James appeared in the collider lab, a massive ring device roaring, energy beams tearing the sky. Tombstone adjusted controls, Lady Octopus's tentacles plugged into the system, Green Goblin and Prowler on guard.
"Your boss is dead," James said.
The lab froze. They turned, weapons aimed. "What?!" Lady Octopus gasped.
James's eyes blazed red. Zing! Heat vision swept through, exploding Green Goblin, melting Lady Octopus's tentacles, vaporizing Tombstone and Prowler in 0.1 seconds.
"Whoa!" Holland-Spider clung to the doorframe. "That's insane! Kryptonian? Superhuman? Eye lasers? Vibranium suit?"
Tobey-Spider covered his mouth. "Calm down, Little Peter."
Garfield-Spider, Gwen, Spider-Ham, and Noir arrived, stunned by the carnage. "You… killed them all…" Gwen's voice shook.
James approached the collider. "They die, or more Spider-Men do."
Holland-Spider broke free. "Still, that's brutal!"
James ignored him, pressing the collider's core. Yin-Yang Balance. Black-white energy stabilized the machine, silencing alarms. "Fixed."
The sky's black hole didn't close, spinning faster. "What's wrong?!" Garfield-Spider shouted. "It's stopped!"
James frowned. "Something's off."
"Aaah!" A figure fell from the hole, crashing—a black-red-suited Spider-Man. "What? I was fighting Mysterio!" More figures dropped: samurai Spider-Man, medieval Spider-Man, dinosaur Spider-Man, even a LEGO Spider-Man.
The lab filled with confused Spider-Men. "Where are we?" "So many Spider-Men?" "Who's throwing this party?"
A hyper Spider-Man bounced. "Spider-Man Alliance?!"
Gwen groaned. "Another chatterbox."
James's magic-enhanced eyes pierced the black hole, spotting higher-dimensional interference—artificial manipulation. A golden figure emerged—Spider-Man 2099, Miguel O'Hara, behind shimmering temporal rifts.
"All Spider-Men, return to your universes! The multiverse is collapsing!" His voice boomed.
Holland-Spider raised a hand. "Who are you?"
Miguel ignored him, glaring at James. "You don't belong in any Spider-Verse."
The lab hushed, all eyes on James. "Miguel O'Hara," James said. "Spider Society's leader."
"You know me?" Miguel's voice was icy. "You're more dangerous than I thought."
Holland-Spider chimed, "Spider Society? We have a club? Why wasn't I invited?"
"Not monitoring, maintaining," Miguel said, projecting fractured timelines. "Every Spider-Man faces Uncle Ben's death, Green Goblin's fight, loss of loved ones—nodes that shape us."
Tobey-Spider paled. "You ensure our tragedies happen?"
"It's the cost of multiversal stability," Miguel said.
James laughed. "Noble excuse." He pointed at the black hole. "If you're so perfect, why this mess?"
Miguel's projection flickered. A crisp voice rang out. "Because someone tampered with the protocols." A pink-suited Spider-Girl, May Parker, landed beside James. "May?!" Miguel snapped. "Why are you here?"
"I hacked your system," May said, showing data of someone manipulating Kingpin's collider. "The Spider Society's split. Someone's engineering tragedies."
Holland-Spider gasped. "Kingpin was a pawn?"
James faced Miguel's golden mask. "And you're just guard dogs."
Miguel's claws snapped out. "You don't get the consequences!" Bang! James vanished, punching through Miguel's mask, his cybernetic body exploding into metal and flesh, crashing into the console.
"Holy shit!" Holland-Spider gaped.
Gwen stared. "He one-shotted him?!"
Tobey stepped back. "Worse than Green Goblin."
James dusted off mechanical scraps. "Too much talk."
The black hole twisted violently, rifts spreading as if enraged.
