After having a brief talk with Ray, Amber requested an audience with Ethan.
Ethan did not refuse. Instead, the two decided to meet in the palace park, walking side by side beneath tall trees whose leaves swayed gently in the evening breeze. The path was paved with white stone, and faint golden lights hovered above, illuminating the flowers and trimmed hedges. It was quiet, peaceful, almost too calm after everything that had happened.
Amber walked with her hands clasped behind her back, her steps light but hesitant.
"Sir Ethan," she said after a moment of silence, her voice careful, "can you perhaps not inform my father?"
Ethan, who had been walking a step ahead, suddenly stopped.
He froze for a brief moment, then let out a tired sigh. Turning slightly, he gave her a weary smile. "Lady Amber, I have already informed His Highness Lancelot."
Amber's expression drained of color instantly.
