A muffled boom—like a giant hammer slamming into a solid steel ingot—shook the entire hall until it buzzed and hummed. A ring-shaped shockwave exploded outward, fiercer than any collision before!
"ROOOOAAAR——!!!"
The monster let out an unprecedented, shriek-like wail—so piercing it was almost unbearable—filled with pain, shock, and disbelief! The terrifying kinetic force packed into that punch lifted its massive body off the ground, blasting it backward as it slammed hard into the stone wall at the rear of the hall!
Rumble!
A huge crater dented the wall, and spiderweb cracks spread wildly! The monster slid down to the floor, rolling in agony. The enormous scale on its chest that had taken the hit was now covered in radiating fractures! Dark green, thick, oil-like blood seeped out from the cracks in steady streams. The scale hadn't completely shattered, but its defense had clearly been broken!
That was its weak point!
"We did it!" Hawkeye and the agents were fired up! The absolute defense that had plagued them for so long—Saitama had finally found a flaw!
"Right there! The chest!" Saitama landed steadily, pointing at the monster's still-bleeding chest and shouting into the communicator, "Its weak point! Every time it launches a heavy attack—like spitting, or charging up a slam—that scale loosens for a moment! Grab that opening!"
The monster struggled back to its feet. The pain in its chest drove it completely insane. It no longer bothered with the agents' harassment—its crimson eyes locked onto Saitama, blazing with rage that wanted to erase everything. It knew this bald man was the biggest threat!
"ROAR—!!!" Ignoring the injury in its chest, the monster dropped to all fours and launched its fiercest charge at Saitama—like a runaway locomotive, carrying a suicidal, all-or-nothing momentum! Wherever it passed, the ground was plowed into deep grooves!
"Group A! Now!" Hawkeye had been waiting for this moment!
The agents who had been ready yanked the triggers!
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Several strands of high-strength nano-alloy cables shot out instantly—like lurking venomous snakes—from the ground and from behind shattered stone pillars! Each cable's tip had powerful magnetic suction devices and barbed hooks, and they precisely wrapped around the monster's limb joints mid-charge!
Tss! Pshhk!
The barbs dug deep into the gaps between scales, and the magnetic units locked on tight! The monster's momentum jerked to a halt! Even with its monstrous strength—instantly pulling the cables taut with an ear-splitting creak—so strong that several stone-pillar bases anchoring the lines began to loosen and shift… it was still tripped up by the sudden restraint, its huge body pitching forward under inertia!
"Group B! Reinforce!" Hawkeye barked again.
More cables fired from different directions, wrapping around the monster's limbs, neck, and waist. The agents used the remaining pillars and altar structures as anchors, hauling with everything they had—like they were playing tug-of-war with a prehistoric beast! Veins bulged on every face as they poured out their full strength!
"ROAR! ROAR—ROAR!" The monster thrashed and bellowed, trying to break free. Its razor claws tore at the cables, but S.H.I.E.L.D.'s special nano-alloy was incredibly tough, and it couldn't rip them apart right away. It whipped its head, trying to spew venom, but the agents were prepared—cable bindings limited the range of its head movement, and the poison could only spray onto the ground in front of it, corroding the stone into a patch of hissing white smoke.
