"That liquid is corrosive!" Hawkeye saw it splash onto a nearby stone pillar. The hard rock immediately let out a "sizzle," white smoke rising as it was rapidly eaten away. She didn't even need to ask—if that hit a human body, the outcome would be unthinkable!
Facing the dual attack of the crushing claw and the corrosive poison spray, Saitama simply shifted his body slightly, easily slipping out of the poison's line. The highly corrosive liquid grazed past his cape and flew by, landing on the open ground behind him and burning a scorched black patch into the stone.
At the same time, he raised his hand again.
Bang!
Another "Normal Punch," landing precisely in the center of the claw's palm.
The monster lurched in pain, its claw knocked aside. But this time, it seemed to have learned—rather than forcing a head-on clash, it borrowed the rebound from Saitama's punch, and its massive tail whipped in from the side like a steel lash, silent and vicious, carrying a wave of stinking wind!
"Saitama-san, watch your side!" an agent shouted.
It was as if Saitama had eyes on the back of his head. At the instant the tail was about to strike, he leaned forward at an unbelievable angle. The huge tail screamed past, barely grazing behind his back, and then smashed into the stone pillar beside him—
Boom!
A pillar thick enough for two people to hug snapped clean in half. Rubble exploded outward!
"Tch, pretty agile." Saitama glanced at the broken pillar, then at the roaring monster charging in again. At last, he put away that relaxed look. His gaze sharpened—just a little.
"Looks like I'll have to get a bit serious and play with you."
He pushed off with his feet. The ground cracked. His whole body shot forward like a cannonball, actively meeting the ancient beast radiating that oppressive aura!
Saitama's charge was like a yellow bolt of lightning, closing the distance in an instant.
The monster clearly didn't expect such a small creature to rush it head-on. A flicker of savage delight flashed in its blood-red eyes as its enormous claw came down again with a shriek that tore through the air, aiming to smash this annoying bug into paste!
Saitama didn't dodge.
Still the simplest, plainest straight punch—thrown directly into the center of that claw bigger than his whole body.
Bang! BOOM—!
This collision was far louder than before! A violent shockwave exploded outward from the two of them, kicking up sand and shattered stone into a swirling blast. Hawkeye and the agents were nearly blown off their feet, stumbling back and scrambling for cover.
The monster let out a roar tangled with pain and fury. Its heavy claw was blocked again—hard-stopped by Saitama's fist. The force even jolted the entire claw upward, exposing the relatively weaker inner side of its wrist.
But even there, the scales gleamed with a metallic shine.
Saitama tested it with a punch.
Only a shallow white mark remained—no damage at all to the scales themselves.
"So hard…" Saitama frowned slightly and shook out his wrist. This monster's defense was far beyond most opponents he'd faced before.
Completely enraged, the beast's attacks grew even more berserk!
It stopped relying only on claw strikes. Its thick tail—like a siege hammer—swept wildly, smashing anything in its path. Its fanged maw kept spewing deadly corrosive poison. Its enormous body slammed forward again and again, trying to crush Saitama with sheer mass.
The entire underground hall shook under its rampage. Stones rained down like hail. Ancient wall reliefs were smashed into powder.
Saitama's figure weaved through the storm of attacks with calm precision.
Sometimes he shifted aside to avoid the sweeping tail, the wind it created snapping his cape into a loud crackle—
