After everything finally calmed down inside Bai Ling's house, Su Qinglan knew it was time to leave.
The cries of newborn cubs had softened into quiet, sleepy sounds, and Bai Ling lay resting. Her fox husband stayed beside her like a guard dog, unwilling to move even a step away. Lin Muyu and her mother were busy, the room warm with relief and happiness.
Su Qinglan stood up slowly, feeling the tiredness catch up to her all at once.
"I'll go back now," she said gently. "I'll prepare some medicine for Bai Ling later. Something to help her recover faster."
The fox husband immediately nodded, his eyes full of gratitude. "Thank you," he said sincerely. "We'll be waiting."
Su Qinglan glanced at Bai Ling one last time. The female was asleep, her face pale but peaceful, three tiny lives now tied to her heartbeat. Su Qinglan smiled faintly, then turned and stepped outside.
