Chapter 20 - Kalluto — My Brother, I Like Eavesdropping the Most

It's foolish to flaunt your wealth!

Hasn't anyone told you to keep riches hidden?

Roy casually ignored the voice reminder he'd set for himself and smiled lazily.

"Ahaha~ off to mess around."

Killua shot him a suspicious glance, thinking for a moment…

That's right—his second brother, a blind man who doesn't follow orders and doesn't work…

How the hell could he have two billion Jenny in savings?

As expected, he's a liar.

However, what Killua didn't expect was—

Just after the bank text message arrived, Roy's phone rang again.

Nanako Takahashi, the editor from Jump Magazine who managed Pirate King, called immediately.

"Moshi moshi~~ Teacher Tianwei! This month's manuscript royalties just came in~"

"A total of seventy-five million Jenny! Did you receive it?"

Killua: "…"

His grandma drops!

"Roy, you LIED to me!"

"Damn it! You're that rich, and you still extorted me?!"

"You're not even human!" Killua howled in despair.

At the Jump headquarters, Nanako—elegant, long-haired, and confused—froze for a second and muttered,

"Eh? Is your real name Roy, Teacher Tianwei?"

"Who's Tianwei? I don't know him. You've got the wrong number."

Roy hung up quickly, visibly guilty.

Well… the act's over.

Might as well stop pretending.

He cleared his throat and said seriously to Killua,

"Mind your tone."

"Don't think you can weasel out of that 100,000 Jenny you owe me just by throwing a tantrum."

Roy knocked on the table and warned,

"I'm telling you—no one touches a single Jenny of mine."

"I'll give it to you tomorrow!" Killua shouted furiously, pushing back his chair and storming out.

"Gramps! I'm taking a job right now!"

"Roy! Remember this—one day I'll defeat you and take all your money!"

"That's the price for lying to me!"

Heh. Still trying to act cool, huh?

Kid doesn't even realize he's being watched…

Roy "watched" Killua leave, then, as Killua walked out of range, slyly plucked a very inconspicuous "paper doll" from the hem of his shirt.

The doll resembled Killua, clinging to his back like part of his clothes.

Invisible to the naked eye…

But they forgot—there's a blind man in the house.

Roy never sees people with his eyes.

Hide all you want—there's no escaping his Kenbunshoku Haki (Observation Haki)!

Toying with the paper doll between his fingers, Roy clearly sensed a stream of aura inside it.

But it was unstable—young, unrefined.

The caster clearly hadn't had the ability for long and lacked control.

"Kalluto's work."

In the Zoldyck family, only one person uses paper manipulation—

Kalluto, the youngest sibling, an Emitter-type Nen user.

Roy instantly thought of his little brother, the one Kikyo kept by her side all year round—dressed and raised like a girl.

Because of Kikyo, they never interacted much.

Their paths didn't cross.

But now that Kalluto reached out—whether because of Killua or not—

Roy decided to give the boy a little lesson.

Just because you wear women's clothes doesn't mean you should go around doing creepy stuff like spying and eavesdropping.

With a cold snort, Roy pinched the paper doll with one hand and flicked it with the other—

BOOM!

A burst of Armament Haki surged out and instantly shattered the aura attached to the doll.

That's right.

Thanks to inheriting Fujitora's Haki, Roy had become a natural "Nen Exorcist"—

No special talent required.

In the One Piece system, Haki doesn't just counter Devil Fruits; it can also defend against negative effects caused by them.

Naturally… it can purge Nen, too.

After all, both are manifestations of life energy.

"Back on Onigashima, Kaido said: 'Haki is the power that transcends everything.'

That wasn't a joke."

"My foolish little brother… I hope this pain teaches you something.

Be a better man."

With Roy's will, Armament Haki traveled down the aura thread back to the source…

Meanwhile…

In a secluded garden of the Zoldyck estate—

A pale boy in a dark purple kimono stood quietly, watering flowers.

A ribbon tied the robe around his waist. His doll-like face was expressionless.

Suddenly, his body stiffened.

The watering can tilted, soaking his white socks.

"What's going on? Where's my aura?"

Kalluto's violet eyes quivered.

He didn't even notice his socks were wet.

A shocking realization hit him—

He lost contact with the paper doll!

That's… impossible!

Something's wrong.

He turned to face west—

Toward Roy's courtyard.

Narrowing his purple eyes, he followed the aura trail…

Until he saw it.

Reflected in his spiritual perception was a phantom—

A figure with blind eyes, sitting calmly at a table.

When their gazes met—

That phantom smiled, half-lipped.

Then it pointed at Kalluto's forehead.

"Go."

"BOP!"

Kalluto yelped, flopping backwards into the flowerbed.

A big red bump bloomed on his smooth forehead.
