Chapter 46 - Chapter 46 That's the Torch of Berk Island

Hiccup walked through the piles of bones, directly taking out his retractable shield. There was no other way; the bones here were too scattered.

Inside, there were not only Dragon bones but also human skulls, and even quite a few relatively complete skeletons.

Hiccup found a few Dragon bones, hollowed them out, and smoothed their edges, making them just barely usable.

After all this was done, Astrid leaned over and asked, "Hiccup, what are you going to do?!"

Hiccup couldn't explain clearly, so he could only tell her, "Go tame those Dragons first! I believe you can do it!"

Astrid immediately asked excitedly, "Really?! Hiccup, you're so good!"

"Smack~!" Astrid excitedly kissed Hiccup.

If he hadn't had something in his hands, he definitely would have been able to dodge it; otherwise, he absolutely couldn't let that woman take advantage of him.

Because Astrid was the one who ultimately defeated these Dragons, taming them was also very easy.

Meanwhile, Hiccup crouched down on the beach, collecting silica sand, preparing to make glass bottles.

It was the kind of shiny, transparent sand mixed in with the regular sand.

After filtering and separating this sand from the fine sand, he obtained pure silica sand, then put it into hollow Dragon bones, and then found two thinner bones to keep as spares.

After everything was ready, Hiccup came before the Terrible Terror and said in Dragon Language, "Breathe fire at this bone! Don't stop until I tell you to stop!"

The Terrible Terror said fearfully, "Yes, sir!"

Then, Hiccup dodged its flames, watching it continuously breathe fire onto the Dragon bone.

Toothless was watching the Terrible Terror closely from the side; if it dared to make any small moves, Toothless would attack it directly.

As the temperature rose, the silica sand melted inside the red-hot Dragon bone, then flowed out from the other end of the Dragon bone.

The newly melted silica sand was as red as molten iron, but with a bit more viscosity.

Hiccup quickly used the prepared bone to catch the flowing liquid, then used a slender bone to blow into the collected liquid.

Due to the extremely primitive conditions, he could only rely on brute force.

Like blowing a balloon, the silica sand liquid, which had originally solidified, was directly blown up, its edges gradually thinning, and its internal space growing larger and larger.

As the temperature dropped, the silica sand liquid slowly began to take shape, and it would be ready to use once it finally cooled down.

Hiccup made more than thirty glass bottles consecutively before stopping. Firstly, because the Four-Headed Dragon's blood and venom were not abundant, and secondly, his own energy was limited.

Each glass bottle could hold seven or eight catties. The reason for this uncertainty and instability was entirely due to the primitive conditions; the blown glass bottles varied in size.

When Astrid saw the glass bottles, she immediately exclaimed, "It's crystal! Hiccup, you can make crystal!"

"Such large crystals could at least be exchanged for a hundred sheep!"

There was no other way; on such a primitive island, they still lived by bartering. Although there was gold, it was generally not used for trade, so everything was measured in sheep.

Hiccup said indifferently, "Right now, there isn't much equipment. Otherwise, I could make it even more crystal clear. By then, it could definitely be exchanged for a thousand sheep!"

"Wow! Are you serious?! If there really are such good crystals, they can be exchanged for a lot of sheep, and then the villagers won't have to starve!"

Hiccup smiled faintly and said, "Alright! Even the best things are worthless if not used. First, collect the Four-Headed Dragon's blood like I'm doing, then add just a tiny bit of venom, don't add too much."

Astrid immediately asked with some confusion, "If we fill so many, how will we take them back?!"

Hiccup glanced at the Dragons behind him and said, "With so many Dragons, what's there to fear?! Just fill them up!"

Astrid had witnessed the efficacy of this potion and also believed that the more, the better. And with so many Dragons, an unmasked smile hung on her face as she worked.

After everything was packed up, it was almost dark. The dozen or so sheep from before also had to be taken away; they couldn't be left here, or else Dragons would surely come sniffing them out in the night.

However, Toothless's injuries had not fully healed. Flying Hiccup was fine, but if he carried so many things, he definitely wouldn't be able to fly back.

Astrid saw Hiccup's difficulty, so after hesitating for a while, she said, "Why don't we stay here for the night?!"

Hiccup directly denied it, saying, "No! Most Dragons come out at night! It's too dangerous to stay here overnight! We must return to Berk Island!"

"But what about all these things?!" Astrid asked, a bit distressed.

Hiccup glanced at the two dead Deadly Nadders and immediately had an idea.

One was killed by him, and the other was accurately struck by Astrid's axe. Hiccup directly smeared the blood of these two Dragons onto the sheep.

Then, he hid these sheep in the Four-Headed Dragon's nest, covering their tracks with bones around them.

This way, not only could the sheep's form be hidden, but their scent could also be concealed. Moreover, these sheep wouldn't run away at all because they had lived in the Dragon Nest for so long.

They had long been scared half to death; as long as they could sense the Dragons' aura, the sheep wouldn't dare to move.

Immediately, Hiccup had the Dragons take all the glass bottles and fly, following behind Toothless. Astrid rode Stormfly and flew alongside Toothless, providing mutual support.

On the way, after flying for a while, Toothless was clearly beginning to pant heavily. Fortunately, his wounds had healed, though they still hurt.

Hiccup patted Toothless's neck and said, "Toothless, hold on! We'll be there soon!"

"Roar~!"

Toothless roared in response, also reminding the Dragons behind them not to fall behind.

Soon, a light appeared on the distant sea. Hiccup knew it was the torches of Berk Island.

Upon seeing this torch, Toothless also became much more excited, flying even faster in the night.

And on the shore of Berk Island, Stoick and Gobber were waiting anxiously. After all, it was already dark, and Stoick was very worried that something might happen to Hiccup.

Gobber looked at Stoick's unwavering back and said, "Don't worry! The Hiccup of today is no longer the Hiccup of the past! Maybe he'll be back soon!"

Stoick frowned and remained silent, his gaze fixed on the distant sea.

Behind him, the Terrible Terror was dozing off bored. Suddenly, it sensed the aura of Dragons, immediately stood up, blocked Stoick's path, and adopted a posture ready for battle.

Stoick murmured to himself, "Could it be that Dragons are attacking the village?! But what about Hiccup?!"

"May Odin protect him, Hiccup must not encounter a Dragon pack!"
