Chapter 30 - Chapter 30 She Know

"Don't be afraid, it's nothing serious. I've already applied the medicine."

The doctor who came was a beautiful, heroic woman, tall and slender, with gentle features and a soft, gentle voice. She gave off a gentle, unhurried, and unhurried feeling.

Su Qing was initially resistant, but Mei Yeqin wore a faint smile, her eyes warm. There was no contempt, disdain, doubt, or prying.

Su Qing gradually relaxed from her resistance with this female doctor.

Mei Yeqin also noticed that Su Qing had a lot of scars on her body. Seeing Su Qing's hair still damp, she gave her a few more words of advice.

"But try not to shower. Wait a couple of days."

Su Qing lay on the bed, silent, her fingers gripping the sheets tightly.

The girl's skin was delicate, covered in numerous scars, though thankfully, no bones were broken. Mei Yeqin, a very polite woman, said nothing more and asked no questions. She simply detailed the medicine and precautions, then closed the door and left.

Mei Yeqin looked at the young man standing outside. His face had left her somewhat dazed, but she quickly recovered, grabbing the medical kit.

"The girl's skin isn't seriously injured. It's just some minor injuries."

She rushed over as soon as she received Jiang Sui's text. She thought it was a serious injury, not a serious one, but it was clear it was quite serious, especially given the girl's delicate skin. The scars alone made Mei Yeqin frown, clearly able to make a rough guess. She frowned at Jiang Sui.

She must have been bullied, and since she was a student, it was obvious it was probably a school bully.

"How did she get those injuries? Should we call the police?"

"And her parents..."

Every word was spoken gently and calmly. As a doctor and friend, she understood the situation, but as a parent and elder, Mei Yeqin couldn't help but add a few words.

Jiang Sui looked at his toes, raised his head, shook it, pursed his lips, and glanced at the door.

"She didn't want to call the police."

"She was afraid her family would worry."

Jiang Sui frowned, still not revealing everything. His fingers at his side clenched into fists.

She was the elder after all. Mei Yeqin's brow furrowed, wanting to say something but only sighing. He was just like her sister, stubborn. If he wanted to say something, he'd tell you. If he didn't want to, no matter how you tried to pry him out, it would be useless.

The young man in front her stood tall and handsome, his eyes truly dark.

She remembered him as a child, when he wasn't like this. His academics, appearance, and upbringing were all top-notch. Now, he seemed rather gloomy, melancholic, and unruly.

"If you need anything, call Auntie."

"And if you need any help, let me know."

"Don't do anything on your own."

Jiang Sui nodded.

"I know."

The boy's temperament had changed considerably, and Mei Yeqin was still a little worried. However, remembering that children his age were often too rebellious, she didn't dare to control him too much. After all, she and Jiang Sui were semi-friends, which was why she was able to get closer to him.

"I don't mind making friends."

"It's just that you're still underage."

"Don't do anything out of line...!"

She then said something that made her face blush...

"Also, this is the girl you were talking about. She's quite pretty."

After that, she slammed the door shut.

After the door closed, the room was completely silent, so quiet that one could hear the sound of rain outside.

Jiang Sui's eye sockets were slightly flushed. He pursed his lips, feeling a bit dry. He stood up, pulled out the refrigerator, and took a bottle of iced drink. He unscrewed the lid and took a few sips.

He stared at the door not far away, as if he wanted to see through it.

Su Qing lay on the bed, feeling that the drug had almost worn off. She carefully began to dress. The bedroom was simply furnished, with few extra items. She remembered that this was a hotel, but the closet was full of Jiang Sui's clothes.

Had he always stayed in hotels?

The clothes belonged to Jiang Sui: a black shirt and black shorts.

One was stagnant, the other scorching.

Su Qing closed the door and walked in Jiang Sui's direction. Her pale face looked much better now, though the tear marks were still visible.

Her shirt was tightly buttoned, buttoned to the very top. The hem was wide, and Su Qing tucked it into her shorts. The waistband was too wide, but thankfully, it had a belt. Su Qing casually tied a bow. Her calves, which should have been fair, were now glaringly red and purple under the light.

Jiang Sui's eyes darkened as he watched Su Qing approach him. He could see she was nervous, her fingers constantly tugging at the edge of her trouser legs.

"Jiang Sui, thank you."

She truly thanked him. Perhaps worried she wasn't being devout enough, the girl bowed deeply. Even though her shirt was buttoned all the way to the top, her porcelain-white neck still revealed a bit, revealing the delicate slenderness of her collarbone...

Jiang Sui clutched the water bottle in his hand, tilted his head, and fluttered his eyelashes. The girl's distant gesture and bowing posture made Jiang Sui's eyes darken, and it took him a moment to find his voice.

"What are you thanking me for? Don't you know what I want?"

The voice was a bit harsh, a slight tremor in it, and a hint of hoarseness. His profile was like jade, and he was extremely handsome.

Su Qing scratched her fingers, sat down on a nearby chair, propped up her chin with one hand, and then, with her other hand, softly caressed Jiang Sui's face.

The boy was startled.

Completely unprepared for such a sudden intimacy, he stared at Su Qing in shock, meeting her cold, misty eyes. Jiang Sui, years later, thought, back then, even if she had asked him to commit murder and arson, he would have willingly done so.

Those eyes, those small hands, yet so warm. The girl raised her head slightly.

"I know, I know, Jiang Sui."

"But I can't promise you."

"Are you still willing to do this?"

She said nothing, yet everything seemed clear. Her voice was so soft, her pink lips twitched into a faint smile, and then he tilted his head.

"Jiang Sui, I'm not yet an adult."

"I want to study hard."

"Is that okay?"

What did he say then?

The girl leaned in front of him and gently pressed her lips against his. It felt cool, soft, fragrant, and sweet...

It was like a dream.

"Okay."

He said a single word.

That was "Okay."

How old were they then?

Only seventeen.
