Chapter 6 - God-Tier Magic Talent, a Special Relationship!

"Miss Witch, not only are you being irresponsible, but you're also trying to attack me?"

Cassius held Wanda's slender hand, looking at her in his shirt with a playful smirk. It had to be said, Wanda in a man's shirt had an indescribable, contrasting appeal.

"Have we... met before?"

Wanda's bright eyes were wide open, staring intently at Cassius. For some reason, he gave her a sense of familiarity. And he had a special ability! Had they perhaps met in a HYDRA lab? She constantly searched her mind, but she had no memory of him.

"No."

Cassius shook his head without hesitation, his fingers gently kneading her skin. "My dear Miss Witch, getting cozy with me won't help you escape your responsibilities!"

When Wanda's mind probe hit him, the Phoenix Force had automatically surged to resist her power. The Phoenix Force could resist all mental attacks, and since it and Wanda's Chaos Magic were two of the most ancient energy forms, there was a natural connection and sense of familiarity between them.

"I..."

Wanda looked down, feeling guilty in the face of Cassius's repeated questioning. She knew that if she hadn't used her Chaos Magic, things wouldn't have ended this way. But for her to take responsibility? How could she answer that? She was being unreasonable, but still...

Just as Wanda was trying to figure out what to say, Cassius, his nearly six-foot-three frame tightly holding her wrist, leaned in close, almost on top of her. The overwhelming smell of his cologne made her heart pound. She looked up nervously, "Don't get any ideas..." Thoughts that were not safe for work filled her mind. Hadn't it only been a short time since last night, and he was already getting ideas again?!

"What do you mean, 'get any ideas'? Aren't you supposed to take responsibility?" Cassius grinned, lowering his head to meet her gaze.

"Um..." Wanda nervously avoided his eyes, stammering and unable to speak.

Ding-dong!

The doorbell rang.

"Mr. Cassius, Mr. Tony Stark is here!" a voice shouted from outside.

"Tony's here?!"

Wanda's mind went blank when she heard the name, and the hair on the back of her neck stood up. She couldn't imagine what would happen if Tony Stark found out about this.

Cassius smiled at Wanda's panicked expression. He let go of her hand and ruffled her hair. "Don't worry, he's here for me!"

Long ago, Cassius had received a share of Stark Industries stock as a system reward. He was a small shareholder and had occasional contact with Tony.

"Oh, good..."

Wanda let out a long sigh of relief. She didn't know why Tony Stark was here, but as long as he wasn't here for her, it was fine. But Cassius's next words almost made her cry.

"You look so relieved!" Cassius leaned in, cupping her chin. "You'd better be a good girl, wouldn't want Tony to find out about this, would you?" He got an inexplicable, unexplainable sense of satisfaction from seeing Wanda's flustered expression.

"You..." Wanda's eyes widened, and she bit her lower lip, unable to resist his intense gaze. This guy was too despicable, and his threats were...

Knock, knock, knock!

"Mr. Cassius, Mr. Stark is in the lounge on the first floor."

The maid's voice rang out again.

"I got it!" Cassius replied, then turned his gaze back to Wanda. "My dear Miss Witch, this is your last chance. Otherwise, I'm going to go tattle on you to Tony!"

"Tattle?!" Wanda's breathing quickened, her chest heaving attractively against his shirt. "I should be the one tattling!" She couldn't understand how he could be so self-righteous when he was the one who had taken advantage of her. And now he was using it against her.

"You decide," Cassius said, openly admiring her. Her status as a superhero gave him a rare sense of mental pleasure.

"Fine! I get it!" Wanda huffed, looking around the room before spotting a pen and paper on the bedside table. She crawled over and quickly wrote a phone number down. When she turned around, she saw Cassius's fiery gaze fixed on her rear.

"Pervert!" she muttered under her breath before quickly writing down her number. "This is my number. You can call me if you need anything!"

Cassius took out his phone and, with a look of mistrust, dialed the number.

"You keep digging pushing driving like a hammer hitting in my head space..."

He hung up the phone only after Wanda's phone rang. Wanda was stunned for a second, then angrily asked, "You didn't even trust me!"

"It was my first time, after all. I have to be a little cautious," Cassius said, waving his phone smugly.

"Where are my clothes?" Wanda asked, pouting as she felt the shirt rub against her chest. She wanted to leave this place immediately.

"They've been washed and are in the closet," he said. "Are you really leaving now? Tony's at the door." Cassius smirked, glancing toward the door.

"I can go out the window!" Wanda pointed to the window. She definitely didn't want Tony to see her now. The whole team was already under public scrutiny. It would be very bad for her to be seen here doing this.

"Alright, but make sure to keep your phone on," Cassius said, reminding her once more as he stood there, watching her.

"Turn around!" Wanda glared at him, guessing his intentions.

"This is my house, and I have a good memory!" Cassius said, tapping his temple with his index finger.

"You!" Wanda gritted her teeth. She felt like she had met her nemesis whenever she spoke with Cassius. She waved her right hand, and a curtain of blankets blocked his view as she quickly changed back into her scarlet uniform.

Cassius watched with a grin as Wanda carefully climbed out of the window and scurried away like a thief. "She's acting like a criminal," he said to himself.
