Chapter 111: The Weakest Titled Douluo is Born; Ning Fengzhi Vomits Blood
At the same time, Bone Douluo's spirit power visibly declined, dropping from level 94 all the way down to level 91 before his aura finally stabilized. Jing Ni's attack had not only crippled his leg but had also depleted over ten percent of his spirit power, making it impossible for him to advance any further in his lifetime.
"Qin Xuan, you said you wouldn't kill Uncle Gu!" Ning Fengzhi shouted, unable to control his anger.
"Did I kill him? Isn't he still alive?" Qin Xuan shrugged, then playfully chided his wife. "My dear, you really are something. I wanted you to cripple one of his eyes, not one of his legs."
"Oh, I made a mistake," Jing Ni said mischievously, winking at him.
"Ah!" Another scream rang out as Jing Ni's longsword plucked out one of Gu Rong's eyeballs. He lay on the ground, writhing in agony.
"Uncle Gu!" Ning Fengzhi's heart was filled with grief. He cast a healing light on Bone Douluo while glaring at Qin Xuan with bloodshot, murderous eyes.
"Alright," Qin Xuan said, "from now on, the grievances between me and the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan are settled. Elder Ju, Elder Ghost, you two may continue to preside over the preliminaries."
He ignored Ning Fengzhi's murderous gaze, scooped Jing Ni up by the waist, and leaped onto his flying sword, quickly disappearing from sight.
"Respectfully seeing off the Second High Priest and the Second Majesty," Chrysanthemum Douluo responded, then gloated as he looked at the pathetic scene. "Clan Master Ning, One-Eyed Dragon… oh no, Crippled Dragon… my apologies, Complete Douluo, please take your seat."
"You—!" Ning Fengzhi could no longer hold it in and a mouthful of old blood spurted out, a result of sheer anger. Bone Douluo, infuriated, fainted on the spot.
This competition had cost their clan dearly. Not only had they failed to unite the Upper Three Clans, but they had also incurred the hatred of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan. The greatest loss was Bone Douluo. Although still a Titled Douluo, he had lost a leg and an eye. He would now be known as the weakest Titled Douluo.
"Clan Master!" Sword Douluo stepped forward, supporting Ning Fengzhi and picking up Gu Rong. "Let's go." They had suffered such a humiliating insult; he had no face to remain.
Just as he was about to leave, Qin Xuan's demonic voice echoed in his ears: "Oh, right. Don't try to leave in a huff before the competition. The High Priest might complain about me. I don't mind, but if my wife finds out, she might secretly go to the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan overnight."
Qin Xuan! Ning Fengzhi's teeth were practically grinding to dust. "No, Uncle Jian, we can't leave yet," he forced out. "We absolutely cannot let the Spirit Masters of the world look down on us. We must participate."
After he finished speaking, he clutched his chest, gasped, and spewed out another mouthful of blood. His vision went black, and he fainted.
"Hahahaha!" Golden Crocodile Douluo's wild laughter echoed across the Supreme Pontiff Palace square. "To make the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan suffer such a great loss! I find myself liking this boy Xuan'er more and more."
The other High Priests and Elders were also very happy. Even Qian Xunji was no exception. Today, Qin Xuan had truly exacted a great deal of vengeance for Spirit Hall.
"Alright, this matter ends here," Qian Daoliu said, somewhat exasperated. Qin Xuan's conduct today had changed his perception. Such ruthless tactics were precisely what a leader needed. He was somewhat moved by Golden Crocodile's suggestion to make him the successor, but he was a man who played things safe. Until his own son became a High Priest, he would not make any changes.
The crowd dispersed, leaving only Bibi Dong, who stared blankly in the direction Qin Xuan had departed.
"Disciple!" Qian Xunji called out, his expression turning cold.
"Oh. Coming, Teacher," she replied, snapping out of her trance. She took another deep look at the Elder Palace, then followed him back to the Supreme Pontiff Palace.
