Chapter 5 - Executing the plan

Trevor grunted as he hoisted himself onto the school. He took a deep breath as he landed on the roof. The school loomed quiet, its window reflecting the fading light like watchful eyes.

"Hope this works." He muttered. "I'm starting to think I should have done it the easy way." He crouched low, heart thudding, scanning the rooftop as he spotted it- a square, metal vent rusted at the edges, humming faintly with the breath of the building.

He crept forward, trembling slightly as he unscrewed the bolts one by one. The vent cover groaned in protest but finally gave way. He peered into the darkness beyond.

"Well, here it goes," Trevor muttered.

The shaft was narrow lined with dust and cobwebs, but just wide enough. He took a deep breath, removed his school blazer and dropped it on the ground, and slid in feet first.

Inside, the air was stale and warm. The metal walls echoed every movement---his knees scraping, his palms pressing forward, his heavy breathing as he crawled. He crawled slowly, guided only by the faint glow of his phone screen. Every few feet, he paused to listen. Nothing but the low hum of the school ventilation system.

Trevor pressed forward, the metal walls of the vent narrowing slightly as he descended deeper into the labyrinthine airways. His knees ached, and sweat clung to his forehead, but he didn't stop. Every twist and turn brought him to his goal.

He passed over the science wing, the faint scent of chemicals wafting up to the grates. Then the library--silent and dark, its rows of books like sleeping sentinels. Finally, after what felt like an eternity of crawling, he reached a junction where the air grew cooler and the hum of overhead lights buzzed louder.

He paused, peering through a small grate below him. Fluorescent lights spilled into a tiled room. Mirrors lined one wall, and a row of sinks gleamed beneath them. A sign on the door read: Staff Only.

He had reached the teacher's bathroom.

He adjusted his position, careful not to rattle the vent. Jayden must be inside one of the stalls. Obviously, he had started his 'activity'. He had to get down there and video him. It was time for payback and this was only the beginning. He was going to make sure that he ruined him completely.

"System, I need a screwdriver." He said in his mind.

[Creating screwdriver.....]

[Screwdriver created!]

[Check your pocket.]

Trevor checked his right pocket. Sure enough, he felt something. He put his hands into his pockets and brought out the screwdriver. One by one he loosened the screws holding the grate in place. His heart pounded. If anyone walked in now...

[Shutting down all CCTV cameras in the bathroom....]

[Bathroom cameras deactivated!]

[You have exactly 15 minutes before it is activated again.]

Trevor gave a sigh of relief. That was all, the time he needed. He just hoped nobody would come inside. The final crew dropped silently into the vent. Trevor pushed the grate forward and slowly lowered himself into the bathroom, shoes landing softly on the tile.

"Uh, that's it."

That was the first thing Trevor heard as he was inside the bathroom.

"Don't stop, baby." The voice grunted in the stall near Trevor.

Trevor frowned in disgust. That was Jayden's voice. No doubt about that. So disgusting. He was truly a pig. It wasn't bad doing that shit in the comfort of your home, but to do it in school in the teacher's bathroom was wrong on so many levels.

What was he thinking? And judging by the frequent bathroom breaks Trevor had noticed him doing. There wasn't a doubt that this was the ritual he loved doing in here.

Right now, he was jerking off to himself and he didn't know he was here.

Trevor immediately positioned his phone at an angle over the stall. Thanks to the [Silent Breeze] skill he had. He won't be noticed. And Jayden was too preoccupied to even notice.

Five minutes had passed. Trevor recorded Jayden's secret act.

Trevor did his best not to curse as he heard Jayden's grunts and groans.

[You have three minutes until the CCTV cameras activate.]

Trevor saw the notification and immediately retracted the phone. His arm was stiff from stretching it for so long. He placed the phone back into his school pocket.

That was done.

He breathed a sigh of relief. Jayden was still jerking away, grunting and groaning, oblivious that something had happened. Then he heard it.

Footsteps.

Not distant ones echoing down the hallway. No---these were close. Sharp. Purposeful. Coming into the bathroom.

Trevor's eyes widened. He hadn't closed the vent.

He spun around, heart hammering, and darted back to the wall, where the vent opening yawned above the mop sink. He leapt, grabbing the edge, and hoisted himself up with a grunt. His knees scraped against the metal as he scrambled inside, the narrow shaft groaning under his weight.

The footsteps grew louder. The bathroom door creaked open.

Trevor didn't look back. He twisted his body, pulling the vent cover toward him. It was still hanging by one screw---- thanks God. He slid it into place just as the sound of shoes echoed on the tile below.

Trevor exhaled silently, sweat dripping down his temple.

He held his breath as the footsteps exited the bathroom and the doors clicked shut.

Trevor didn't move for a full minute. His mu

scles ached, his heart still racing. Then, slowly, he began crawling backward through the shaft, retracing his path towards the rooftop. Every creak of metal felt deafening. Every echo felt a threat.

When he finally reached the exit vent above the school, he pushed it open and climbed above.

He had done it.

He breathed a sigh of relief as the interface opened up before him.

[The host has completed the revenge plan!]

[Congratulations!]

[Processing reward....

[Receiving Reward!]

[+ 10 to all stats! A gold watch! IPhone 15 Pro Max]

Trevor stared at the rewards. They weren't half bad. He needed the stats and he was going to get a gold watch and a new iPhone.

This system was awesome. He grabbed his blazer and walked out of the entrance to the rooftops and into the school hallway then proceeded to his class. They were having classes right now.

He walked into the class. Immediately, faces stared at him as he stood.

Mr. Adebayo, the history teacher, frowned at him. "Trevor, " he said. "Care to explain why you're late for class?"

"I'm sorry," Trevor replied. "I was in the bathroom doing... 'business'"

A few students snickered, including Jenna and May, but Trevor paid them no heed. Mr. Adebayo narrowed his eyes, clearly unconvinced, but too tired to argue.

"Just take your seat." He barked.

Trevor grinned and slid his body into his seat.

Jayden was still out jerking away.

He was back in class getting ready to deal him a savage blow.
