Olaf tried hurting this strange man in front of him, but for some reason, the unarmed guy kept dodging, those sword strikes. Olaf could see that David was terrified. He could see the fear of death in his opponent's eyes, and yet he wasn't running. And it aggravated him.
Olaf: WHY. DON'T. YOU. STAY. STILL.
Olaf, enraged with his movements, spoke out while preemptively striking at him. David kept dodging.
David: Because....I don't wanna die??!?!
Olaf had one weakness that he wasn't aware of. But David could zee it. Even when he was younger, David would always try to memorize patterns in his opponents movements, whether it was in an online game or in a real life tournament. And Olaf was....very repetitive.
His swordplay was excellent, but his strikes could be avoided if they knew where he was going to strike next- which was David's specialty.
He waited for his chance, and when Olaf struck to his right, David dodged and closed in to his opponent. He did a chop with his left arm to Olaf's sword-weilding arm. It hit his muscles and David used his other arm to reverse chop the forearm, disarming Olaf in the process. And then David moved back while kneeing Olaf's stomach and then he kicked the sword out of the way. Without the sword in action, David had a chance.
Rose turned back to look at Olaf with absolute disgust in his face.
Rose: You seriously let a commoner disarm you??
Olaf himself looked disgusted at himself. His eyes were red with rage, his pupils dilated. He was ready to kill.
Olaf: I'm sorry, Rose! This was on me! I will be sure....to get my revenge, right now!
Rose: Be quick. We know that the Thorne is dangerous, and Bjorn might need us, when he is dealing with that psychopath.
David was confused on what their conversation meant. He already had no idea about Lin and Melissa, except a few stuff that Max had told about them. He didn't really know if Melissa was considered a "psychopath", but as far as he knew, she seemed sweet. He didn't know if he was in the right or wrong here, but he decided to stick with Max's friends. He had no attachment to them, but Max spoke kindly of them, which he rarely did. He placed all his trust in his brother.
Olaf took his fighting stance ready to dish out a severe beating.
David: Oh okay....do we seriously have to fight?? Can we talk this out?? Like maybe we are all good guys..
Olaf: You can't run away from this! I'm gonna break every bone in your body and prove how much of an insect you are. Then I'm gonna scrape your skin with my sword and torture you by putting you in salt water. And then I will electrocute you with our Ancient Methods and when I'm done with you, you will beg me to kill you...!!
David: Okay.....you are not really a good person, I guess..
Olaf started running towards David and David blocked his punch, pretty easily. But Olaf wasn't giving up. He kept striking as David kept blocking. With the barrage of punches, David had no time to even think of attacking him. And then he heard a loud voice from above him.
Chuck: DAAAAVIIIDDDDD!!!
Both Olaf and David turned up, to see Chuck flying in the air above them, slowly lowering himself. Even Lin stopped to watch him.
Lin: What the-
Chuck: Hahahah...
David: How the hell are you doing that??
Chuck simply laughed at it, holding the Eternal Tome of Levitation in his arms. He had found it at the right time to be of help.
Olaf: A Blessing..??
David noticed that his opponent too, was distracted. So he immediately kicked him in the stomach and he flew across the room, falling on to the main desk. Isabella looked distraught with the amount of damage.
David: I'm sorry, Isabella!! I'll pay you later, 'kay??
Chuck: With this, I'll tail Melissa and keep an eye on her and try to help her. When Max gets here, I'm the one who can tell him!!
Suddenly Rose jumped to the air trying to injure Chuck, but Chuck just flew higher, thanks to Lin warning him. Rose looked disappointed, and Lin shouted once more.
Lin: GO GET HER!!
Chuck nodded in agreement and turned towards the entrance to see Max and co running towards them, and he couldn't help but smile.
Chuck: They are here!!! Max and Albert are here!!
David: Sachika?!??!?!
Rose landed on his feet to look outside to see the three new players enter the field. Olaf woke up and stood up, dusting himself and looked at them too.
Chuck: With him here, you guys are done for!!
But as soon as Chuck said that, the lights started flickering. Lin was confused at first, but the scar on his face started itching quite a bit. And then he beard the laugh. It belonged to the Ameliorate, Sarzar!!
Lin: Oh no...!!
Olaf: Now who the hell is that..??!
Rose: Probably an Ameliorate...
And soon Sarzar charged at Max pushing him three building away with a single strike of lightning. Max barely survived using the power of his eyes and hand. Albert wanted to turn, but his gemstone started glowing on Excalibur.
AMD Rose's eyes lit up, for the first time in years..
Rose: IS THAT THE LEGENDARY EXCALIBUR?!?!??!
