Chapter 19 - Chapter 19 Encounter with the Siren

After all the parts were installed, Hiccup attached the buckle to the Night Fury's tail, carefully watching the Night Fury's movements as he tightened the screw, afraid of hurting it.

Fortunately, the buckle's error was not significant, and after it was secured, the Night Fury showed no reaction. Looking at the stainless steel buckle he had made, Hiccup clapped his hands and said, "Stop eating!"

However, nothing was more important than food!

The Night Fury completely ignored Hiccup and continued to eat the grilled fish carefully. It looked as if it was afraid of the heat, or perhaps reluctant to finish it. The reason, however, was simply that the Night Fury was imitating Hiccup's manner of eating fish.

Hiccup walked up to the Night Fury, somewhat speechless, and said, "You can spit high-temperature fireballs, but you're afraid of being burned by grilled fish that's less than a hundred degrees?!"

The Night Fury continued to happily eat the grilled fish, as if the fact that it had grilled the fish itself gave it a special sense of accomplishment.

Having no other choice, Hiccup tied the pre-prepared safety rope to the Night Fury's body, then tightened the rope around himself, and said to the Night Fury in Dragon Language, "You can fly now!"

The Night Fury did not believe Hiccup's words. After all, it had been stuck here for several days, and if it could fly, it would have flown away long ago.

Hiccup waited until the Night Fury had completely finished all the grilled fish, then it went off on its own to find a rock to sleep on. Hiccup, meanwhile, was pulled along, sliding for a while by the safety rope attached to him.

Then, Hiccup directly flipped onto the Night Fury's back and said, "Trust me! You can fly!"

The Night Fury flapped its wings twice in a perfunctory manner, as if signaling to Hiccup that it couldn't fly at all.

But as it flapped its wings, it suddenly felt a shiny object on its tail. It even cutely brought its tail in front of itself, looking at the shiny stainless steel buckle on it.

"Roar~~"

The Night Fury excitedly let out a Dragon roar, then gathered strength in its four limbs and took off directly from the spot.

If he hadn't been tied with the safety rope, Hiccup would have been thrown off directly.

The whistling sea breeze once again filled his ears, and the clouds in the sky reappeared beside him.

The Night Fury seemed to be enjoying the joy of regaining what it had lost, so it didn't forget to let out cheerful Dragon roars as it flew.

This massive roar quickly spread throughout the Crow Ridge forest, scaring Astrid, who quickly hid behind a tree, holding her double-bladed axe, secretly observing the surroundings.

She was thinking, "As long as that Dragon dares to come over, I will definitely kill it!"

Looking through the gaps in the branches, a black shadow ascended into the sky almost in the blink of an eye. Astrid looked at the black shadow and murmured, "It's, it's a Night Fury!"

Watching the Night Fury fly away, Astrid quickly grabbed her large axe and ran towards the village. Her eagerness to fight was almost instantly extinguished.

After all, to the people of Berk Island, the Night Fury was synonymous with death. It came and went without a trace, and its damage was immense!

But after running a few steps, Astrid suddenly stopped again, because she suddenly remembered that Hiccup had gone into the forest, and what would happen if he encountered the Night Fury.

"Oh no! Hiccup must be in danger!"

Although she was also very scared, for Hiccup's sake, Astrid still decided to head deeper into the forest.

At this moment, Hiccup had already ridden the Night Fury out of the Crow Ridge forest, directly soaring into the white clouds, gliding along the upper layer of the white clouds.

Hiccup constantly observed the difference between the tail fin he made and the Night Fury's original tail fin.

Aside from the buckle being a bit dazzling, there was no significant difference, and the Night Fury's balance was also very good when flying.

"Roar-aow~~~"

The Night Fury excitedly rolled back and forth in the clouds, while Hiccup was somewhat overwhelmed. After all, he was not a pilot in his previous or current life, and such sudden drops and aerial spins were difficult to adapt to all at once.

The Night Fury's speed was incredibly fast, which was fine, but then the Night Fury took Hiccup on short-distance spatial jumps. Although it looked very much like a flash, he had nothing on him except the safety rope.

"Bang!"

A blue-purple fireball exploded directly in front, and the Night Fury dove into its own fireball just before the explosion.

Fortunately, the Night Fury blocked it for Hiccup; otherwise, it wouldn't have just been singed hair, but definitely disfigurement.

Before Hiccup could react, the Night Fury made a dive, and Hiccup immediately felt his scalp tingle.

Afterward, the Night Fury weaved back and forth among the towering sea stacks. While its agility satisfied Hiccup, flying so close to the rocks still made Hiccup nervous.

Even characters in animated movies would be scared, so how could he not be? After all, his physique had only just begun to improve; he was only stronger than ordinary Vikings, and still far inferior to seasoned Vikings like his cheap dad, Stoick.

Not just in combat experience, but also in strength.

If compared to ordinary Vikings on Berk Island, Hiccup could fight five, while Stoick, with his rich combat experience, could fight ten!

Therefore, as the Night Fury flew, Hiccup held onto its neck even tighter. As if sensing Hiccup's tension, the Night Fury slowed down considerably.

Flying tightly along the surface of the sea, Hiccup could even reach out and touch the gentle seawater.

However, as they were flying, the Night Fury suddenly became tense, and its two ears stood straight up.

Hiccup didn't understand what was happening, nor did he know what the Night Fury saw. When he looked down at the sea again, he suddenly pulled back his hand in fright.

Because a human face appeared on the surface of the sea, following the direction of the Night Fury's flight, scaring Hiccup into quickly retracting his hand.

This was not his reflection, nor was it his imagination, because this human face had followed for a long time, and it was a woman's face.

"Siren!" Hiccup almost blurted out.

Because in his memory, he always heard Stoick tell him to catch piranhas, but he ended up trying to catch Sirens.

So that also meant Hiccup had seen Sirens, and it wasn't that he was going to catch them, but rather that he had been enchanted by them.

To be honest, the Siren was indeed beautiful, with sea-blue eyes and golden hair swaying with the waves.

But the more beautiful something was, the more dangerous it was. Hiccup quickly patted the Night Fury's neck and said, "Hurry up!"

"Roar~~"

The Night Fury let out an angry roar, startling the Siren for a moment, then quickly ascended with Hiccup.

The Siren seemed unwilling to give up, leaping directly out of the water. Fortunately, the Night Fury's speed was fast enough; it was almost pierced by the bone knife in the Siren's hand.

It was at that instant that Hiccup saw a shimmering fish tail below the Siren's waist...
