After enduring countless trials and tribulations, Huo Yuhao's second martial soul was finally born.
Zhu Ziyang watched everything unfold, utterly shocked. Though he had always known that there were many ways to awaken a martial soul, Huo Yuhao's method was without question the most absurd he'd ever seen.
Originally, he had thought that Huo Yuhao and Tianmeng Ice Silkworm intended to stimulate Huo Yuhao's dormant bloodline using a hundred-thousand-year soul ring and soul bone, thereby awakening a new martial soul. However, the Ice Empress had revealed something else entirely—their ambition was to turn the Ice Empress herself into Huo Yuhao's martial soul!
That's right. Their target was not just the Ice Jade Scorpion Martial Soul, but the Ice Jade Emperor Scorpion Martial Soul!
Zhu Ziyang couldn't help but sigh—children of destiny truly defied all common sense. A million-year soul beast creating a second martial soul for a human and artificially forging twin martial souls… this was basically dancing on the face of the world's laws! The fact that the laws hadn't crushed them already was generous enough.
He finally understood why this world was so harsh toward soul beasts.
To be fair, Tianmeng Ice Silkworm was truly one of a kind. Evolving into a million-year soul beast just by sleeping? Probably even the world's rules never saw that loophole coming.
Even so, despite Tianmeng's brilliant plan and Huo Yuhao's outrageous luck, they ultimately failed. The Ice Jade Emperor Scorpion did not become Huo Yuhao's second martial soul.
Zhu Ziyang was quite curious—without the Ice Empress, how would Huo Yuhao's second martial soul manifest? Would they try to form an Ice Jade Scorpion martial soul? Or maybe a Ice Silkworm martial soul? Or perhaps something even he couldn't guess. Regardless, the ritual had already begun and couldn't be stopped unless they chose to give up.
Soon, under Zhu Ziyang's gaze, Huo Yuhao stood up and released his second martial soul.
A pair of jade-green butterfly wings spread from his back. The front wings were broad like fans, the hind wings long and trailing like tails—together they resembled a giant ginkgo leaf. From the tips of the front wings to the end of the rear wings, the color transitioned beautifully. The front wings glowed with deep cyan, while the rear wings shimmered emerald green. The entire pair looked like a stunning piece of green jade. The intricate patterns on the wings were remarkably similar to the ones that used to appear on the Ice Empress.
Zhu Ziyang was surprised, yet found it fitting. As a child of destiny, if Huo Yuhao had ended up with something ordinary, that would've been the real disappointment.
Could it be that combining Tianmeng Ice Silkworm, the Ice Jade Scorpion bloodline, and some kind of moth or butterfly bloodline within Huo Yuhao had given birth to this new martial soul? Zhu Ziyang quickly formed a theory. He was tempted to ask directly, but decided against causing unnecessary tension. He'd wait until they were back at the Academy.
An unknown butterfly martial soul—judging by the appearance, it must be a top-tier one. After all, it carried the Ice Jade Scorpion bloodline. He chuckled to himself.
Indeed, every big worm dreams of becoming a butterfly.
With a smile, Zhu Ziyang turned and left.
Huo Yuhao, of course, had no idea his transformation had been observed. Right now, he was still immersed in the exhilarating metamorphosis of his rebirth.
"Brother Tianmeng, is this my second martial soul? It's so beautiful!" Huo Yuhao gazed in fascination at the butterfly wings behind him. For some reason, Wang Dong's smiling face surfaced in his mind. He paused, shook his head, and spoke.
"I didn't expect this either. You actually have a metamorphosis gene in your body. That's an ability our Ice Silkworm Clan dreams of possessing!" Tianmeng's voice was full of envy and excitement. "With the fusion of the Ice Jade Scorpion bloodline and our Ice Silkworm bloodline, this martial soul is truly the Ultimate Ice!"
"Ultimate Ice? What's that?" Huo Yuhao asked in confusion.
"Just as the name implies, Ultimate Ice is the pinnacle of ice elemental power—the king among all ice elements. The Ice Jade Scorpion is powerful precisely because it possesses the attribute of Ultimate Ice!" As Tianmeng spoke, he suddenly grew sorrowful. "But… my Bingbing… sob sob sob!"
