Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Demon Brothers and Sleep-Deprived Humans

Kei stared at the two men now occupying his tiny bedroom.

One—Azriel—was shirt half-open, smug grin, leaning casually against the wall like he owned the place. The other—Belial—stood straight, arms crossed, eyes like a frozen lake, glaring daggers at his younger brother.

"Wait, brothers?!" Kei said, voice breaking halfway through the word. "You're both demons and you're related?!"

Az sighed dramatically. "Unfortunately."

Bel's cold gaze never wavered. "And you're already causing problems."

Az rolled his eyes. "Relax, Bel. I'm just fulfilling a contract."

"With him?" Bel's tone sharpened as he pointed to Kei.

Kei raised both hands. "Don't drag me into this—I'm just the accidental summoner with red chalk circles, remember?!"

Az stepped closer, lips curled into a smirk. "You say accidental, but you summoned a royal class demon with a low-level ritual. Either you're insanely lucky…" His hand brushed Kei's shoulder, making the boy flinch. "Or fated."

Bel's eyes narrowed. "Don't touch him."

Az didn't move his hand. "Why? Jealous?"

Kei was now sandwiched between a smirking flirt and a pissed-off ice prince. His face was red. His knees were weak. He'd gone from stressed college student to the lead in a BL harem anime in under 24 hours.

"I think I need to sit down," Kei muttered, dropping onto the edge of the bed.

Az sat beside him immediately, grinning. "I'd offer my lap, but I don't think you're ready for that."

"Shut up," Kei said, face burning.

Bel stayed by the door, glaring. "You're leaving. Now."

Az leaned back lazily. "Kei summoned me. Only he can dismiss me."

"Fine," Bel said flatly. Then turned to Kei. "Dismiss him."

Kei blinked. "Wait, what? You just got here and you're already trying to get rid of him?!"

"He's dangerous," Bel said. "You don't understand what he is."

Az looked genuinely offended. "Wow. Harsh. I haven't even kissed him yet."

"YOU'RE NOT KISSING ANYONE," Kei shouted, pointing at both of them. "There will be no kissing. No biting. No soul-binding. No demonic... anything!"

Az raised an eyebrow. "...Not even cuddling?"

Bel turned to leave, but paused at the door. "You're making a mistake, Kei. He'll consume you."

Kei crossed his arms. "You don't know me."

"I do." Bel's eyes softened just slightly. "We've met before. You just don't remember yet."

Then he vanished.

Literally vanished.

No smoke. No sound. Just gone.

Kei's jaw dropped. "What—what was that?!"

Az yawned. "Teleportation. Show-off."

Kei stood up, arms waving. "Okay, no. This is insane. First I summon a demon. Then another demon crashes in and says we've met before?! I'm just a normal guy! I work part-time at a coffee shop! I get B's in psych class! I'm not some... some demon magnet!"

Az tilted his head, watching him. "You really don't know, do you?"

Kei froze. "Know what?"

Az stood, walked toward him, slow, deliberate. "Your soul. It's... different. Sweet. Addictive. Like something ancient's buried in you."

Kei backed up until his back hit the wall. Az was inches away.

"And demons like me?" Az said softly, lips just near his ear. "We feel it."

"Y-You're too close," Kei whispered.

Az chuckled. "Then push me away."

Kei didn't.

Az's hand brushed his waist. His lips brushed his cheek, feather-light. Not quite a kiss. Not yet.

"Still think I'm the problem?" Az whispered.

Kei swallowed hard.

Then his phone buzzed in his pocket, shattering the moment.

[Text from Unknown Number]:

> "He touched you. I felt it."

Kei stared at the message.

Another buzz.

> "Stay away from Azriel. Or I'll come back."

He looked at Az. "...Your brother's stalking me through text?!"

Az blinked. "Wait. He has your number?!"

Kei groaned. "I need holy water, a therapist, and maybe a priest boyfriend."

Az grinned. "Too late. You got me instead."
