Chapter 38 - FAMILY TRAINING HALL

*Scene: Constantine Family Training Hall — Afternoon*

The clang of swords and the sharp sound of fists hitting dummies echoed through the grand hall as several Constantine family members sparred under the strict eyes of veteran instructors.

*Mia*, once the pride of the hall, moved stiffly and out of sync. Her footwork was clumsy, her strikes half-hearted. Whispers began.

*Cousin #1 (mocking):*

"Looks like heartbreak hits harder than any blade."

*Cousin #2 (concerned):*

"She's not herself. Maybe she shouldn't be here…"

Still in the ring, *Mia* hesitated—her eyes distant. Her opponent took the opening, lunged, and landed a heavy strike to her ribs, knocking her flat.

*The hall fell silent.*

But then—*Mia snapped.*

She launched up, face twisted in rage, and tackled her sparring partner to the ground, raining uncontrolled blows until two cousins and a guard rushed in to drag her off.

*Instructor (yelling):*

"MIA! THAT'S ENOUGH!"

*She broke free and stormed out, fists clenched, eyes burning.*

*Scene: Mia's Room — Moments Later*

She threw open the door, seething… only to find *Lyon* lying sideways across her bed, staring at the ceiling like he'd just seen death.

*Mia (snapping):*

"What are you doing in my bed!?"

*Lyon (without moving):*"Trying to figure out if I've gone mad… or if I just uncovered something way above my paygrade."

*Mia (cold):*

"Not in the mood for riddles, Lyon."

*Lyon (finally sitting up, dead serious):*

"Mia… you need to know something. That lady Modeus is walking around with… something's not right."

*Mia (pauses, breathing uneven):*

"What do you mean?"

*Lyon (grimly):*

"I followed them. Watched closely. She's… off. And I mean *dangerously* off. Nothing adds up."

*The scene ends with Mia frozen in place, her expression unreadable…*

*Fade to black.*

*Scene: Abaddon Ha'Sheol – Aisha's Quarters – Twilight*

Aisha paced her lavish chamber, her brow furrowed in deep thought. Her wings twitched with tension as she muttered to herself.

*Aisha (grumbling):*

"I *have* to go. He's hiding something… and no one's telling me anything. If I wait any longer, he'll vanish again."

She peeked through the curtains. *Varron*, ever watchful, stood a few levels below in the palace courtyard, eyes like hawk blades.

She groaned, frustrated.

*Aisha (whispering):*

"Stupid Varron... like I'm gonna write him a letter."

Suddenly, a smirk creeped across her face.

*Aisha (mischievous):*

"Well, if I can't go through the gate... I'll blow the damn doors open."

*Scene: Hidden alley in the lower realm – Moments later*

Aisha, now cloaked and hooded, meets a ragged bunch of low-level demons.

*Aisha:*

"Start a distraction. A loud one. Hit the castle gates. I'll double your pay if you survive. Which you won't. Bye!"

She tossed a pouch of soul coins. They scrambled off like goblins on fire.

*Scene: Royal Courtyard – Seconds later*

*ALARM BELLS ring loudly 🔔*. Explosions echo. Varron's eyes shoot up.

*Varron (shouting):*

"TO ARMS! SECURE THE COURTYARD!"Guards sprint past. Fireballs fly. Demonic shrieks echo. The thugs are already halfway being flattened by the first wave of castle sentries ⚔️💥.

*Scene: Aisha's Tower – Simultaneously*

Aisha throws on a long black cloak laced with invisibility runes and bolts silently through the secret hall behind her chamber.

She huffs as she runs through the ancient hallways, magic swirling faintly behind her heels 💨.

*Scene: Realm Borders*

Just as the alert hits the border guards, Aisha slips past the final gate.

*A guard (seconds too late):*

"SEAL THE—!!"

*POOF.* She vanishes. Gone.

*Scene: Royal Hall – Varron's Shock 😱*

Varron storms into Aisha's empty chambers. Her window flutters.

He stands there in eerie silence.

*Varron (whispers):*

"No... no no no..."

He punches the stone wall, cracking it.

*Varron (furious):*

"If she exposes him… this could unravel everything."

*Scene: War Room – Moments later*

He tries sending another direct transmission to *Modeus El Kovar* 📡.

Still no response.

Varron exhales sharply, gripping the edge of the obsidian table.

*Varron (low):*

"Please tell me she doesn't find him first..."

*Fade out.*

*Scene: Mia's Room – Late Afternoon*

The room is dimly lit, rays of sunlight slicing through the heavy velvet curtains. Mia sits on the edge of her bed, still visibly irritated but calmer. Lyon lounges backward in her armchair, tossing grapes into his mouth like a noble on vacation 🍇.

*Lyon (with flair):*

"So there I was… following tall, dark, and demon-eyes through winding alleys like a shadow. The wind in my hair, my blade ready—then *bam!* he vanished! And poof—next thing I know, he's behind me like a ghost!"

*Mia (deadpan):*

"You screamed, didn't you?"

*Lyon (defensively):*

"No! I *strategically gasped*! There's a difference 😤."

Mia raises a brow, clearly calling his bluff. Lyon deflates, rolling his eyes.

*Lyon:*

"Alright fine… I *might've* whimpered a little. Happy?"

*Mia (smirking):*

"Ecstatic."

*Lyon (grinning again):*

"But here's the kicker. That mystery lady with him? I've seen her *before*. Back when I was tailing you two for Mom—yeah, yeah, surveillance duty blah blah—I'd spot her around. Always lurking. Waiting. Watching 👀."

Mia's mood changes instantly—eyes widening just a bit, the puzzle pieces clicking.

