Chapter fourty-eight.
Renjiro lays in the hospital bed.
Renjiro: "I failed mom... and dad..."
Renjiro said covering his eyes as he starts to cry, his body hooked up to a blood bag as he watched his match on replay for hours.
The next week Aito's Match comes up and it's now only three days before his match and renjiro is released from the hospital.
Renjiro stood in the hall near the entrance.
Aito, Lucas and Naoki even Yoten walked to the entrance to meet Renjiro.
Aito: "Renjiro!"
Aito hugged Renjiro.
Renjiro: "be a little careful..."
Renjiro said as he seen Yoten.
Renjiro nodded to Yoten as if to say hi, Naoki walked up to Renjiro.
Naoki: "I seen your fight. It was good. Not as good as my belt matches but... good."
Naoki said as he flexed his arm.
Lucas: "Good job Renjiro."
Lucas said as he clapped.
Renjiro: "I wanted to say bye."
Renjiro said making them a little shocked.
Lucas: "what?"
Renjiro: "I'm... retiring. I don't think boxing is for me. I gave it my life and it didn't give me back."
Renjiro said looking down.
Renjiro: "plus I'm 26 now. Im nearing the end of my prime."
Renjiro said as he stepped back holding a bag.
Aito: "atlease visit..."
Aito said sadly.
Renjiro: "actually I have something for you."
Renjiro pulled out some worn red boxing gloves.
Aito: "Your old gloves?"
Renjiro: "yeah. Wear them to altease keep a part of me in this sport."
Renjiro said his fist on Aito's chest.
Yoten: "Take care Renjiro."
Yoten said as Renjiro walked onto the bus.
Lucas: "I'll make sure to call you up sometimes."
Renjiro: "yeah."
Renjiro said as the doors closed.
Aito: "..."
Aito watched Renjiro leave.
Lucas: "he went out with a bang didn't he?"
Lucas said to Naoki who walked with him.
Naoki: "oh yeah. I don't wanna admit it but it looked like he was fighting for a belt."
Naoki said to Lucas as he walked back into the school.
Aito looked down at the gloves in tears.
Yoten: "Hey Aito... wanna maybe go get a drink?"
Aito: "yeah."
Aito said walking with yoten.
Later in the counsel room.
Nazuko: "something very wrong happened. One of our old students drank the blood of a devil and turned to one. His name is Renjiro... we paid him 7k for his loss and he decided to part ways."
Ringo: "and we got a profit of 20k."
Ringo gleamed.
Nakaza: "we should put half of that 20k into medical."
Sato: "or better broadcasting gear."
Sato said rubbing her chin.
Nazuko: "yes we should make that happen."
Nazuko said as they agreed.
Toruu: "I think Aito's rise to demon king will take even longer then I first thought."
Toruu the owner of the Demon legion he sits at the 9th owner.
Sato: "you say..."
Sato leaned back in her seat.
Toruu: "though we give Hideo extra money to try to make Aito awaken?"
Toruu asked the council.
Nazuko: "yes we could. After all that should give Aito the right amount of fear and anger. After all hideo isn't a nice guy."
Nazuko said as Toruu nodded.
Sato: "what's your rein looking like Toruu?"
Sato asked.
Toruu: "Still not good. After all as Aito approaches the throne the old throne owner will die. But I can't leave my post or the demons will take the earth captive."
Toruu said as Nazuko nodded.
Nazuko: "what will Aito do once he becomes king do you think?"
Toruu: "I don't know. Maybe let the demons free? Or hold them back himself?"
Toruu wondered as this is a major issue.
Nazuko: "if he let them free that would mean humans go extinct as the demons would enter their body then eat each other."
Nazuko said as he thought carefully.
Toruu: "even if they went out Aito wouldn't die."
Toruu said leaning back.
Nazuko: "what do you mean?"
Nazuko asked.
Toruu: "well he's the demon king. Meaning even if he doesn't know it yet he's set to be able to make multiple judgements at a time compared to one like the average demon."
Toruu said as people started getting uncomfortable knowing that Aito could potentially kill anyone at anytime if he so wanted too in only a couple years compared to past demon kings that told years to become that strong.
Nakaza: "we've already seen him triple his movement speed easily it won't be long until he gains hyper speed."
Nakaza said as Nazuko stood up.
Nazuko: "as the time passes will he gain super strength?"
Nazuko asked Toruu.
Toruu: "possibly. But if he wasn't born with it then no. He probably will not gain super strength as demons are born with a power that they grow to become stronger."
Toruu said as the meeting was dismissed.
