Sharing abilities meant that as long as his clone learned various magical spells in the Harry Potter world, his original self in the Marvel world could also use them.
Although he didn't have a wand in the Marvel world, that was of little consequence. He understood that not everyone in the Harry Potter world used wands to cast spells. Advanced wizards could do so without a wand, and wizards in Africa still used traditional hand gestures. Wands were simply faster and more effective, which is why most wizards chose to use them. Perhaps he could even learn to craft a wand himself later. The Marvel world was full of objects with special powers, so finding suitable materials for a wand might not be impossible.
While Harry Potter's magic wasn't particularly destructive, it was highly functional, and some spells even seemed to touch upon very advanced principles. If he could learn Apparition, at least in the Marvel world, he could escape most enemies even if he couldn't defeat them.
"But before that, I need to figure out how to properly eliminate that dark wizard!"
Killing someone was something George, in his previous life, wouldn't have dared to do. In his previous life, he was merely an office worker. He'd never killed anyone, not even a chicken. When he went to the supermarket, he'd only buy pre-cooked chickens. However, in this life, after just three months, he'd already become accustomed to it. In those three months, he'd killed twelve people in real combat.
The lab didn't want to keep useless people. As a mutant trained to become a killer, besides honing his abilities, he needed to learn how to kill. The fastest way to achieve this was through combat. He had no choice because, in combat, if he didn't kill, he'd be killed. This was one of the reasons he desperately wanted to escape the lab. While he wasn't entirely philanthropic, he had his limits and didn't want to harm innocent people.
He could choose to report the Dark wizard. At this point, reporting him to the Ministry of Magic was highly likely to succeed. He and the Dark wizard lived in Knockturn Alley, giving him easy access to the Aurors. Dora, however, was too fearful to do that. Having grown up tormented by Dark wizards, her fear was deeply ingrained, leading her to choose suicide over resistance.
However, this could have consequences. If the Aurors didn't act in time, the Dark wizard might escape with his wealth and seek revenge later. If George could kill the Dark wizard without leaving a trace, he would not only eliminate the threat but also inherit the Dark wizard's entire estate. Through Dora's memories, he knew the Dark wizard had no living relatives. With his death, George, as the adopted son, would be the sole heir.
He wasn't entirely without confidence. First, the Dark wizard wouldn't expect an attack from him. In the Dark wizard's eyes, Dora was a timid child without a wand or any spells. Second, George had experience using his ability to manipulate blades to single-handedly defeat ordinary mercenaries. A wizard's reaction time wouldn't be much faster than an average person's if caught off guard; at most, they might possess magical defenses.
Finally, since he wasn't using magic and didn't have a wand, the chances of being discovered by the Aurors were minimal. Of course, there was a risk of failure, but wealth and honor often require taking risks. If this plan succeeded, he would not only have a house in this world but also a substantial fortune, enough for him to concentrate on studying and learning magic in the early stages. As far as he knew, Dark wizards had amassed a lot of money selling various banned potions over the years.
"You got up half an hour late today. Do you want me to use the Transfiguration Charm again, turn you into a mouse, and hang you over a candle to roast?"
Just as George was contemplating, the door suddenly opened, and a bald old man in black wizard robes looked at George with eyes as cold as a snake.
"Excuse me, Mr. Morton, I'll be right there."
George imitated Dora's usual fearful expression and quickly got up and dressed.
Seeing this, the bald old wizard narrowed his eyes and said, "Don't worry, little Dora. Although I've turned down your Hogwarts offer, as long as you serve me well as before, I will teach you some powerful magic, just as good as going to Hogwarts."
"Powerful magic, probably things like cleaning and cooking," George muttered to himself, but outwardly maintained a submissive demeanor.
Leaving the small room, the sun had just risen, around 6:30 in the morning. "It's night in Marvel, day here, so this is quite convenient." He still felt a bit strange controlling two bodies simultaneously, but sleeping at night and moving during the day was a good time to adjust.
After leaving the small room downstairs, following Dora's memory, he began preparing breakfast for the old wizard, cleaning the shop, and standing by the door to solicit customers, as usual. The potion shop in Knockturn Alley didn't have many normal customers. Most wizards wouldn't go to Knockturn Alley to buy potions; there were more legitimate potion shops in Diagon Alley. Most of the people who came here to buy potions were Dark wizards or those who didn't quite follow the Ministry of Magic's laws. The Ministry generally turned a blind eye to such behavior.
