A dry war field, soldiers fighting for their lives to defend their kingdom, a war brought to their own homes. Azoria at first sight, seems like a calm town with peaceful people. What meets the eye is a city pure out of fantasyland. A large palace, market places, people interacting with each other, children playing on the fields of Azoria. but behind the fictional expo, is an empire made out of blood, politics and lots of usurpation...
"Follow the formation!!" Shouts the general but nobody heeds.
General kael, a man with a shining Armor pretending to be strong, the only son of the king Karyos of the Azoria kingdom. A man more than 18 in age, blond hair,weak physique,hasty all the time.
He notices that soldiers respond to a different person, a low rank warrior not even a captain.Enter mordan gauge: the protagonist of the very story, gauge was a man in his 20s a decent physique and extraordinary skills, his eyes blue and face like that of an angel, yet his fighting resembles a devil, beard not neither fully grown not clearly shaved and hair as wavy as the oceans of azoria themselves weapon of choice : dagger. Everywhere he fought the army fought everywhere he strikes the army strikes yet he was only a infantry soldier. Meanwhile the enemy kingdom veruzuela had an able commander Elthraf, standing amidst a mountain of corpse as gauge approaches him.
"pretentious bastard,isn't he?" Gauge still frowning at him, noticing this elthraf responds,
"Everybody knows this gauge, everybody knows your the muscle and yet here you are not even a captain of the army".
gauge steadies his breath as he retrieves his dagger from one of the fallen soldier,
"This kingdom fed me elthraf, gave me something more valuable than a mere position in power, care" Elthraf makes a disgusted reaction as he was about to puke,
"you strong men, always some stupid emotions to nerf yourselves, well that would not stop me, if you would not join us as our king demanded you are my enemy, gauge"
The fight begins the two men clash Elthraf a large greatsword and gauge with a short dagger yet the power remains the same.
Elthraf rains mordan with a unremorseful attacks,
"one million slash"
yells Elthraf as his sword speeden up to rain attacks faster.But gauge was calm and collected blocking and analyzing his every move,
" A million slashes? Just because one isn't good enough doesn't mean a million would be"
with a perfectly timed parry gauge sends the sword flying and cuts of both of Ethraf's legs.a soldier of Venezuela troops notices this and shouts,
" our commander is down, every healthy soldier who can hear me rush towards him, save him from the monster...".
A series of angry men run towards gauge but he cuts through them like butter....archers launch arrows damaging gauge for a while but soon shield reinforcement backed up gauge and blocked all the arrows, and a group of archers from azoria kingdom round the enemies up. The foot soldiers, gauge is making fine work out of them. He turns to Elthraf,
"you can still return alive just call a retreat"
as his own comrades looked at him confused.
"come on you already lost your legs, half your troops is gone, be good commander and call of the attack, save the remaining half and return to Venezuela".
Elthraf thinks for a while and takes a deep breath as he shouts,
"Retreat!! Return to venuzuela and reform we ll plan what to do with the enemy in our city, for now retreat".as the soldiers withdraw from the battlegrounds of azoria gauge is relieved. Cut to the inside of the kingdom a grand palace made of white marble glistening everywhere, king karyos on his golden throne asked gauge who was accused of treason,
"why did you let the enemies retreat gauge? You know elthraf doesn't give up."
The king was more concerned about gauge than angry.Karyos was a caring man, but he was atmost a puppet ruler of Azoria. His wife serephine made all the major decisions affecting the kingdom.That is why he was concerned,his wife was also the one that convinced the courtmen to keep gauge as a low level infantry while he clearly has more potential.Kael the commander walks forward,
"My king this soldier is dangerous he might be conspiring with the enemy for all we know, he must be punished."
the king sighs, for he knows that his son the general was just a coward insecure about his position in the army and that gauge could claim it any time he wants if he just demanded it.
"Do not utter a word boy, gauge is a more potent leader than you ll ever be...if it weren't for him Elthraf is a tough opponent to bring down, YOU cannot scratch his belly let alone defeat him..."
said the king.
" But you re majesty gauge is clearly dangerous, all that power and where does it come from? Nobody in these lands know of gauge's lineage he might be one of those monsters from Enderworld for all we know"
Kael claims nervously.
" You fool does he look like a beast, spoilt brat..."shouted the king "I ve seen gauge hone his skills through painfull training while you sat in your chamber ordering your maidens to feed you grapes".
Gauge interrupts the conversation,
" I know I am not a beast yet these lands do not know of me, I may be human but to become a general and lead this kingdom to victory I need to learn about the secrets of my lineage and if nobody from these lands know, maybe the answers lie beyond the borders of Azoria in the Enderworld, your majesty i request you to grant permission for me to walk across the enderworld and discover more about myself"
Everyone turns towards the skies of azoria visible through the large archways. As they witness a lightning from the direction of The Enderworld, pure fear is filled in they're eyes, as they return their gaze upon gauge, who isn't even shaken by the lightning. A strong resolve strengthens his heart.
ENDERWORLD - A place beyond the borders of Azoria where deadly monsters are thought to prowl, As anyone to investigate never returned. Due to its dangerous nature and unpredictability, Karyos forbid anyone even near the Enderworld.
