Birds chirped in the village hidden in the leaves as the sun was about to rise. The streets were still relatively empty as shop keeps were only just opening their shops and the ever busy civilians were only just waking up before they begin their day. For one particular resident Naruto was about to preform his most ambitious prank yet, with paint buckets in his hands he set his sights for the Hokage monument… that was until he was enveloped into a flash of light caused by a ghostly figure getting slammed into him.
'Huh what's going on I was just hit by a truck and next thing I know I'm here.' The man currently possessing our protagonist's body looked around until his eyes landed on a mountain with four recognizable faces.
'Is this a coma dream or something? I should be dead! The truck was going way too fast this can't be a coma dream can it? If I somehow lived I'm going to be a paraplegic for sure!'
It was then that he noticed he was shorter than before… and his attire. 'No… no it can't be can it?' He scrambled over to a puddle of water on the street. "That's N… Naruto." He whispered. "I'm freaking Naruto Uzumaki the future Hokage of the leaf!"
This drew the attention of a few nearby civilians who recognized the boy and saw him holding paint buckets. This caused them to sneer.
"It's that boy again I swear if he vandalizes my store with those paint buckets I'll skin that de-"
There was a shushing sound as another civilian stopped her from calling Naruto a demon. "You know we aren't aloud to talk about his status like that." She scolded in a hushed whisper.
Not wanting to attract too much of the wrong attention Naruto instinctively grabbed the paint buckets he was just carrying a moment ago and ran away from the public eye.
'This can't be real I still had a life going for me back home. I had just became a junior in high school. I had a family I loved as well. Sure I was a loser who watched too much anime and was practically addicted to video games but I had a lot going for me.'

Just like many other readers this transmigrator read many iterations of the same stories that he enjoyed. There is a good plenty of those readers who have been exposed to the concept isekai or reincarnation. Many of those readers too wished they could be brought to or reborn in some of thier favorite fictional worlds. Whether it was to get close to the waifu's they fell for or to beat the big bad and be the MC even the original sucked at being. Nothing personal demon slayer and jujutsu kaisen fans.
It was only natural this transmigor would default to thinking his situation is something reminiscent of a coma dream. That is because this is what his situation means to him. A dream come true. Sure this world was dangerous but his current circumstances brought him an opportunity of a lifetime. To free himself and immerse himself in a world that is both familiar enough not to be discouraged by the journey, but unfamiliar enough to still hold secrets that entice the adventurous part of him that wants to explore this 'dream' for what it's worth.

Reward: Additional Fox like features (claws, canine teeth, ears, and 9 tails) and a Fox Mask (contains a small portion of the nine tails chakra to use at will without mental corruption).
Naruto read with some intrigue. 'I couldn't see myself doing this task since growling would just be too wired for me. The mask however is tempting, but i won't follow through since i absolutely do not want to have tails or fox like ears no matter how cool having claws or sharper canines might be.'
Naruto continued to read on his other options.
Choice 2: Paint the Hokage mountain but depict the 4 Hokage's on the being leashed by their wives or greatest enemies. (Example: Minato leashed by Kushina, Tobirama leashed by Izuna, and Hashirama leashed by Madara).
Reward: Naruto Uzumaki's memories and a mind protection seal.
Naruto didn't even get to finish reading before he burst out laughing. 'Compared to the last one the rewards while tame would be useful. Assuming this isn't a coma dream I need to cover up my knowledge of the story line in case someone like a Yamanaka got any funny ideas. Also I'm lacking Naruto's old memories at the moment so that tie bit of information would be useful since I don't know a thing about throwing Kunai or using the transformation jutsu which means I'm working from nothing.'
Choice 3 (Revenge): Paint graffiti on the shops across Konoha's busy sector as an act of retaliation.
Reward: System Shop (civilian) and a years supply of Ichiraku ramen.
'The dhop system could be useful but i shouldn't agitate the villagers too much or ill risk making my situation here worse if I'm stuck here in the long term'.
Choice 4: Be a good boy and get to class on time. When someone sneers at you smile back and walk away. Put a green hat on your head too while your at it. Be sure to offer Hinata up to Sasuke or the Raikage while your at it bro because your not made for the life of a main character. In fact they system aught to uninstall at that point.
Rewards: Green Hat and 2 packs of Candoms (grows to fit the wearer)

Naruto didn't even give that last option any thoughts grabbing the buckets he didn't give they system time to think he was stalling or about to walk off he took the buckets and made his way to the top of the mountain. He has pride to protect and option 2 was the route he decided to go.

Naruto who was sweating laughed to himself as he dangled from a rope along the maintain face of his last victim the fourth Hokage. Next to the face of his father Minato was the vissage of an angry looking red head woman with devil horns and demon wings holding the leash that was attached to collar with a spike design.
The face to the left belonged to Hiruzen's. The person or thing hold ing the leash for lord third was surprisingly not Biwako as Naruto didn't remember what she looked like nor was it Danzo as he didn't want to attract the wrong kind of trouble. Instead he opted for a pile of paperwork on top of a desk that had hands attached and was holding the leash.
For Tobirama it was in fact Izuna who was looking disdainfully at the Madara next to him that was kissing Hashiram's cheek while holding the leash.
Naruto who was too busy admiring his artwork that would put Picasso or Bob Ross to shame didn't notice the angry ninjas who had arrived. They were comprised of Genin, chunin, and a few ANBU who were observing from the side.
Laughing aloud for all to here. "It's about time someone came to stop me I was already finishing with the final touches before you arrived.
"Damn it Uzumaki, get back here!" Before they could catch him Naruto transformed into a basket ball and dropped out of the ropes holding him and bounced to another part of the village before transforming back.
That was how the Great Naruto Chase began. Ninjas from all across the village would offer chase as Naruto would use transformation jutsu to his advantage transforming into civilians or animals that would give him an advantage in navigating tough inner city terrain.
The chase would go on until midday when an Angry Iruka caught an exhausted Naruto who was trying to rest up in a deserted alley way.
"What how did you catch me Iruka sensei?"
"The real question is what are you doing here when you should be in class?"
Naruto tried to put up a fight and make a run for it but Iruka overpowered him and managed to tie him up. Naruto was clawing at the dirt as Iruka dragged him back to the ninja academy.
