Saitama looked at his fist there wasn't even a speck of ash on it. He turned around, searching for a way back up.
"Hmm… which manhole gets me closer to the supermarket?"
The city's calm was ripped apart by a sharp explosion. High in the sky, a strange-looking black small spacecraft—clearly not Earth technology—trailed thick smoke and flames as it fell like a meteor, slamming diagonally into a neighborhood park in Brooklyn and triggering a wave of local panic.
The wreckage was still burning, but several black, sticky, liquid-like lifeforms had already silently slid out of the ruptured hull. They flowed fast, hunting for the nearest warm living bodies. A few curious onlookers became targets—black fluid instantly covered them from head to toe.
Their terrified screams turned into low, hoarse roars. The possessed hosts' bodies twisted and swelled, muscles bulging, teeth sharpening, transforming into violent black monsters.
They possessed monstrous strength—flipping cars with ease, smashing store windows, and spreading chaos through the streets.
"No! Stop! You can't do this!" Eddie sprinted forward, Venom covering his body as he tried to communicate with these newly arrived, aggressively hostile kin. "We can coexist! Don't hurt these people!"
But his plea did nothing.
These newborn symbiotes seemed to possess only the most primitive urge to plunder and destroy. And when they spotted Venom, they reacted as if they'd found a traitor—letting out a shrill hiss and swarming in to attack Eddie.
Venom fought back with everything he had, but two fists couldn't beat many. Before long, several symbiotes had slammed him to the ground, black tendrils tearing at him wildly.
"Hey! Need a hand?" A red-and-blue figure swung in agilely from above—Spider-Man, arriving just in time. He fired tough webbing, trying to bind one of the symbiotes attacking Venom and yank it away.
But shockingly, the symbiote's surface secreted a special acidic slime. Peter's enhanced webbing—strong enough to lift a car—began to corrode and snap the instant it touched that goo.
"Woah—okay, that's really bad!" Peter yelped, quickly retreating to dodge another symbiote whipping a black, blade-like tendril at him.
The situation descended into full chaos.
More and more symbiotes gathered, and some even began fusing—growing larger, trending toward something far more horrifying.
Right then, Saitama happened to walk out from a nearby street corner. He'd just gone to the bank to pay his water and electricity bill and was heading home. He saw the street in ruins—car alarms shrieking nonstop—while a black giant nearly four meters tall, formed from three symbiotes fused together, roared as it lifted an SUV and prepared to smash it down on the trapped Venom and Spider-Man.
"Huh? A new monster? Kinda… black," Saitama blinked, then walked straight toward the black giant.
The symbiote giant noticed the bald guy approaching. It sensed almost no threat at all, so it casually hurled the SUV at Saitama, trying to crush this tiny nuisance.
The car came screaming through the air.
Saitama just sped up his steps a little and shifted aside, letting it pass. With a thunderous crash, the SUV smashed apart the storefront behind him.