Almost all wizards knew what went on in Knockturn Alley, so how could the Ministry not know? To George, this was perfectly normal. Rather than letting Dark wizards operate in secret, it was better to leave Knockturn Alley open. That way, if something went wrong, there would be a trail to follow. Moreover, many of the wizarding world's upper echelons needed Knockturn Alley. Lucius Malfoy, a prominent figure in the wizarding world, would occasionally sell his concocted illegal potions and magical items there for cash.
This went on until around four in the afternoon when George finally found the right opportunity to act.
"I'm going to brew a Madness Potion. Close the shop for now and stand guard at the door. Don't let anyone disturb me, or I'll make you suffer!"
The old wizard carefully removed precious magical herbs from several boxes and glared at George fiercely. George immediately lowered his head, his body trembling as he replied, "Yes, yes, I will definitely not let anyone disturb you."
The old wizard's words were not idle threats. Dora's negligence had previously caused the old wizard to be disturbed by a customer while brewing a potion, resulting in a failed potion. The wizard then tortured Dora with dark magic all night, nearly killing her.
However, this presented George with a golden opportunity to eliminate the old wizard. From what he had learned from Dora's memories, the Madness Potion was a high-level concoction that, when ingested, caused complete mental disorder, turning a person into a madman. While this potion was extremely valuable, its preparation was incredibly challenging and dangerous. If mishandled, it could easily cause an explosion, resulting in injury or even death.
Potion-making, especially high-level potions, is inherently dangerous, with wizards dying accidentally while brewing almost every year. This is one reason why high-level potions are so expensive and skilled potion makers so rare in the wizarding world. Seeing the old wizard enter the specialized potion-making shed in the backyard, George immediately closed the shop door and tiptoed to the window next to it, peeking in.
The old wizard took out herbs like alioth, venomous tentacles, lacewings, and two-headed snake gallbladders, processing them one by one before adding them to the cauldron for brewing. The old wizard didn't teach Dora any magic, but he taught her a great deal about herbology and potions to help her better serve customers. Based on Dora's memories, George knew this stage of brewing a potion was the most prone to problems. This was because the wizard had to concentrate on casting the corresponding spell and constantly input magical energy to blend the potion.
"Explode!"
After enduring for a full hour and seeing the old wizard finally reach the brewing stage, George immediately activated his power, causing the candlestick on the table to collapse unexpectedly, knocking over the brewing cauldron. The paste-like potion immediately spilled onto the table, mixing with the remaining herbs.
"Oh no!" the old wizard quickly stopped brewing, cold sweat forming on his forehead. He tried to cast a defensive spell, but as soon as he raised his wand, the mushy potion exploded with a bang. The old wizard, struck head-on, was sent flying, slamming hard against the shed's wall before falling and spitting out mouthfuls of blood.
"Wizards' bodies are truly much stronger than those of ordinary humans," George marveled, seeing the seventy- or eighty-year-old wizard, battered but still alive. A normal person, even a young and middle-aged man, would have been doomed if struck like that. This wasn't a simple explosion but the result of a failed potion, laced with magical backlash and a riot of magical energy. It wasn't as simple as it seemed.
"Then I'll give you another hard one!"
Veins throbbed on George's forehead as he unleashed all his powers on the chandelier above the shed. Having acquired wizard blood, he discovered that his mutant abilities had significantly improved. Previously, he could only control ten kilograms, but now, at full strength, he could handle at least fifty. If fully developed, he would undoubtedly be able to exceed his original limit of one hundred kilograms.
The chandelier, already shaky from the explosion, instantly fell from the roof under George's full control, piercing the face of the old wizard who hadn't reacted yet. "Ah!" A scream rang out as the chandelier, under the influence of George's power, pierced directly through the old wizard's eyes and into his brain.
With the physique of a normal wizard, even if the body is split, that is, missing arms and legs, as long as it doesn't die immediately, it can be saved with healing magic and potions, and even the arms and legs can be completely reattached. But if the brain is directly pierced like this, then apart from beings of Voldemort's level, few ordinary wizards can survive.
