The six beams of light formed by the Six-Rod Light Prison on Yuta's body were breaking down into basic spirit particles, disintegrating bit by bit.
[You attempt to unlock the Six-Rod Light Prison and realize "the spirit particles' complete subservience."]
With a single thought, Yuta gathered the scattered particles into his outstretched right hand.
More than that-even the surrounding buildings began decomposing under his "absolute subordination," turning into spirit particles that floated to him as well.
An overwhelming burst of spiritual pressure exploded out from his body.
Yuta's form was changing visibly too. His deep black pupils slowly turned blue-the blue representing spiritual sovereignty.
Radiant. Piercing. Impossible to look away from.
Kyoraku Shunsui and Hitsugaya Toshiro widened their eyes in disbelief. They knew better than anyone what this scene truly represented.
Everything in Soul Society was formed from spirit particles.
And Yuta wasn't borrowing them from the atmosphere like traditional Quincy techniques. He was tearing down fixed matter built from spirit particles and absorbing it directly.
It went beyond Quincy method. It was control over the spirit particle itself.
As Kyoraku Shunsui felt the ground break apart beneath his feet, turning to glowing dust pulled toward Yuta's hand, he couldn't help but think-
Had he misunderstood everything?
He had assumed the large pit was caused by Yuta's sheer spiritual pressure. Now it became clear: Yuta wasn't only drawing on ambient spiritual power. He was also consuming solid matter itself to reinforce his pressure.
Kyoraku broke into cold sweat as realization settled in:
Yuta was terrifying.
He released his own spiritual pressure and shattered the Light Prison binding him.
"Stop! Stop! Stop!"
"Lets not fight anymore!"
His shout rang out across the space, desperate and loud.
"I surrender! If we keep fighting, I'll lose!"
He had originally only wanted to test Yuta's strength. He had not been prepared for what he found instead.
Yuta's pupils remained blue, his tone dipped in cold detachment.
"Oh? Is that all Seireitei's captain has?"
"You haven't used your Bankai at all. I was hoping to see it."
Kyoraku smiled bitterly.
"To tell you the truth, this whole confrontation... was Seireitei's way of testing you."
"And I'd say you passed with flying colors."
Yuta's eyes gradually dimmed-the blue vanishing back into shadowed black.
As his spiritual pressure receded, he noticed something else. His mind was changing alongside his strength. The timid version of himself from before-the one who would've felt rage or fear at being attacked out of nowhere by Kyoraku's blade-that part no longer held power inside him.
Now all he could feel was disappointment at how weak those attacks seemed. He wanted to see Bankai firsthand-to witness what kind of force someone like Kyoraku could bring once serious.
He loosened his right palm and dispersed the gathered sphere of spiritual energy. With a muffled boom, the released energy tore through the air like wind, sending cloth and hair whipping around all three of them.
"But I haven't gotten my answer," Shunsui said.. "Who are you?"
"You can use both Quincy and Shinigami techniques at once."
Kyoraku gave a lazy shrug-but kept his eyes serious under the brim of his hat.
"My name is Yuta," he answered evenly. "Just a commoner from Rukongai who happens to pick things up quickly."
"'Pick things up quickly,' he says…" Kyoraku's mouth tightened into a strained line. That wasn't something you could write off as simple understanding.
Yuta was the first person to ever manipulate Quincy techniques while possessing a Shinigami body.
Even assuming he had Quincy blood in him-which was still unproven-it would have been strange enough. Yet that alone couldn't explain how he'd broken through Hado #61 simply from observation when he hadn't learned it formally or entered the Seireitei at all before today.
That wasn't dual bloodline talent. That was something else entirely-
Kyoraku contained the heavy sigh pressing in his throat and decided to shift tone instead.
"My name is Kyoraku Shunsui, and this boy is Hitsugaya Toshiro."
"What do you plan to do from now on?"
Yuta touched his chin while thinking. He hadn't planned anything specific-but Seireitei had always been in his sights. As long as he was in Soul Society, exploring it made sense... and gaining strength along the way wouldn't hurt either.
When Yuta remained silent, Shunsui offered,
"If you've got no plans, why don't you come meet the captain with me? I'm sure any conditions can be negotiated."
He might call old man Yamamoto "old man" behind his back-but in front of others, respect mattered.
Besides, with power like this, Gotei 13 had every reason to recruit Yuta directly.
Yuta nodded once toward him and replied flatly,
"Let's go. I want to see what Seireitei looks like."
