Chapter 265: Instantly Killing Chiyo's Troops, Temari's Tearful Plea
The Konoha ninja in charge of guarding them were stunned. The next second, they subconsciously wanted to sound the alarm.
But Morino Ibiki patted one of them on the shoulder, shook his head, and signaled for him to pretend nothing had happened.
And so, the two of them tacitly turned around, actually planning to just leave.
This broke Kankurō's composure. "Bastards! Stop!" he shouted.
"Someone just broke my sister out of prison! Why aren't you doing anything? Give me the alarm, I'll sound it!"
"Can't you Konoha people have a little vigilance? I'm not convinced that I lost to you!"
No matter how Kankurō roared, Ibiki wouldn't pay him any mind for at least an hour.
This was Ibiki's trust in Akiyama Makoto.
Even if Makoto took Temari away and never came back, he wouldn't be angry. He would just write a report to the Konoha advisors and let them negotiate the matter with Makoto.
After all, the private life of a Kage-level powerhouse wasn't something a Special Jōnin like him could question.
On Temari's side, when she came to her senses, she was already in a sun-drenched bedroom filled with the scent of flowers and bedding.
Looking at the large bed in front of her, she was a little dazed. "Where is this?"
"My room," Makoto said as he unlocked her shackles.
Temari trembled all over, biting her lip. She whispered, pretending to be calm, "Is this what you call going for a drive?"
"Yes."
He then opened the closet to pick out clothes.
A look of sorrow flashed in Temari's eyes, but in the end, she silently pulled at her collar and took off her prison uniform, revealing her full and rounded figure.
Even though she lived in the desert all year round, Temari surprisingly had a cool, fair complexion. It had to be said that this was a physical miracle.
But right now, all of this was fully displayed before him.
He held a kimono, looking at her in surprise.
She took the kimono with her head lowered, and then walked towards the bathroom.
So self-conscious?
He shrugged, put away her prison uniform, and waited patiently.
But to his surprise, she came out ten minutes later.
"So fast?" he asked subconsciously.
"We only have an hour, don't we?" she said awkwardly. "And I'm not dirty. I wash properly every day."
With that, she took a deep breath, walked towards him, and then, under his surprised gaze, gently pulled the sash of the kimono, returning to her unclothed state.
Her lips trembled, but she still mustered her courage. "Let's begin—"
"I don't mind—"
He rested his chin in his hand, admiring her beauty. "But you're planning to go for a drive on the border like this?"
"Of course—wait, what did you say?"
Temari's eyes widened abruptly. He spread his hands. "Go for a drive on the border. I want to see if I can find your Sand Village's main force. I want to discuss a deal with Chiyo."
Temari stared at him, dumbfounded. Seeing that he didn't seem to be lying, her body slowly turned red, until she looked like a cooked shrimp.
She quickly crossed her arms over her chest. "I—I misunderstood!"
"Don't look! You're not allowed to look! Turn around! I need to get dressed!"
"You want me to turn around just because you say so? I'm the winner here. Hurry up and get dressed!"
She put on her clothes with trembling hands. Just as she was about to tie the sash, he said, "Wait, there's something dirty."
He looked down. She stopped subconsciously, and only then realized she had been tricked. Her legs went weak, and she sat down on the floor.
Her body was limp, and the look she gave him was mixed with shame and anger. He pursed his lips. "What I meant was, you can't just wear a kimono. There's some underwear here you can wear too."
He took out the spare clothes Anko had left there. Temari took them in a panic, only to realize they were too big.
"Whose clothes are these? Did you steal them?" she asked angrily.
"No, they belong to my first wife and second wife."
"You already have two wives?"
"No, let me count—exactly ten. You're the eleventh."
And that wasn't even counting Tsunade and Mei Terumī.
As Temari put on the clothes, she looked at him in disbelief. "Unbelievable. Why is there someone like you in Konoha? Has no one stopped you from doing this kind of thing?"
"They can't beat me."
Temari was speechless for a moment, then said, "Then what about the girls you forced? Don't they resist?"
"They all like me!"
"I don't believe you!"
"You will."
With that, he wrapped his arm around her waist and lifted her into a princess carry.
"Wait a minute, I haven't put on my shoes—"
"Where am I going to find shoes that fit you? Just make do. You're not heavy anyway; I can carry you the whole time."
Then, Makoto and Temari vanished, reappearing on a tree branch at the border.
The sudden change of scenery and the familiar hot desert wind left Temari unable to adapt for a moment.
Looking at the familiar sea of sand in the distance, she realized she had really arrived at the border between Konoha and the Sand Village. The shyness and unease in her heart were long gone, replaced by intense shock.
To travel from Konoha to the border in an instant... did that mean he could travel from his home to the Sand Village in an instant?
Given that he had the strength to create a hundred shadow clones and go on a killing spree, slaughtering the entire Sand Village wouldn't be too big of a problem for him, would it?
