Chapter 18 - Chapter 18 Still Can't Escape

Looking at Terrible Terror's pleading eyes, Hiccup knew that he was somewhat afraid of Gobber. After all, before losing his left hand and right foot, he was a true Dragon Slayer.

And the number of Dragons that died by his hands was uncountable, so Terrible Terror would naturally develop a sense of fear.

Hiccup glanced at Gobber, then patted Terrible Terror's horn and said, "Wait here!"

Then he said to Gobber, "Don't worry! If you try feeding it sea fish, this Dragon will become obedient!"

Upon hearing this, Gobber immediately became excited. From his eyes, it was clear that Gobber wanted to ride the Dragon into the sky.

But he was also a little fearful, so he chuckled to Hiccup and said, "Come back soon!"

Then he turned and took the sea fish, preparing to feed Terrible Terror. Normally, he would just toss the food into the Dragon Jail, but feeding it at such close proximity made his arm vaguely ache.

After all, his left hand was bitten off by a Dragon, and although he had already killed the Dragon that bit off his arm, once bitten by a snake, one fears a well rope for ten years, let alone the most common Dragons.

After putting a basket of sea fish on his back, Hiccup quickly headed towards Crow Ridge.

Before leaving, he deliberately circled Berk Island because his Twin sister was following him like a shadow. After finally shaking off his Twin sister, he walked into Crow Ridge.

Hiccup suddenly remembered that in the original story, Astrid was on this very path sulking with her axe. He hadn't seen Astrid on Berk Island earlier, so she must be here.

Immediately, Hiccup chose to take a small detour. Although it was a bit longer, it was better than exposing Night Fury.

However, halfway there, he suddenly heard sounds of 'Heh-ha!' from a distance!

"Thud!"

Just as Hiccup was about to turn and leave, a double-bladed great axe flew past his arm and directly embedded itself into the large tree in front of him!

"Holy crap!"

Hiccup couldn't help but exclaim, because if that axe had been off by just a little, it would have split him in half!

"Hiccup, where are you going!?" Astrid leaped over from between a few large trees in two or three steps, did a backflip, took down her axe, and then held it against Hiccup's neck!

"Speak! Why were you secretly watching me practice axe throwing!? Do you have any ideas!?" As she spoke, Astrid's footsteps kept getting closer.

And she said very proudly, "Don't think you can do whatever you want just because you've become a Dragon Knight! I'm telling you! I will absolutely not agree to you!"

"Unless you first reject that crazy woman, Ruffnut!"

Hiccup looked at Astrid with a bewildered expression, thinking to himself, "I deliberately took a detour and still couldn't avoid her! Either I didn't remember the route correctly, or my Crossing caused some slight deviation from the original story!"

"Why are you staring at me blankly!? Speak!" Astrid asked, secretly delighted.

However, Hiccup pushed Astrid away and said, "Don't block the way!"

He then walked past Astrid and left, muttering to himself as he went, "In this world where Dragons fly everywhere and there's swords and magic, improving my own strength is the most important thing!"

"Heh! Women, they only slow down my sword draw!"

Astrid watched Hiccup's retreating figure, immediately clenching her fists in anger, and then jumped up and down, shouting, "What about me is worse than that crazy woman Ruffnut!"

"Ah! Hiccup!" This roar seemed to use all her strength, all concentrated in the double-bladed great axe in her hand, directly chopping down a large tree!

"Boom!"

The sound of the falling tree startled Hiccup, and he quickened his pace, thinking, "This tigress!"

After crossing through layers of forest obstacles, Hiccup arrived at the edge of the sinkhole, and then jumped down through the cracks in the rocks.

When Night Fury heard the sound, it immediately perked up its ears, then stared intently in the direction of the rock cracks.

When it saw that the person coming was Hiccup, it immediately pounced over. Although Hiccup dodged Night Fury's pounce with a quick move, he was still swept down by Night Fury's tail!

Then Night Fury pounced over, having succeeded.

"Slurp~! Slurp~!"

After two satisfying licks, Night Fury looked at Hiccup with a triumphant expression!

Hiccup somewhat disdainfully wiped himself with a prepared piece of parchment and said, "It seems my weakness is very obvious! Although I'm strong, my combat skills are really too weak!"

"The enemies I'll face in the future are not just those Viking Pirates on the sea, but also mages from various countries, knights who can use battle aura, as well as mermaids and sirens on the sea, and strange races like giants, elves, dwarves, goblins, and so on from afar!"

Watching Hiccup sitting there in a daze, Night Fury tilted its head, looking at Hiccup with a cute, blank expression.

"Slurp~~~!"

This immediately roused Hiccup.

Then he said in Dragon Language, "Go! Bring that branch over!"

Night Fury flapped its wings, gliding a short distance, then brought back a long, thin stick in its mouth!

Hiccup casually put the sea fish aside, then skewered them onto the stick. Night Fury was already too hungry to wait and started eating them raw, but after seeing Hiccup's actions, it spat out the sea fish it had just eaten!

Hiccup said with great distaste, "Eat it! Eat all of this!"

"Slurp, slurp~~"

Night Fury obediently ate the sea fish it had spat out back again.

After everything was set, Hiccup snapped his fingers at Night Fury. However, Night Fury looked at Hiccup with a blank expression, not knowing what was happening.

Hiccup said with a chuckle in Dragon Language, "Light the fire!"

"Swoosh!"

Night Fury directly spat a fireball, igniting the dry wood below. Then, imitating Hiccup, it sat by the fire and watched.

Hiccup took its Dragon claw, made a hook shape, and then said in Dragon Language, "Keep shaking it like this, constantly. I won't let you stop, you can't stop!"

Night Fury looked at Hiccup's continuous gestures as if he were an idiot. Seeing Night Fury's disdainful eyes, Hiccup knew it must have understood, and the clown was himself again.

After explaining all this, Hiccup took out all the buckles, compared their sizes, and muttered to himself, "Hmm! Not bad! The size is just right!"

But Night Fury felt someone pulling its tail and immediately started shaking.

Hiccup would absolutely not chase this time. Since ancient times, it's always the owner who teases the pet; how could he be played by Night Fury again!?

Immediately, Hiccup said in Dragon Language, "The grilled fish is ready to eat!"

Sure enough, only food could make this glutton calm down!

Taking this opportunity, Hiccup quickly assembled the tail fin parts, preparing to attach them...
