Chapter 3 - Prologue – Part 2: Legendary Encounter

ULTRA SPACE

The ship soared through an endless stream of stars and kaleidoscopic lights. The walls of reality shimmered, warping with impossible patterns. No sound existed, yet it was far from silent. It was as if the very fabric of existence whispered.

Team Origin stared in wide-eyed awe.

"Team Origin, report status," came the director's voice through the intercom, slightly distorted.

Agent Omega leaned forward, his voice steady. "We appear to be traveling through a dimensional corridor… possibly the boundary space between realities. Proceeding with caution."

Suddenly—

BAM.

They collided with one of the glowing lights.

"Watch out!" Alpha barked.

But… nothing happened.

"What was that?" The director shouted, voice rising in panic.

"No damage," Omega replied calmly. "We made contact with one of the lights, but we seem to have… phased through it."

Unseen to them, the ship's systems registered a sudden acceleration. As more lights brushed against the hull, the speed steadily increased.

Five Hours Later

"Uh… Omega?" Alpha squinted at the screen. "You might wanna tap the brakes. We're moving a little too fast for my liking."

Omega didn't respond right away.

"...Yeah. Small problem with that."

Four heads turned to him simultaneously.

"What?"

"I'm not piloting anymore," he said flatly. "The ship's been moving on its own for a while now."

"WHAT?!" Gamma screeched.

"You noticed and didn't say anything?!" she demanded, her voice shrill with disbelief.

"I wanted to avoid panic. Nothing good ever comes from panicking." He stepped away from the controls, hands behind his back like a lecturer.

Gamma grabbed him by the collar and shook him violently. "PANIC IS TOTALLY WARRANTED RIGHT NOW!"

"This… is why… I didn't… say anything…" Omega wheezed, trying to stay upright.

Gamma released him with a huff and turned to Alpha. "Surely you don't agree with this walking deadpan?"

Alpha had his feet kicked up on the dashboard. "Gamma, there's nothing we can do. The ship's in autopilot—or whatever the hell is driving us now—and communication's gone. Even if we contacted HQ, how would they find us in this?"

Gamma turned to Beta for support—only to find him quietly sobbing into his sleeves.

"We're doomed. We're so doomed. Stranded forever. I'll die before I learn another language." Gamma slumped back in her seat, dramatic as ever.

Just then, something brighter than all the lights they had passed flared ahead.

It grew rapidly.

Too fast.

"Brace yourselves—!"

CRASH.

A wall of searing light engulfed them. For a moment, they felt nothing but warmth. A strange comfort, like falling asleep in the sun.

Then—

Darkness.

No stars. No colour. Just infinite black.

"Are we dead?" Gamma whispered. "Is this heaven? Or…"

Before she could finish, four orbs of light appeared in the void.

One was crimson and black.

Another, shimmering blue and silver.

The third, violet and rose.

And the last—blinding gold and white.

The orbs pulsed… and transformed into massive creatures.

Each of them radiated godlike power. Size. Presence. Existence. The four teens felt like insects before skyscrapers.

"I don't know what those are," Alpha muttered, "but I have a very bad feeling about this."

The god-beasts stared at them.

Then three turned to the gold-and-white one at the centre.

"They're… communicating," Omega murmured. "I can't understand them, but it looks like they're… deferring to the leader."

A deep, resonant voice echoed through their minds.

"Humans..."

The voice shook them to the core—not with volume, but with divine finality.

"I am Arceus, creator of all Pokémon, and god of existence itself."

Gamma blinked. "Did… did the gold horse just say it's a god?"

"I heard it too," Alpha said, wide-eyed. "And I'm still not convinced."

"You come from a world where Pokémon do not exist. Your disbelief is understandable," Arceus continued.

One by one, the others introduced themselves:

"I am Dialga, god of Time."

"I am Palkia, goddess of Space."

"I am Giratina, god of Antimatter."

Each name carried weight—like being told the laws of physics had names and personalities.

Gamma squinted. "So… Time, Space, Antimatter, and… Everything. What a team. So, why us?"

"We brought you here," Arceus said. "Apologies. But we are in need of your help."

"We do not interfere with the mortal world directly," Dialga added. "It… complicates things."

"Humans, on the other hand, can act freely," Palkia explained, voice melodic and calm.

"We want you to become our Avatars," Giratina finished, voice hauntingly distorted. "You will be given new forms, new bodies—tailored for our mission."

Alpha crossed his arms. "And what do we get out of this divine favour?"

"A wish. Any wish. Each of you may ask one thing of us—and it shall be granted."

Omega and Alpha immediately exchanged a glance.

"I'm in," they said in unison.

Gamma exploded. "WHAT?! You didn't even think about it or consult us?!"

"Gamma, sweetie," Omega said, brushing invisible dust from his shoulder. "We're stuck in a cosmic limbo with four elemental gods. This is our best shot."

She turned to Beta, desperate. He was still staring at the gods in silent awe.

"…Yeah, I don't think Beta's with us right now," Alpha said.

They regrouped.

"The first wish", Omega declared, "should go to informing HQ. Let them know we're alive."

"Good," Alpha nodded. "Second—some kind of guide. We're heading into a world we know nothing about."

"And the third?" Gamma asked.

Omega smirked. "Don't worry your pretty little head about that one. I've got it."

Gamma looked at Alpha. "You trust that smile?"

"Not for a second."

Omega stepped forward, addressing the gods.

"We've reached an agreement. No need to repeat our wishes—you already heard them."

"Very well," Arceus replied. "And your third wish?"

Omega gave a half-laugh. "You already read my mind. Go on. Use it."

There was a pause.

"...My, my. You are bold. Are you certain?"

"Completely."

"So be it."

A radiant glow emanated from Arceus and the others.

"It shall be done."

The teens began to glow—weightless, formless. The ship dissolved away as they floated toward the gods. Each teen now faced their divine counterpart.

Alpha stood before Giratina.

Gamma, before Palkia.

Beta, before Dialga.

And Omega, before Arceus.

The gods raised their heads in unison—

A blinding light consumed them.

Their consciousness faded…