Most importantly, he could send shadow clones to do this. Even if the clones were destroyed, he wouldn't care at all; he just had to send more later.
As long as Makoto himself didn't die, he could keep fighting in this rogue manner until his enemies completely collapsed.
Temari looked up at the sunny smile on his face, only now realizing how terrifying the deterrent force contained within his seemingly joking "they can't beat me" was.
This person—was not someone she could fight against.
Even the entire Sand Village... why had they provoked Konoha in the first place, drawing out such a terrifying god?
If they had known earlier—
At this thought, her eyes reddened.
He lowered his head and kissed away her tears. At first, she didn't react, then she cried out in surprise, "Wh-What are you doing!"
"Wiping away your tears."
"Couldn't you use your hand?"
"My hands are busy."
His left hand was under her knees, and his right arm was wrapped around her back, maintaining balance. Her face flushed red. She quickly pushed his face away with her hand and wiped her tears herself.
She then looked towards the desert, towards the direction of the Sand Village, her eyes lost.
Where was the future of the Sand Village? Where was her future?
Did she really have to be with the person beside her—
"Are you ready? We're going to continue searching. Your Sand Village people are all hiding under the sand. They're not easy to find."
He just said it casually. With the Mind's Eye of Kagura, he could easily discover their existence.
Ten minutes later, he found the Sand Village scouts, and following their tracks, he found the main force.
He simply stopped, put her down, and said, "Let's rest for a while. I'm tired."
"Mm."
After being put down, she breathed a sigh of relief. Then, seeing the look in his eyes, she realized what she should do.
She awkwardly wiped the sweat from his face, then said, "It would have been nice if you had just given me a pair of shoes—"
"I was finding an excuse to hold you. Don't ruin the good atmosphere."
She was both angry and amused. "You don't have to tease me. I know my looks aren't enough to catch your eye. What is your goal—"
"How can I prove that I'm interested in you?" His finger blocked her lips. "Actually, I don't mind becoming husband and wife with you right here and now. What do you think?"
Her face flushed red again. She had just been trying to get information out of him.
Now—she obediently shut her mouth, just looking in the direction of the Sand Village, enjoying the peace of this moment with him.
Suddenly, she felt that this situation wasn't bad.
At least she didn't have to fight and kill as a ninja anymore. But did this inhumane guy really have ten wives?
If he knew her thoughts, he would also be very helpless.
Having had so many simulation targets, he couldn't just let them go.
Temari was the same. She provided him with the Wind Release attribute. Although the level wasn't high, it was an indispensable part.
He could only "give himself" to her in return... As for her current reluctance, it was only temporary.
In the future, he and she would have a political marriage. Compared to a cold political couple, he didn't mind playing a little livelier with her now, so that there would be some real affection between them.
"They're coming."
Suddenly, he spoke.
Temari was startled, then her expression changed drastically. "You're not allowed to attack!"
However, the one attacking was Chiyo. The Chikamatsu Collection of Ten Puppets attacked him from underground, a dazzling array of assaults.
Chiyo naturally wouldn't listen to Temari. Even Rasa wasn't qualified to order Chiyo around.
Seeing that a battle was inevitable, Temari could only beg him, "Don't kill anyone else!"
"Then you'll have to repay me later."
His figure vanished, but his voice remained.
"Okay!"
She responded without thinking. At the same time, she felt she should repay him.
Otherwise, with his methods, the Sand Village's last remaining facade might also die here today.
Chiyo frowned, not quite understanding what was happening.
In fact, she didn't even know what had happened in Konoha. Not a single spy had left Konoha alive.
The Sand Village had even tried to contact Orochimaru, but his previous bases had all been abandoned. He had no desire to contact the already-useless Sand Village, leaving the Sand completely in the dark about Konoha.
The next second, under Chiyo's incredulous gaze, her Ten Puppets went out of control.
Looking closely, ten chakra threads had flown from his ten fingers, wrestling control of the puppets from her.
Chiyo was shocked beyond words. She had never dreamed that one day, a Konoha ninja would confront her in such a way.
But she made a prompt decision and immediately ordered, "Attack!"
Then, more puppet masters and Sand ninja appeared from all directions. Some attacked him, while others tried to rescue Temari.
As a result, kunai suddenly appeared in the crowd.
Then, ten Makotos flashed into existence. White robes, grey hair, turning into sword-lights of the death god, reaping everyone's lives.
"No!"
Temari cried out in terror. Chiyo was also shocked enough to immediately abandon the Ten Puppets at hand. She took out two scrolls, preparing to use the remaining puppets.
But the next second, her vision went black. By the time she realized something was wrong and quickly formed seals to dispel the genjutsu, her scrolls were already in his hands.
As for him, he was sitting beside Temari again, playing with the scrolls in his hand.
At the same time, Sand ninja fell one by one, blood flowing from their necks.
