As he closed in, seeing that Shiranami Hakusei didn't move, Jabra's eyes lit up.
"Heh, looks like I bet right! This guy probably hasn't reacted yet!"
Excited, he picked up the pace, determined to take Hakusei down before he knew what hit him,
Wait, what the heck does 'stealing a bell' have to do with anything? Never mind! The point was to take him down fast!
But just as he was getting smug, everything before him suddenly blurred.
Where was Hakusei?!
Huh?
What the hell? Where did that kid go?
Before he could figure it out, an overwhelming, terrifying pressure engulfed him.
His hair stood on end, heart pounding, blood boiling, it was like his brain wanted him to know that, for this one second, he was still alive.
"Strongest Spear: One-Finger Pierce!"
"Iron Body! Guh…"
The moment he reacted, a chilling, bone-deep numbness pierced through his back.
Writhing in pain, he turned his head with difficulty, only to see Shiranami Hakusei standing behind him, one pitch-black finger already thrust through his back!
Jabra's disbelieving eyes met Hakusei's calm, emotionless smile.
"Lightning, come." Hakusei said softly.
Jabra's pupils shrank. His heart suddenly felt like it was being gnawed by a thousand ants.
His body convulsed uncontrollably. He was being cooked alive, he could even smell his own flesh roasting.
He froze in terror. This boy, who looked harmless on the surface, was a true demon in disguise!
His strength was downright mythological, an abomination that shouldn't exist in the real world!
Using the last ounce of strength in his body, Jabra pleaded in agony:
"D-Don't kill me! I'm actually Robin's older brother! I just wanted to save her! Back then, at the beach, I, "
Squelch!
Before he could finish, Hakusei crushed his heart with a twitch of his finger.
"Tell it to the King of Hell when you get there." Hakusei muttered, pulling his finger out in disgust.
"Lying bastard. Like I'd believe that load of crap."
Thus…
In the battle at Enies Lobby, CP9 fighter Jabra, defeated.
Without wasting a second, Hakusei stepped onto the sea, walking toward the Gate of Justice, just as planned.
"Robin! Robin! Where are you?! We're here to save you!"
Meanwhile, the Straw Hats had just defeated Kumadori and Fukurou and were now storming the building in search of Robin.
They searched every inch of the place, but Robin, who had already been taken away, was nowhere to be found.
What they did find were devastated battlefields and CP9 members lying unconscious, or worse.
"What the hell…?"
Just fifteen minutes ago, the CP9 were still strong and formidable.
And now? All of them were wiped out?
This was insane.
They knew how tricky CP9 was. Even if they couldn't win in a straight-up fight, those guys knew Rokushiki inside and out, Shave and Moonwalk made them fast enough to escape anything.
They had just spent all their strength catching Fukurou and Blueno, and even that had been a struggle.
Now you're telling them four CP9 members got taken out in a single sweep?
They didn't even get a chance to be audience members!
Looking at Redfield and Waldo, the Straw Hats gulped.
Other than Luffy, who looked annoyed he didn't get to fight, the others instinctively backed off, distancing themselves from these monsters in human skin.
Redfield's group, however, wasn't there to mess with the Straw Hats.
They'd already seen their captain heading straight for the Gate of Justice across the sea.
And they definitely couldn't cross the ocean like that.
Just then, Crocodile, having taken care of the judges, arrived, followed by the Straw Hats.
Upon learning there was a hidden tunnel beneath the sea leading to the other side, the Straw Hats had no choice but to let Redfield's group tag along as they all rushed to the next battlefield.
Not that they had much choice.
Unaware of the Straw Hats' shock or his own allies' confusion, Shiranami Hakusei was now sitting comfortably at the exit by the Gate of Justice, waiting for Spandam to arrive.
And sure enough, it didn't take long before the sounds of footsteps reached his ears.
"Hahaha! Robin, are you still hoping your so-called friends can rescue you? Keep dreaming!"
Following the arrogant voice, Hakusei looked up, and sure enough, Spandam's punchable face entered his view.
Wrinkling his nose in disdain, Hakusei felt an urge to punch him already.
Stepping out of the dark tunnel into the light, Spandam and the others squinted, shielding their eyes from the sun.
Until,
"Y-Y-Y-Y-Y-Y, YOU?!"
Spandam was so shocked he couldn't even speak properly.
He thought he was hallucinating.
Meanwhile, Lucci's face turned grim.
If Hakusei was here, it meant CP9 had probably already been taken out.
And Lucci knew how strong Hakusei was.
There was still a short way to go, but this final guardian was no easy hurdle.
"Sir, request backup from HQ immediately!"
Hearing the urgency in Lucci's voice, Spandam panicked and grabbed the Den Den Mushi to call for help.
But then,
"Wait!"
"No way!"
"Sir!!"
Huh?
Spandam looked confused. What were they freaking out about? The call hadn't even gone through yet,
Then he looked down and saw…
"F*CK!! I grabbed the golden snail! I accidentally activated the Buster Call!!"
His face went pale.
That meant the Navy would now bombard all of Enies Lobby, obliterating it completely.
He had just doomed the entire island.
"…Well, whatever! If it means wiping out all you pirates, the HQ will still reward me!" Spandam declared proudly.
"What a scumbag." Hakusei said, shaking his head in contempt.
Spandam didn't care.
"You don't understand anything! Lucci, deal with this brat. Don't let him ruin my promotion!"
Lucci looked like he'd just swallowed glass.
He couldn't believe how stupid his commanding officer was.
