Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Silver Small Sword, Test Ball Explodes

Chapter 2: Silver Small Sword, Test Ball Explodes

Warmth was Li Tianyi's first feeling. He felt as if enveloped in a world of warmth, his body indescribably exhilarated. As the warmth seeped into his body, Li Tianyi felt his Saiyan blood tremble.

Then, drawn by the warmth, something within him seemed to shatter, and all the warmth instantly converged in his palms.

The golden light began to dim, and the test drew to a close.

Su Yuntao had grown somewhat numb. He had watched the golden light flicker and fade countless times over the past few days, each time bringing no joy, only sighs.

"Ah!"

He sighed as a powerful silver light suddenly illuminated the room, instantly capturing everyone's attention. Within the vast expanse of silver light, it seemed as if seven mysterious purple meteors streaked across it.

Su Yuntao's dejection vanished, his eyes gleaming with brilliance. His body instantly straightened, and he looked at Li Tianyi solemnly.

"Clang!"

A whirring sword sound emanated from Li Tianyi's right palm, and a three-inch-long silver sword emerged.

The sword's appearance sent a wave of sharp energy surging towards everyone in the room. Su Yuntao's Lone Wolf spirit was utterly terrified, dissolving its form with a whine.

"How is this possible! How could this little loser awaken his spirit?!" the old village chief's face was filled with disbelief.

Su Yuntao glared fiercely at the old village chief, unconcerned with his own spirit's retreat, his face lit up with ecstasy.

In the corner of the room, Tang San's face was grim, his teeth gnashing as he fiercely controlled his left hand.

Unlike the Blue Silver Grass spirit he had awakened in his right hand, his left hand, hidden behind his back, now held a jet-black hammer, flickering with a dark light, as if possessed by a spirit. He felt the excitement of meeting a worthy opponent.

The silver light quickly receded into Li Tianyi's body.

The moment Li Tianyi opened his eyes, he nearly struck out with his sword. Su Yuntao was hunched over, his large head pressed close to his body, carefully examining the small sword in his hand.

Li Tianyi's gaze was also drawn to his own small, pure silver sword. What a cool sword! As if recognizing the spirit in Li Tianyi's hand, Su Yuntao, a Level 26 Great Spirit Master, actually stuttered.

Li Tianyi suddenly remembered that spirit, too. It rivaled Tang San's Clear Sky Hammer, the world's foremost weapon spirit. No! In terms of attack power alone, it even surpassed the Clear Sky Hammer, the continent's foremost offensive spirit.

Sword energy crisscrossed thirty thousand miles. Who could resist the Seven Killing Sword ?

Seven—

Killing

Sword!

Su Yuntao spoke the silver sword spirit's true name, word by word.

Li Tianyi, confident of his ultimate invincibility even without a top-tier spirit, couldn't help but feel excited.

Seven Killing Sword! When a Level 70 weapon spirit's true form is unleashed, its attack power increases by a full 500%!

The expression on Su Yuntao's face when he looked at Li Tianyi at this moment was as if he saw his own father, no, it was as if he saw his ancestor.

You know, there are countless ordinary deacons like him in the Spirit Hall. Apart from improving their strength, they can only get promoted and make money by discovering good seedlings. That's why he was so disappointed before.

"Um, Lord Su!" Li Tianyi spoke for the first time.

"Don't be rude. Call me Lord, call me Soul Master!" The old village chief came to his senses and scolded Li Tianyi.

"Old Jack, you are rude!" Su Yuntao shouted, then looked at Li Tianyi flatteringly and said: "Don't call me Lord, just call me Brother Su if you don't mind."

Li Tianyi didn't answer, but pointed to the blue crystal ball that can test innate soul power.

"Right, right, right! Look how excited I am, I've forgotten all about serious matters."

Su Yuntao lost his previous arrogance and said flatteringly, "But your spirit is the most advanced weapon spirit on our continent. I think it's possible to have full innate spirit power."

Li Tianyi didn't want to waste time. He put away the Seven Killing Swords and placed his hand on the blue crystal ball.

The moment his palm touched the crystal ball, a powerful force suddenly sucked in. Li Tianyi's body trembled slightly, and the newly awakened power within him poured into it.

The blue crystal ball suddenly lit up, like a dazzling sapphire, emitting a faint blue glow, exuding an endless sense of mystery in the narrow wooden house.

According to traditional testing, any reaction from the crystal ball, even a hint of light, proves the existence of spirit power in the tester. The crystal ball before him was completely blue, and there was only one explanation.

Su Yuntao vowed to maintain some appearances and not show such excitement. He deliberately pretended to be a buddy who had expected this, and looked very calm.

"Crack!"

As if it had endured too much, irregular stripes and cracks suddenly appeared on the surface of the blue crystal ball.

Su Yuntao opened his mouth wide and couldn't help but swear, "What the hell! What did I see? The crystal ball can crack?"

Li Tianyi poked him with his finger and pointed at his own hand, indicating that he couldn't take it off.

Su Yuntao took a long time to come back to his senses. He used his soul power to help Li Tianyi take it off, and then picked up the cracked crystal ball and looked at it in surprise.

"This, you don't have to pay for it!" Li Tianyi hesitated. He was shocked himself, wondering how serious the cheating in this life was that he could even make the test crystal ball dry and cracked.

