"Rose! Rose!!" Mrs Sharon shouted.
"Yes ma'am!!" Rose said in fear. Cause she knew the consequences of not answering.
Mrs Sharon walked briskly to her side and gave her two slaps simultaneously.
"Oh, I see. You've grown wings, right!? Now, I want you to know something, you are a bastard!!" Mrs Sharon said, shaking and jumping angrily.
Rose sighed deeply in her heart.
'Oh Lord, make her let me go. I have assignment!' She cried in her heart
Of course, the words doesn't hurt her anymore, cause she has heard it countless times; morning, midnight, afternoon, anywhere.
After about 30 minutes, she finally left. Rose resumed her chores, while thinking about the day she would have her freedom.
"Bingg!! Binng!!" Her so called phone rang loudly. She quickly went towards it and picked the call.
"Rose!!!!" Her best friend screamed into the phone. Rose quickly moved it away from her ear.
"Yes, Kikky how many times do you want me to tell you to stop screaming like a kid" Rose scolded.
"Oh I can't contain my excitement, Rose. You won't believe this" Kikky said, successfully catching Rose's attention.
"What this time" Rose said, now curious.
"Kk, The new guy in the class glanced towards my direction today!!"
Rose sighed deeply,
' I should have known, I should have known' She lamented.
"Kikky.." Rose started, "When will you call to ask me about assignment"
"oh Rose, I thought you'll be moved. You are a nerd!!" Kikky quickly said.
"Whatever you call me" Rose said indifferently.
" I need to go now. I'm doing some chores. Catch ya later" Rose said
"Okay bye" Kikky finally ended the call
Ruth sighed again and kept on doing her chores.
She finished in the night and was very exhausted. Her step family were not in the house, they will be coming tomorrow. She was very happy.
She went to freshen up then had her dinner, before studying. She slept around the midnight, on the cold floor.
The next morning, she was woken up with a bucket of cold water poured on her. Before she could scream she was slapped again. Then whipped, then kicked, then mocked. Rose kept on screaming and screaming and screaming, till she fainted...
