Cherreads

Chapter 3 - Chapter 2

As they stepped out of the plane in Paris, Alessia's excitement was tempered by a sense of unease. Two sleek black cars waited for them outside, each driven by a man in a crisp black suit.

Madam Suzy nodded to Alessia. "Follow the driver in that car," she said, gesturing to one of the vehicles. "I'll join you shortly. I need to take care of something first."

Alessia's eyes widened with concern as she hesitated. "Madam Suzy, please let me follow you. I don't know these people," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Madam Suzy's expression was reassuring, but her tone was firm. "Don't worry, my baby. You'll be fine. I won't take long." With that, she turned and walked away, disappearing into the other car.

Alessia's heart skipped a beat as she watched Madam Suzy drive off. She felt a shiver run down her spine as she turned to face the driver, who was waiting for her with an impassive expression.

Alessia's mind was a whirlwind of unease as she settled into the car. The ride seemed to drag on forever, her anxiety growing with each passing minute. She tried to shake off the feeling, telling herself she was just being paranoid, but the knot in her stomach refused to untangle.

Before she knew it, the car came to a stop. Alessia looked out the window, her eyes widening as she took in the grandeur of the hotel in front of her. The sleek, modern design and gleaming glass façade screamed luxury and sophistication.

The driver's voice broke the silence, "We're here, miss." He wound down the glass and added, "Go in, Madam Suzy is waiting for you."

Alessia's heart skipped a beat as she hesitated, her hand on the door handle. Something didn't feel right. Why had Madam Suzy brought her to this hotel? And what did she have planned?

Taking a deep breath, Alessia pushed open the door and stepped out onto the pavement, her eyes scanning the hotel's entrance for any sign of Madam Suzy.

Alessia stepped into the hotel's opulent lobby, her eyes scanning the room until they landed on Madam Suzy, who was engaged in a conversation with a man who appeared to be in his 50s. His distinguished features and impeccable attire exuded an air of wealth and sophistication.

As Alessia approached, Madam Suzy's eyes lit up, and she smiled warmly. "Oh, darling, you're here! Come, this is Mr. Raymond."

Alessia's curiosity was piqued as she extended her hand to Mr. Raymond, who took it in a firm handshake. His eyes, a piercing blue, seemed to bore into hers as if sizing her up.

"Enchanted, Miss..." Mr. Raymond's voice trailed off, awaiting Alessia's response.

Madam Suzy intervened, her voice smooth as silk. "Alessia, darling. Mr. Raymond is our host for tonight's performance."

Alessia's mind whirled with questions, but before she could ask any of them, Mr. Raymond spoke up, his tone low and mysterious.

"Shall we proceed to the penthouse suite, ladies? The evening's festivities await."
