Compared to Redfield's side, the fight between Waldo and Kalifa was far more entertaining.
Originally, both pairs had been battling inside the same room, but Waldo's combat style was far more reckless, he literally blew up the floor beneath them!
And so, the two of them crashed down into the room below.
Waldo now stood awkwardly, staring at Kalifa in front of him... soaking in a bathtub.
The room they'd fallen into was a bathroom, and the moment they landed, Kalifa told him to wait, saying she wanted to take a bath.
Waldo was completely dumbfounded.
What the hell was this situation?
Before he could recover, Kalifa, completely ignoring his confusion, began stripping off her clothes and gracefully stepped into the tub, sinking into the water with a relaxed sigh.
Waldo's lips twitched.
He was a brute, a battle maniac, not someone who handled seductive scenes well.
This? This totally threw him off.
But then, something strange started happening.
The bubbles in the tub were multiplying rapidly, growing thicker and denser, slowly creeping toward him.
Waldo frowned in confusion.
And then, those bubbles moved.
They weren't just foam anymore.
They lunged at him.
"Relaxing Bubble!" Kalifa shouted sharply.
The technique had been activated!
Waldo finally snapped out of it. The bubble attack was nearly at point-blank range!
"Twentyfold Acceleration!"
Whoosh!
In a blur, Waldo distanced himself several meters in an instant.
Kalifa frowned.
She hadn't expected such a swift reaction. That speed was a real problem.
She had planned everything: seduce him, then catch him off guard.
But even with a flawless plan, he still dodged it all.
"This strength gap… is it really that wide?" she thought, her confidence beginning to falter.
Still, her mission wasn't to win. She only had to stall Waldo.
With her mastery of Rokushiki and Devil Fruit powers, stalling should be manageable… right?
At least, that's what she told herself, but the truth was, her confidence was slipping.
Waldo, now aware of the trickery, was furious.
"You filthy woman! Tried to ambush me? You're dead!"
He lunged forward with terrifying speed.
"Soap Sheep!"
Kalifa's eyes went wide. She panicked and quickly summoned a massive sheep-shaped bubble shield to block.
Boom!
Waldo's punch landed directly on the foam beast.
But it felt like punching a marshmallow.
Most of his power was absorbed. His arm sank into the soft soap structure, unable to cause any real harm.
"Huh?"
Waldo frowned. "Now that's an interesting ability."
Before Kalifa could retaliate, Waldo suddenly withdrew, vanishing into a blur and widening the gap again.
The two stared each other down, both uncertain how to proceed.
Kalifa's confidence returned instantly.
She sneered. "So this is the so-called 500-million bounty pirate? That's all?"
Waldo's expression turned pitch black. He looked like he was choking on resentment but had no retort.
Kalifa grinned triumphantly, opening her mouth to taunt him further,
But Waldo suddenly changed.
He began to laugh.
"Huh?" Kalifa blinked.
"…Did I break his brain?"
After his laughter died down, Waldo turned toward the wall behind him and began furiously punching it.
Kalifa stood stunned.
"…Is he venting?"
Then Waldo turned back toward her… and smiled.
A slow, chilling smile.
Kalifa's body stiffened.
Why… did she feel such a strong sense of dread?
"You made your biggest mistake," Waldo said, still seated on the ground and lazily tossing a chunk of broken brick in his hand.
"…by thinking you had any control."
"Tch. Empty posturing doesn't scare me."
Waldo ignored her.
"From the sound of it, Redfield's side is about wrapped up. So I guess it's time to end things here too."
"What?" Kalifa frowned, not hearing him clearly.
"I said…"
Waldo's eyes glinted.
"This is over."
Before Kalifa could even process his words,
Whoosh!
A sharp wind pierced the air!
She heard the sound, but saw nothing.
"Ah!"
She barely moved her head to the side in time.
Even so, a stinging sensation bloomed across her cheek.
She touched her face. Looked at her hand.
Blood.
A thin cut. It was real. Something had hit her.
But she hadn't seen anything.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Multiple sharp sounds split the air before she could even react.
Thump! Thump! Thump!
In a blink, her massive Soap Sheep was torn to shreds, riddled with holes.
Kalifa gave a pained gasp as one of the projectiles slammed into her chest, hurling her back across the room.
She slammed into the ground, gasping for breath.
She never imagined that Waldo would use projectile attacks.
And not just any stone, those gray pebbles were now pitch-black, wrapped in Armament Haki, as hard as iron.
They sliced through her defenses and hit her real body.
Caught completely off guard, Kalifa didn't even have a chance to escape using Rokushiki.
She became a sitting duck, absorbing Waldo's full burst assault.
And now… she lay on the ground, barely breathing.
Waldo slowly walked to the door.
He opened it, then turned to glance one last time at Kalifa's broken, disheveled form, lying in the soap-slick ruins.
He grinned.
"Thanks for the hospitality."
Bang!
The door slammed shut.
Kalifa lay there, overwhelmed with bitterness, anger, and humiliation.
Tears welled in her eyes, but she refused to let them fall.
And with that…
In the Battle of Enies Lobby, CP9's only female agent, Kalifa, was defeated!
Meanwhile, outside, Shiranami Hakusei kicked Jabra clean out the door.
He strolled out hands-in-pockets, calm and relaxed.
Thanks to his spoiler-like knowledge, he knew exactly where Spandam was heading.
There was no way that slimeball could escape his grasp.
Instead of taking the undersea tunnel toward the Gate of Justice like the others, Hakusei planned to simply walk across the ocean and intercept him at the bridge exit.
Because he knew,
Spandam and Lucci's reaction to seeing him suddenly appear in front of them… would be priceless.
Coincidentally, the moment he stepped out of the building, he ran into the very same Jabra he had kicked earlier.
Apparently, that kick had launched Jabra through the entire building and out onto a cliff outside.
The guy had just struggled to his feet when he saw Hakusei appear again.
His expression looked like he'd swallowed manure.
He thought Hakusei had come to finish him off.
Despite his terror, Jabra knew he had only one chance, to strike first with everything he had.
He was keenly aware of Hakusei's strength. He had no illusions.
Unless he went all out from the start, he had no hope.
Maybe, maybe, if he unleashed a "blind flurry" from the opening move, he might land something.
Otherwise, if Hakusei made the first move… it was over.
Hakusei, on the other hand, simply stepped out, and saw a giant werewolf barreling at him with full killing intent.
It was almost admirable, how hard the guy was trying.
He shook his head, chuckling.
"You could've just played dead, you know… sigh."