*Mia (muttering):*

"Then it's true… she might be Calavera's piece."

She stands and kisses Lyon's forehead softly 😘.

*Lyon (recoiling dramatically):*

"Ugh! Save that mush for your sinister demon boyfriend!"

*Mia (already changing outfits):*

"You're lucky I didn't kiss your mouth. That's reserved for real heroes."

*Lyon (groaning):*

"Great. I'll burn my forehead later."

As Mia tightens her corset and slips on her boots 🥾, Lyon eyes her with mock suspicion.

*Lyon:*

"Shouldn't *big bro Cassius* be handling all this anyway? Pretty sure Father assigned him."

*Mia (shooting a look):*

"Do I look like I care?"

*Lyon (sighs):*

"You know if Father finds out you're defying his orders again, your punishment's gonna make last time look like a picnic."

*Mia (grinning):*

"Don't worry. As long as I've got you—my adorable partner-in-crime—I'll be fine 😌."

*Lyon (nervous laugh):*

"Wait—*since when* am I part of this rebellion??"

*Mia (winking):*

"Since birth. Sucks to be my cousin."

She tosses him a dagger and grabs her cloak. Lyon groans but stands up anyway.

*Lyon:*

"Just once… can't we rebel *after* breakfast?" 🍞

*Fade out.*

*Scene: Earth – Dense Forest, Late Morning*

Birds chirp. Trees sway. A faint magical ripple echoes through the woods as *Aisha* materializes—gracefully landing on her feet... and immediately tripping over a root.

*Aisha (grumbling):*

"Ugh... Earth is rude."

She brushes herself off, looking around like a confused tourist. Her royal robes now covered in leaves and twigs. A squirrel watches her judgmentally 🐿️.

Cut to:

*Scene: Constantine Estate – War Room*

Magical detectors spark, sputter, and *explode* for the third time this week.

*Johan (furious):*

"Oh, COME ON!!!" 😤

"First the demon prince, now another one?! Is Earth some new vacation resort for hell nobility?!"

Technicians scramble as the detection console goes up in magical smoke again. Johan paces like a lion.

*Johan:*

"We don't even have the first one contained! Now what—another wildcard? A cousin? An aunt?!"

Cut to:

*Scene: Calavera Headquarters – Enchanted Surveillance Hall*

Sirens blare, magical scrolls unravel mid-air, and wards flicker violently.

*Calavera Matron (panicking):*

"That's not Modeus… it's another signature! Fainter… but still powerful. And unfamiliar!"

*High Mage:*

"Maybe one of the sisters? Or... worse—his *favorite* sibling?"

The room goes dead silent. Everyone gulps.

Cut to:*Back to Aisha – Still Wandering*

*Aisha (talking to herself):*

"Alright... woods. Check. No people. Check. No throne. No basilisk. No Varrrron telling me what to do… I could get used to this." 😌

A twig snaps.

She turns sharply, ready to fight, only to be stared down by a very confused deer 🦌.

*Aisha:*

"Oh. You're lucky you're cute."

She sighs, dramatically throwing herself against a tree.

*Aisha:*

"Okay, Aisha. Step one: Blend in. Step two: Find brother. Step three: Drag him home by his pointy ear if necessary."

She pulls a glittering compact mirror from her robe, peers at herself, and smirks.

*Aisha:*

"Still regal. Still flawless. Let's find a city, shall we?"

She sets off with absolutely zero idea where she's going… and a trail of magical residue lighting up across every tracking system within 100 miles.

*Cut.*

*[Scene: Modeus' Inn – Night]*

The room is dimly lit by a magical orb. Artifacts, exotic masks, and maps from the human world decorate the walls. Modeus lies calmly in bed—until his crimson eyes snap open. His expression darkens.

He sits up slowly, muttering low in *Ozmirax*, a deep, ancient tongue only nobles like him can wield:

*Modeus (growling):*

*"Xath'zul aen ravaeth… Aisha."*

(*She dares to cross the veil… Aisha.*)

He waves his hand, projecting a glowing red sigil in the air and connects with *Varron*.

*Modeus (furious):*

"You had *one* job, Varron! She was under your watch—how did she even get past the border seal?!"

*Varron (nervously):*

"My Lord, I was—there was a distraction—"

*Modeus (cutting him off):*

"Excuses! You have *three days* to bring her back. If not… I'll paint the walls of the Citadel with your incompetence."

*Varron (stammering):*

"Yes, yes, I swear—I'll retrieve her. I'll scour the Earth myself!"

*Modeus (coldly):*

"You better."

*He severs the transmission.* The sigil fizzles as dark energy leaks from his body—shadowy tendrils crawl along the walls before he clenches his fist, suppressing it instantly.

*Modeus (under his breath):*

"No... she mustn't feel it…"

---

*[Scene: Earth – Deep Forest]*Aisha walks through dense trees, barefoot and curious. Suddenly, she freezes. Her playful demeanor shifts as she senses a familiar, dangerous aura ripple briefly.

She looks up, eyes narrowed.

*Aisha (to herself):*

"That... was bubu's aura. But... he's angry?"

Her playful smile returns—but with a mischievous edge.

*Aisha:*

"Don't tell me he came to conquer Earth and didn't invite me? How rude!"

She tries to summon a transmission sigil—nothing. Her face drops slightly.

*Aisha:*

"Huh? Did he block me…?"

She frowns for a second.

*Aisha (shrugs):*

"Eh. He's probably just busy destroying something. I'll just find him the old-fashioned way!"

She turns confidently—

*then immediately bumps into a tree.*

*Aisha:*

"…Maybe this world *is* out to get me."

She groans and keeps wandering, completely lost.