"Brother Tianmeng, don't be sad!" Huo Yuhao comforted him. "I promise you, if I ever become a god, the first thing I'll do is revive the Ice Empress!"
To Huo Yuhao and Tianmeng, it seemed that the Ice Empress was gone for good. They could never have imagined she would reappear before them in another form.
"Yes! You will definitely become a god!" Tianmeng gathered himself. "I'll give it my all to help you, Yuhao! We absolutely cannot let the Ice Empress's sacrifice go to waste!"
"Mm!" Huo Yuhao nodded seriously. "Brother Tianmeng, I've decided. I'll name my new martial soul—Ice Emperor Heavenly Moth!"
There was no doubt this name was Huo Yuhao's way of commemorating the Ice Empress. His difficult childhood made him cherish anyone who truly cared for him.
"Ice Emperor Heavenly Moth... Ice Emperor. Yes, that's perfect!" Tianmeng was thrilled. After all, this martial soul was the Ice Empress's legacy. He shouted with excitement, "Yuhao, you must make the Ice Emperor Heavenly Moth famous across the entire continent! That's the only way it can be worthy of the Ice Empress's name!"
"I will!" Huo Yuhao answered with conviction.

When Zhu Ziyang returned to Anyang City, he realized his vacation had only seven days left.
So, after spending two more days at home, he and Jiang Nannan returned to Shrek Academy. Traveling swiftly, they made it back in just three days.
"Brother, when do you plan to go hunt your soul ring?" Jiang Nannan asked, her beautiful face filled with admiration, joy, and a touch of helplessness. "Sigh, I was just starting to think I could finally catch up to you, and then you go off to the Extreme North and come back as a Soul Emperor. That's seriously discouraging!"
"Hahaha, maybe I just got lucky!" Zhu Ziyang scratched his head with a laugh, trying to brush it off. "Besides, don't forget—you still have a hundred-thousand-year immortal herb waiting for you!"
Even so, he was still wondering how to explain the matter of spirit souls to Mu En. After all, this was a sensitive topic. Mu En was a rank 99 Ultimate Douluo and also his teacher—there was no way to keep it a secret from him. Instead of letting Mu En find out later and suspect his intentions, it would be better to come clean now. After all, Zhu Ziyang had done nothing wrong.
But the biggest problem was… how to explain the origin of the spirit soul method?
He couldn't just say, "Oh, I have a teacher from another world who's stronger than you!"
The entire way back to the Academy, Zhu Ziyang was mulling over this issue. Finally, just as he stepped onto Sea God Island, he came up with a plausible explanation: the method came from the fourth level of the Extreme North—the true core of that land. The Snow and Ice Empresses had referred to it as the Divine Graveyard.
He planned to tell Mu En that this spirit soul method originated in the Divine Graveyard and was something the Snow Empress had obtained through a divine contract. It was a perfect excuse—Mu En would never go personally investigate something so seemingly important yet ultimately distant. And even if he wanted to, he couldn't enter the Extreme North's deepest core.
Zhu Ziyang had put great effort into fabricating that story—all to protect Electrolux's identity.
In the end, that story was rejected… by Electrolux himself.
"Ziyang, you don't need to bother with all that. Just tell this Mu En about my existence." Electrolux said calmly, wearing his ever-composed smile.
"This…" Zhu Ziyang was stunned. "Are you sure, Teacher?"
"What, are you worried I can't beat this Mu En? Or afraid I'll scare what's left of his lifespan right out of him?" Electrolux teased.
"Of course not!" Zhu Ziyang shook his head instinctively.
"Then what are you afraid of?" Electrolux said bluntly.
"Yeah… what am I afraid of?" Hearing those words, Zhu Ziyang suddenly felt enlightened. He hadn't stolen, killed, or done anything wrong. What was there to fear?
Besides, Mu En was his teacher. He wouldn't make things hard for him. Yan Shaozhe had done so many foolish things, and even then, Mu En only ordered him to retreat and reflect. For Zhu Ziyang, a top genius, Mu En wouldn't possibly start doubting him just because of a remnant soul from another world.
Perhaps recently, he'd become entangled in too many secrets beyond the level of gods. It had made his heart timid.
That was human nature after all—when faced with the unknown, we feel reverence.
