her dead sister but of Mother Han and her lover.

Mother Han had an old lover before she married Father Han. Even though she was living a comfortable life, Mother Han still felt resentful in her heart towards Father Han. This was a secret that Han Ruochen only got to know when she was on her deathbed.

Something Han Ziyan told her with great relish.

Back then, Mother Han was sent to the countryside as an educated youth; she ended up getting schemed against by someone in the educated youth centre. One thing led to another, and Mother Han ended up losing her reputation in the hands of Father Han. Thus, even though she was not willing to marry an uneducated villager, Mother Han had no other choice.

Father Han also felt guilty and believed that he had made his wife suffer. So, he treated her really well. No one in the countryside had a much better life than Mother Han.

But how could her mother, with her narrow-mindedness and petty heart, be satisfied? Her heart was still with her old lover in the city. She felt resentful towards Father Han, and together with the sweet words of her lover, she schemed against Father Han.

Not only did she cheat on her father, but she even gave birth to a daughter for her old lover.

And when Han Ziyan was old enough, Mother Han brought her to the countryside with her to the Han family, and from then onwards, she started to plan and scheme on how to give everything that belonged to the Han family to Han Ziyan.

Her mother believed that since her father ruined her and her lover's lives, this was the least he could do for them. Utterly shameless!

If her mother really wanted to marry her old lover, then she could have simply divorced her father. But no, she wanted the best of both worlds. If Han Ruochen was not wrong, that old lover of her mother was not as successful as her father, which was why he was willing to go to such lengths to grab the fortune of the Han family.

And her dear mother. For the sake of that lying, thieving bastard who was married and had three kids, was willing to ruin their entire family for him.

She deliberately taught her children the wrong things, watching them go down the wrong paths and made them useless. She also egged on and brainwashed Han Ruochen until she agreed to hand her job to Han Ziyan. After all, working as a teacher was quite a respectable job.

Her mother told her that, as she was getting married to Yang Jianming, this job was useless for her. After all, as a married woman, she just needed to stay at home and raise kids while serving her in-laws and husband.

When Han Ruochen thought of how she had given up this job for Yang Jianming, she wished she could slap herself countless times. That beast in human clothing sent him to the bed of his idiotic and violent brother. Han Ruochen still remembered the pain of living like a walking corpse while bearing the disdain of her own children and the laughter of Han Ziyan as she told her how she had killed her father and ruined and crippled her siblings before taking the entire fortune of the Han family for herself.

Maybe the heavens felt sorry for Han Ruochen and her family, or maybe the heavens couldn't bear the injustice that Han Ziyan and Mother Han inflicted on her family, but they gave her another chance.

In this life, she wanted revenge. She wanted to stoop lower than those villains who ruined her and repay the humiliation of her previous life tenfold to Han Ziyan and Mother Han, as well as the Sun and Yang families, who joined hands together with these two vicious women.
