Win's hand clamped hard over King's mouth, cutting off the scream before it could fully escape.
Through the darkness, his voice was a low, urgent hiss. "Shh! King, it's me. I'm not here to hurt you. I just want to hold you."
King struggled weakly beneath the weight of Win's body and hand. Though Win had only intended to cuddle, his past actions had poisoned every gesture. The terror was overwhelming. King's muffled plea vibrated beneath Win's palm.
"Please... don't have sex with me! I'm still recovering!"
The muffled words twisted Win's face into a mask of anguish. He felt a wave of crushing guilt. King didn't believe him. He didn't believe the touch was innocent; he only saw the predator that had once violated him.
Win slowly removed his hand from King's mouth, but his body remained pressed against him. "King, look at me. I came here only to hold you. I miss you. I know you're recovering. I promise, I won't touch you like that. I just want to cuddle you to sleep."
