All smile vanished immediately.
She grabbed Sylene by the wrist and led him quickly toward the back of the potion shop, into a small room with a simple bed. This was where she examined patients when she needed privacy—where she observed symptoms before brewing potions tailored to their condition.
Limou and Regulus watched in confusion from the doorway. But before they could linger, Iln—still stationed at the front of the shop—glanced back at them, his expression openly questioning, as if silently asking what was going on. But he is busy with his preparation, he'd ask what happened after he was done.
Why was Hilda bringing Sylene in there?
"Lie down, young man," Hilda ordered, already preparing her notes. "Now tell me. What symptoms do you have? Gransma will help you however she can."
Sylene nodded, trusting Hilda completely, "My heart races," Sylene said quietly.
"Sometimes I suddenly feel hot. My face turns red."
