"Naughty girl."
Facing the scarlet wave, Cassius simply raised his hand and waved it, and the crimson light dispersed like smoke.
"What... how is that possible?!"
Wanda's eyes widened in disbelief. Even though she held back at the last moment because of what had happened between them, a normal person shouldn't be able to just casually deflect her powers. Especially with such an effortless gesture.
"Witch, you're being unreasonable. You were the one who seduced me. I'm just an innocent victim. You even roughly took my purity. I haven't even made you take responsibility yet, and here you are trying to attack me!" Cassius complained with a hurt look, covering half of his face.
"Me?!" Wanda laughed in anger. "Me, the instigator? How could that..." she began to argue, but the blurry memories in her mind suddenly became clear.
It was true. She was the one who had pulled Cassius into the car. And everything that followed had been mostly her doing. Instantly, her face flushed crimson, and a burning sensation rose in her heart. If only I hadn't drunk such high-proof malt liquor!
"Even though it was my first time, I wanted to take on the responsibility a man should. But you treated me like this, so you have to take responsibility for me!" Cassius said, putting on a pitiful expression.
He then added a silent correction in his mind: This really was my first time with a superhero. I've never had an experience this stimulating before. The feeling was beyond words. When he thought about it, he couldn't help but lick his lips.
"No one would believe this was your first time!" Wanda rolled her eyes impatiently, enduring the pain and pouting slightly. She refused to believe a first-timer could be so skilled and make her feel so good! While it was her first time, she wasn't an idiot!
Every time she thought about it, her cheeks would blush so hard it looked like blood would drip from them. A feeling of injustice swelled in her heart. After the Crossbones incident, she had already been suffering from public criticism. She had only wanted to numb herself with alcohol, but it had turned into this. The more she thought about it, the more her eyes dimmed.
"So you're saying you're not going to take responsibility for me?" Cassius, acutely aware of her change in mood, continued to press the issue.
"I..." Wanda was feeling down, but his words snapped her out of it. She bit her lip, her expression distressed, her eyes watery and red. She looked both shy and even more alluring.
"Fine!" Cassius joked. "I'll contact Tony Stark right now and tell him what you did to me!"
Wanda's face instantly went white. If she told Tony Stark about this, she would become a laughingstock among all the superheroes!
Just then, Cassius pulled out his phone. Wanda was in a dilemma. She reached out her right hand, and a thread of crimson light flew toward Cassius's temple. The next second, Cassius, who was holding his phone, became completely still.
'I can only... erase his memory,' Wanda thought to herself, her heart heavy with the decision. This was an experience she would never be able to forget. At this point, though, it was the only way to delete his memory. She took a deep breath, throwing all the other thoughts out of her mind. The next moment, she opened her eyes and peered into Cassius's mindscape!
Whoosh!
What she saw was a fiery red phoenix. Its light soared to the heavens, turning the white clouds into a sea of red fire. A terrifying pressure radiated from the phoenix.
"Is this his inner world?!" Wanda was dumbfounded. The phoenix looked incredibly powerful. The aura of destruction it emitted felt like it could swallow everything. But... Wanda felt an inexplicable sense of familiarity, a feeling of security.
More accurately, after delving deep into Cassius's mind, she felt a strong sense of kinship with him, like a long-lost friend. This made her feel a strong desire to be close to him.
Is it related to the Phoenix?
"What are you doing?"
Suddenly, Cassius, who had been frozen, reached out and grabbed her slender, pale hand.
"You..." Wanda's pupils trembled. This was impossible! Her mind control was so powerful that even the Asgardian God of Thunder couldn't resist it. How could a mere human have resisted it?
