Alden walked beside Melchior in silence.
He kept sneaking glances at his cousin, but—predictably—said nothing.
Melchior pretended not to notice. He rubbed a hand over his face, refusing to acknowledge the faint heat blooming across his cheeks.
"…Did the heater break or something?" he muttered under his breath. "Why does it feel a bit hot here?"
Alden stared at him with pure judgment. Then, without warning, he began singing under his breath:
"Lonely, I'm Mr. Lonely, I have nobody… all on my own~"
Melchior's eye twitched, annoyed. "Why are you singing?"
"Because," Alden sighed dramatically, "you're abandoning your poor brother. Do you have any idea who I'm supposed to bring as my partner to the peace celebration? Hm? I can't find anyone here, I know no one here."
"…Go look on your own," Melchior said flatly. "Pick Yuna. Or Lila. Or even Regulus."
