Chapter 1 - The being who was not

The Being Who Was Not

There was nothing.

No light, no sound, no time... just an unforgiving void.

And at the heart of that void, the pulse of a being who had never been born, a being who had no name...

They whispered of him later with a broken name:

"He Who Was Not."

He was never seen, for the form did not befit something older than creation.

The madmen who saw him in dreams say his eyes were two slits of white above a split core...

and that his silence was heavier than death.

But perfection does not last...

A day came of which no one knew a beginning.

And on it, the Being trembled.

He cracked.

The void heard the sound of glass breaking.

And the shards—of glass, fire, ash, and shattered light—

fell to scatter and embed themselves in the body of nothingness.

From each shard... a world was born.

I found in it several dimensions, races, times, and worlds in one place, as if it were a new creation.

All of them expressed a new resurrection. From those fragments emerged the Being Who Was Not.

Thus, before it cracked into fragments, remnants appeared, the last thing the Being left behind. They looked like an atom, unleashing a hidden wave that pervaded existence, as if it were the desire for order that had never existed in worlds. It was the One Who organized them. After the chaotic creation of those fragments,

A name was given to this hidden atom that organized life.

From a second text from the Tablets of Nothingness:

"The source of our existence and the last thing left by the Being Who Was Not will be named the Spiritual Rain."

Forgotten Myths of the Forbidden Order:

The ninth text from the Tablets of Nothingness says:

After existence was completed, three breaths or signs emerged from that atom of being:

A heart from the stone of eternity, an eye from the crystal of truth, and a gift from the breath of the Being Who Was Not.

Whoever combines the three does not become human...and is no longer anything. That is almost impossible.

The Order of the Existent: The Legacy of Divine Shards

1. The Heart of Eternal Stone -

It is said that this heart was not carved, but rather solidified from the blood of the being itself as its soul began to separate.

Each stone fragment carries a cold pulse...

A fragment of a god's memory.

Craftsmen use them to craft "Cauldrons":

Mutilated vessels, sold in shadow markets, buried in the ruins of dead cities, or waiting for their benefactor in caves pulsating with the creaking of the dead.

Cauldrons are not tools, but rigid rituals... granting unique abilities in exchange for varying required quantities of plant, animal, soil, or stone fragments.

Each concoction grants a temporary ability. For humans, mortals are present, but fate does not forgive those who make mistakes with the ingredients.

---

2. The Crystal Focus - The Eye of Catastrophe

An eye ripped from the eyelid of the void itself.

Unseen, but felt...

Mutilated crystals are made from it. They are placed in weapons or take the form of rings, masks, or spell poles.

When injected with the user's blood fluid...

they awaken the "seal"—a malevolent, daemonic power that enables its bearer to temporarily disrupt the laws of reality.

> But they whisper... and demand a price.

Sometimes, a part of your soul. Sometimes... something worse.

---

3. The Divine Gift—Blessed Breaths

It's not something you earn...

but something you're born with.

The Divine Gift is only given to those whose soul carries an original thread of "the kernel of the One Who Was Not."

It often appears in select clans or families tainted by pureblood.

> "Those with the Gift do not choose, they are chosen...

and they do not live long if they try to deny it." – From the Commandments of the Broken Dawn Clan.

The Divine Gift grants godlike abilities:

Moving elements, opening portals between worlds, reading spirits, speaking In the language of stones...

But it slowly burns its bearer.

Forgotten Words from Beyond the Black Wall:

> "All power in this world is but a reflection of the voice of the One Who Was Not.

And whoever attempts to possess it... hears the call... and begins to separate from themselves."
