Rose started a new life in Kikky's house. She was no longer maltreated although sometimes they scold her.
Four weeks after, Rose couldn't be recognized by anyone who knew her before. She was now beautiful and glowing.
"Rose!" Mrs Sofia called. Rose hurried to the kitchen.
"Yes ma" she answered
"Help me with this fish. Then after that make the soup. Hurry up and don't waste time"
"Yes ma'am" Rose quickly began the work given to her. Mrs Sofia gave her a look then went to the room.
She brought her phone out and called someone.
"Ohh,...Yes we are training it... Yes no problem.... Don't worry just give us like five months and everything would be done.... Yes I'm very sure.... Okay..... Hmm" The phone call ended. She gave a creepy smile and then closed her eyes.
Rose rang the bell that indicated it was time for dinner. Everyone came out to eat.
"Ouchh!!" Rose exclaimed as she fell hard on the ground. She looked at Kikky with disbelieve written all over her face.
"Can't you see, you fell yourself down. I didn't even pushed you, so why are you glaring at me" Kikky mocked her.
Rose couldn't say a word.
"so, are you going to start crying? Ohh, let me...."
"Enough!" A powerful voice boomed through the house and went straight into their hearts.That was Kikky's dad. Kikky glared at Rose before finally settling down to eat.
After dinner, Rose was in deep thought. She slowly recollected all what has been happening nowadays.
'Did I offend Kikky?' she thought in her heart.
Kikky was becoming distant to Rose. And she often mocked and bullied her, though it wasn't really bad.
'But we were best friends. Why Is she behaving like this towards me. Why did she move to another room. Why why whyy' Rose sobbed.
'Maybe I should ask her tomorrow. I would ask her'. She started sobbing again.
The next morning, Rose woke up early, did all the chores, then went to meet Kikky.
"HI bf" She started.
"Huh, I came here to ask you some questions that has been on my mind for some time. Have I offended you, did I do anything wrong?? Please tell me. I'll change. It's killing me. Please...".
Kikky laughed and mimicked Rose. "Rose, know your place. Don't ever come near me. I wouldn't say this again. And you disgust me. Don't come anywhere close to me again."
Rose couldn't believe her ears. She was dumbfounded as she stood there like a fool. Kikky hissed and walked away. She remembered something and came back to Rose.
" I heard Marc has been talking to you. Goodluck in advance. " She walked out and closed the door hard.
Rose stood there, not knowing what to do. Then she started laughing. She laughed hard that tears came out from her eyes.
"So, so that's why she's giving me attitude. Hahahaha, God Thank you. This girl is not serious. How can she make a big deal over this minor issue." Rose said and knew to do.
In the cafeteria, Rose went to meet Marc.
"Hi Marc. I have some things to tell you. Can we go to somewhere more private?" Rose politely asked him, cause she knew what she was going to say next might hurt him. Marc nodded and followed her.
"hum, Marc, im really sorry cause what I want to say might be hurtful. You know I have a best friend and she has a crush on you. Now there is a big misunderstanding. She thought we are a thing and that has caused a fight. Marc, you know their family is my helper, please i don't want anything that can make them send me out of the house. I don't want to go back to square one". At that point Rose was crying hard.
Now let's explain some things.
Marc is Rose's childhood friend. His family is wealthy, and was very familiar with Rose when her mom was alive. Rose's mom and dad relationship was very good, but that changed when Rose's dad met Mrs Sharon, who bewitched him. Mrs Sharon is responsible for the death of Rose's mom, Caroline.
After that Mrs Sharon killed John, Rose's dad. Then she became the owner of the house and maltreated Rose.
Marc knew all this, and their friendship was close. But things turned around when Rose changed schools. There she met Kikky, who is now her best friend.
Marc managed to convince his mum about him changing school. He did this because of Rose, and they naturally met each other.
Rose explained to him that she has a new best friend, but that wouldn't stop him from being her top best friend. She also told him not to let anyone know that they knew each other. They were practically strangers in school but can communicate. Marc agreed, and no one else was aware. Hence the reason for Kikky's hostility, Rose didn't inform her of her relationship with Marc. Though they don't interact much, they still chat with each other.
Marc was heartbroken. He didn't expect this at all, his heart felt suffocated.
"I'll try" he managed to say.
"I said let's cut ties!" Rose shouted.
Marc was stunned at first,
"Rose, cut ties?. We are best friends, we knew each other from a tender age, now you want to leave me for a girl you met when. You broke our promise, and I didn't talk. How can you have another best friend. How!!. You don't know how it hurts. You don't know!. And still, I didn't complain. But now,you want to cut ties. Okay, that's fine, I'll cut ties with you. As from today onwards, I don't know anyone bearing Rose Harper!!."
Marc said and left the scene. Rose broke down into tears and cried her heart out.
