Its pair of scarlet compound eyes locked onto Saitama, clearly sensing the immense threat this bald man posed. It didn't waste words—its massive body erupted with a terrifying speed that didn't match its size at all, like a streak of dark-gold lightning as it lunged straight at Saitama! The gigantic claw, wrapped in an energy force field, tore through the air and came crashing down with a momentum that looked like it could annihilate anything in its path!
"Watch out!" Steve and Natasha shouted at the same time.
Saitama's eyes sharpened. He could feel that this strike carried power far beyond anything he'd faced so far. He didn't take it head-on—he pushed off the ground and shifted several meters to the side in an instant.
Boom!!!
The leader's claw slammed into where Saitama had been standing. The solid alloy floor was smashed like tofu, forming a crater several meters wide as spiderweb cracks spread outward!
"I'll handle this guy," Saitama said calmly after he stopped, looking at Steve and Natasha. "You two go wreck that device. Don't let the others interfere with me."
"Got it! Be careful!" Steve knew this wasn't the time to hesitate. He exchanged a quick look with Natasha, and the two of them skirted the battlefield and charged toward the central energy device. Meanwhile, the remaining beasts, driven by the leader's will, went completely berserk and threw themselves at Steve and Natasha, trying to stop them from getting close to the core.
In an instant, the core area split into two battlefields: on one side, Saitama versus the alien leader in a suffocating one-on-one duel; on the other, Steve and Natasha—under Tony's fire support—fighting a desperate, bloody battle against a tidal wave of beast guards, their target fixed on that core device that kept releasing destructive energy. The crisis hit its peak!
The alien leader's first strike missed, but it didn't pause. Its huge body showed shocking agility, snapping close to Saitama like a ghost. Its other arm—covered in dark-gold armor plating and wrapped in dazzling lightning—drove a massive fist toward Saitama's chest like a siege hammer! The speed and power of this punch far surpassed everything before it, compressing the air until it shrieked with a piercing sonic boom!
Saitama's eyes shifted slightly. This time, he didn't completely evade. He angled his body a little—and his right fist shot out after it, arriving first, meeting that terrifying punch head-on!
Dong—!!!
At the instant their fists collided, it was like two meteors crashing together! A visible white shockwave exploded outward in a sphere, instantly clearing everything within dozens of meters—metal debris and shattered stones were blown away and ground into powder! The entire underground space shook violently, and dust sifted down from the ceiling!
The ground beneath Saitama's feet collapsed into a deep crater, and his body swayed slightly…
As for the alien leader, it let out a muffled grunt. Its massive body staggered two steps back from the tremendous recoil. On the fist it had used to trade blows with Saitama, the dark-gold armor plating had several fine cracks running across it!
A flash of disbelief and shock flickered through the leader's scarlet compound eyes. It had never imagined that a mere human could match it in pure strength—let alone gain the upper hand!
"Not bad strength." Saitama shook out his wrist as he evaluated it. His gaze turned more serious. This opponent was worth using a little more power on.
Enraged, the leader went fully berserk! It stopped holding back. The three energy cores on its back flared at full brightness, like overloaded engines pouring out surging power! Its speed spiked again, and its attack patterns became even stranger and harder to predict.
