Chapter 888 - Chapter 888

Saitama looked at the few "weird cosplay enthusiasts" baring their fangs and claws as they charged at him (that's what he thought they were), then glanced at the pitch-black tomb entrance that was spewing noise and a stench of blood. His brow furrowed.

"Sounds pretty lively in there?" he muttered. Instead of backing away, he walked straight toward the entrance—moving against the panicked flow of people running for their lives.

Blade had just finished cutting down a werewolf. Seeing more monsters rushing civilians, he grew anxious—but he couldn't support them immediately. Then he spotted that bald tourist: not only was he not running, he was heading straight for the tomb.

That was suicide!

"Hey! Get back! It's dangerous!" Blade shouted.

But he was too far away, with countless monsters in between.

Saitama didn't seem to hear him. He walked right up to the tomb entrance. It was a moss-covered stone archway slanting downward, chiseled from old blocks. Inside was a suffocating darkness, and teeth-grinding screeches and crawling sounds echoed out. The dense, ominous aura was so thick it felt almost tangible.

Saitama stood at the entrance, looked inside, then glanced back at the chaos outside. He took a deep breath, his chest swelling slightly.

Then he blew a single breath straight into the tomb.

This wasn't an ordinary breath. The instant it left his mouth, the surrounding air was violently dragged in, forming a visible, condensed white air-column like a pressurized jet. The air-column shot deep into the tomb like a high-pressure cannon!

No—this wasn't just blowing air.

As the jet blasted forward, a powerful, directional suction formed in front of the entrance!

Outside, the few vampires and werewolves that were lunging at the tourists were hit first. They realized in horror that their bodies were no longer under their control—yanked backward as if seized by an invisible hand. Screaming, they were sucked straight into the tomb!

And it didn't stop there.

The air-column surged through the complex tunnels, creating a terrifying vacuum effect wherever it passed. Inside the lair—whether lowly ghouls, vampire elders, or werewolf chieftains—every dark creature was dragged out from hiding like leaves swept up in an autumn gale.

None of them could resist.

They were forced to fly backward, helplessly pulled toward the deepest part of the lair—the endpoint of that air-column.

Blade stared, dumbfounded.

The monster tide he'd been fighting with everything he had… was "retreating" at an even faster speed—except it wasn't retreating by choice.

It was being forcibly sucked back in.

He even saw some powerful vampires, faces twisted with terror, trying to cling to the walls—only for the walls to be ripped apart along with them and dragged into the torrent!

The air-column lasted about five seconds.

When Saitama stopped blowing, an eerie silence fell over the tomb entrance.

The monsters were gone.

Even the screeching and crawling sounds from inside… vanished completely.

Then

From inside the tomb came a dull rumbling that grew closer, like a chain-collapse triggered after the interior structure endured unbearable pressure.

"…Rumble… rumble… (Not good…)"

The stone archway at the entrance couldn't withstand the pressure shift and vibrations. Cracks spread across it, and with a loud crash—"KRAASH!"—it collapsed entirely. Countless stones tumbled down, sealing the entrance completely and permanently blocking off the lair's exit.

Saitama dusted off his hands, like he'd just finished some trivial little chore.

He turned around and realized that the tourists who'd been running, and the man in black leather holding a sword…

Were all staring at him like he was the real monster.
