Before anyone could even react, Naruto's Bijuu Bomb Rasengan had already slammed into Sasuke's body. The impact hurled him across the arena, his body skidding violently against the ground until he finally came to a halt far in the distance.
But that was only the beginning.
The moment Sasuke stopped, the Kyuubi's chakra avatar appeared beside him. With jaws wide open, it unleashed a Bijuu Bomb point-blank. Unlike the original, massive Bijuu Bombs that required time to charge, this was different—it was a clone born of Nine-Tails' chakra itself, enhanced by the God Tree's blessing. The attack was instantaneous. No warning. No time to react.
It was terrifying.
This was a rare effect triggered only when Naruto and the Nine-Tails fought in perfect sync. Each time Naruto used his Bijuu Bomb Rasengan, there was a chance for Kurama's chakra clone to instantly unleash its own Bijuu Bomb. And today, fate had decided Sasuke would be on the receiving end.
Two consecutive devastating strikes left Sasuke broken. His Susanoo shattered, the scales of Sage Mode flaked away, and his transformation collapsed.
Now he stood as he had at the very start—just Sasuke.
One hand pressed against the dirt, the other clutching tightly at his Kusanagi sword. He tried to rise several times, but his strength betrayed him. At last, blood spilled from his lips, staining the blade before dripping into the soil.
Sasuke was gravely injured. If it were anyone else, they would already be dead. The fact that he still drew breath was a miracle—and proof of his iron will.
From the edge of the field, Tsunade frowned, her healer's instinct screaming at her. "If this continues, he'll die." Her hands twitched, ready to summon Katsuyu and intervene.
But then, against all reason, Sasuke staggered to his feet. His body trembled, yet he refused to fall.
He could not lose here. Not to Naruto. Not in front of everyone.
His determination burned brighter than his wounds.
Even Tsunade hesitated, pausing her steps. Naruto had shown mercy—he had avoided Sasuke's vital points. But Sasuke's resolve forced him upright, no matter the cost.
And then something changed.
His Mangekyo Sharingan began to spin wildly, his chakra surging back at an unnatural rate. Blue energy enveloped him in waves, so intense it shimmered visibly around his body.
He was trying to awaken Susanoo once more—forcing it open through sheer willpower.
The crowd gasped in disbelief.
"How… how does he still have chakra?"
"It's impossible!"
Even Itachi, standing silently in the shadows, clenched his fists. He knew this feeling all too well—pushing beyond the brink of death, awakening strength at the cost of one's own body. It was a curse he carried, and now his younger brother was walking the same path.
And Sasuke… refused to let go.
The blue flames of chakra thickened, swelling into the shape of something terrifying.
He would fight on, even if it destroyed him.
