Chapter 228 - 218

Riruka had a slender figure, giving her an elegant and attractive presence. With pink hair, matching pink eyes, a waist so slim it could be encircled by one hand, and a sharp tsundere personality, she had a charm that was hard to ignore.

"I'm back!" she called as she stepped into the dimly lit room.

The lighting was so poor that Riruka, already somewhat nearsighted, couldn't make out the faces of those inside.

Ginjo Kūgo glanced at her and spoke evenly. "You came back faster than I thought… did you find it?"

"Of course I found it! Who do you think I am?" Riruka flicked one of her twin ponytails with pride.

"It's too dark here, turn on the light. I can't see anything clearly," she complained.

"We can all see clearly, but you can't. You should wear glasses," Ginjo remarked.

"I hate glasses! And I can't use contact lenses either. My eyes get too dry because they're too big." She pointed at her widened pink eyes for emphasis.

"And who's sitting there?" Riruka bent forward with her hands on her waist, stretching her neck and squinting at Yuta. She could only see a blurred outline of his figure.

"Ah… it's Yuta-san?" Inoue Orihime noticed him first and her tone carried immediate recognition.

When Orihime realized who it was, her face lit up with genuine joy. She hadn't seen Yuta in what felt like a long time, and his presence here was a surprise she welcomed.

"Eh? Yuta?" Riruka repeated after hearing Orihime's words. She chewed on the unfamiliar name, found nothing in her memory, and dismissed it with little care. "So you know each other?" she asked with a faint note of curiosity before tilting back into her usual tone of complaint.

Although Yuta had defeated Aizen Sōsuke, that event had taken place in Soul Society. For Ginjo and his group, this was the first direct encounter with him.

Orihime explained quickly. "Yuta-san… he is also a student at our school."

"Ginjo, turn on the light so I can see this person's face properly!" Riruka demanded loudly, inching closer toward Yuta.

Ginjo ignored her request entirely.

"Tch! You're ignoring me? Fine! I'll do it myself."

Riruka fumbled along the wall until she located a flashlight instead of the switch. With a sharp click, the beam cut through the darkness and landed squarely on Yuta, illuminating him like a spotlight.

The moment Riruka properly saw him, her eyes widened with disbelief. Her breath caught and she bent forward more and more without realizing it, staring directly at Yuta.

The sight overwhelmed her. "This guy… he's… so handsome."

Her knees weakened and she stumbled briefly, falling onto the ground with surprise.

Yuta glanced at her but felt no particular response. He noted her reaction but didn't dwell on it.

Riruka, however, had always given into her impulses for things she liked. She collected dolls on sight without hesitation, and now that same instinct was turning toward Yuta.

"Are you alright?" Yuta asked neutrally.

"N-no… it's fine." Riruka looked away quickly, her cheeks faintly red with embarrassment.

Orihime settled onto the sofa beside Yuta. "By the way, Yuta-san, what made you come here?"

Ginjo gave a short, sharp laugh. "I didn't expect your real name to be Yuta and not Jiuhua. Hiding your identity like that… are you working with some ulterior motive?"

"In that case, I may as well tell you the truth," Yuta said with a steady sigh. He had intended to wait longer, but he saw no point in delaying further.

Riruka finally located the actual switch and flicked on the lights, filling the room with brightness. Her gaze drifted repeatedly toward Yuta's profile, her thoughts wandering toward how she might have him among her carefully kept things.

In the next second, Yuta created a black garganta in the air. From its hollow darkness stepped Tsukishima Shūkurō.

Everyone present froze at the sudden appearance.

Ginjo's eyes narrowed immediately, expression rigid as if confronted by a mortal threat. "Tsukishima… why are you here?"

"I was the one who brought him here," Yuta said, rising from the sofa.

"What?" Ginjo blurted in disbelief.

He could not understand the nature of Yuta's ability. To forcibly pull Tsukishima into their presence-did that suggest spatial manipulation on top of everything else?

Tsukishima himself showed minimal outward reaction despite his surprise. His calm expression remained intact, though the sudden shift was jarring even for him.

"Ginjo. I didn't expect to see you again," Tsukishima said flatly.

Ginjo's reply was wordless-he simply tightened his grip on the silver cross pendant resting against his chest.

"You should remember my ability, Ginjo," Tsukishima continued with quiet confidence. "You can't win against me." He produced a bookmark from his book. Fullbring light flared across it, transforming the paper into a shining white blade.

The other Fullbringers instinctively reached for their own focus items, unsettled by the appearance of Tsukishima's weapon.

Yuta cut the tension with his voice. "Tsukishima Shūkurō, end the effect of your Book of the End. Release them and let them return to their original state. After that, I will tell you everything."

Tsukishima's eyes sharpened in shock at Yuta's words.

How did he know not only the name of his Fullbring but also its specific function and that undoing it was possible with a second strike? Could Yuta's power see through the inner mechanics of his ability?

Saying nothing further, Tsukishima moved suddenly-his blade thrust forward with speed and precision toward Yuta's chest.

Yuta did not move to avoid it.

With a sharp sound, the blade pierced through him and blood spattered from the wound.