"Compensation? Even if I sold you, this monster, I couldn't afford it!" The sharp, humiliated voice echoed again, and the old village chief's face turned grim. He couldn't understand why no one in the village could afford it, but this unwanted little monster could.

"Shut up, old man! Why are you everywhere? If you keep talking nonsense, I'll put you to death!"

Old Jack's insults to Li Tianyi earlier had nothing to do with him, but now he couldn't. Su Yuntao had already made up his mind to cling to Li Tianyi's thick legs, so how could he tolerate being insulted?

"What's there to compensate for? Big Brother has plenty of new ones!" Su Yuntao patted his chest proudly, but inwardly he was wailing. This thing was so expensive that even if he sold me, he couldn't afford it.

But things were different now. He looked at Li Tianyi with hope and said solemnly, "Will you join my Spirit Hall?"

Hey, I've been waiting for you to say this for six years.

Li Tianyi nodded without hesitation, thinking that the first step of his plan could finally begin.

Su Yuntao smiled with satisfaction. In his eyes, even Li Tianyi's tattered fur coat looked so fashionable. And that fluffy tail? It made it even more iconic.

As expected, geniuses are exceptional and unique, Su Yuntao thought to himself. Without even bothering to pack up, he simply grabbed Li Tianyi and headed out, eager to claim the credit.

Tang San bit his lip and stepped forward, asking somewhat unwillingly, "Uncle Yun, can you test my innate spirit power?"

Su Yuntao waved his hand impatiently, "You're so clueless, can't you see the equipment's broken?"

"Besides, there's nothing to test with your useless Blue Silver Grass spirit."

Tang San's face darkened, and he remained silent.

Li Tianyi hesitated, his voice trembling with worry for Su Yuntao. "Will you die if you speak nicely?" If Tang San, the King of Hidden Weapons, hadn't held back and given you a shot, you'd surely regret your rude words.

Several people emerged from the wooden house, one after another, to see the eagerly awaited villagers outside.

An elderly woman quickly rushed over and hugged the child who had just awakened his sickle. "Hu Zi, how's it going? What did you awaken? Can you become a Spirit Master?"

Hu Zi had been holding it in for a while, but now, suddenly questioned by his family, he burst into tears.

A young woman, who had been waiting outside the door, nervously approached, peering into Li Tianyi's typically cool and handsome face and eagerly asking, "How's it going, mute brother? Did you awaken?"

The elderly woman hugged the sobbing Hu Zi and scolded him, "My own Hu Zi didn't make it, so this little monster has even less chance."

"Becoming a distinguished Spirit Master? This little monster with a long tail? You're dreaming! Is he worthy?" Another parent, having learned of their child's failure, seized the opportunity to vent his frustration.

"Shut up, all of you!" Su Yuntao couldn't bear it any longer, channeling his spirit power and roaring.

The women instantly withered like hens with their necks clamped shut.

Li Tianyi tugged at Su Yuntao's clothes and shook his head at him.

He turned to the girl and said gently, "Thanks to you, I succeeded!"

The girl jumped up in joy, as if she had just awakened. She was truly happy for Li Tianyi, knowing full well what had happened to him.

"Hmm? Mute brother, you can speak now?" the girl suddenly realized.

Li Tianyi nodded.

The girl said bitterly, "Well, you used to use hand gestures and write on the ground."

Li Tianyi glanced at Su Yuntao and said, "Can you lend me some money?"

Su Yuntao naturally agreed, pulling out his purse and handing it to Li Tianyi.

Li Tianyi took the purse and thrust it into the girl's hands without even counting.

Su Yuntao's mouth twitched. "You know how much money is in there? You're so generous!" But then he remembered Li Tianyi's talent, and his lips began to curl.

"I can't accept that!"

"When everyone treated me like a monster, you were the only one willing to defend me against the complaints of my family!" This was the first time Li Tianyi had spoken so much since his birth.

He pointed at the lonely Tang San in the crowd and said, "Brother Tao, can you help me take care of him? I don't need too much, just give him a chance to test his innate spirit power."

"Him?" Su Yuntao was surprised, but didn't ask further questions. After a moment's thought, he nodded.

Tang San's eyes flashed with joy, and he walked over quickly, asking in confusion, "Why are you helping me?"

Li Tianyi narrowed his eyes and said, "I can't say when I'll be back. I hope you can help me take care of her if you can!"

"Little mute!" The girl stamped her foot in anger, very dissatisfied with Li Tianyi for letting a six-year-old brat take care of her from now on.

Tang San's eyes flashed with surprise, but he finally nodded.

Li Tianyi looked around at the villagers, wanting to ask why they always hated him so much, but finally shook his head, thinking it over.

Isn't human nature like that sometimes? When you're not good enough, even the slightest flaw is considered a heinous sin. When you're good, everyone praises your shortcomings to the hilt.

Su Yuntao had seen enough and said disdainfully to those around him, "Go, little brother! Your future doesn't belong here!"

Before leaving, seeing the girl's reluctant gaze, he said loudly, "My name is Li Tianyi."

As he watched the departing figure, the girl's crisp voice rang out, "My name is Ying Xueer!"

A man learned about what happened in the cabin from his own child and subconsciously said, "If this were my son, how wonderful it would be."

The other villagers, watching the thin figure depart in the sunset, couldn't help but admit, "That abandoned little monster is finally becoming a dragon!"

The old village chief, Jack, though he protested, couldn't help but hiss inwardly, "It seems like Holy Soul Village might have to change its name this time!"
