As soon as Zebra finished speaking, he felt his entire body suddenly enveloped by a terrifying chakra. The world in front of him turned scarlet.
His limbs refused to move, and it felt like his body was bound by something unseen.
"This is…"
"Tsukuyomi!?"
"Saya! Don't forget who trained you into who you are today!"
"How dare you use Tsukuyomi on me!?"
Pfft!
The sound of a ninja sword piercing flesh echoed through the illusion space.
Zebra's nerves screamed in pain, the agony intensified a hundredfold. Time itself slowed. He saw the blade crawling through his chest, second by second, dragging on endlessly.
But when he snapped out of it—
—it had only been a few seconds.
"Tsukuyomi?"
"That's not my Mangekyō technique."
"This is just an illusion space I casually created with my pupil power."
Hikaru, holding a ninja blade, answered coldly.
He casually pulled the blade from Zebra's chest.
Yet to Zebra, everything still moved like molasses, each breath full of agony.
Zebra had no strength left to struggle or shout. He was just panting, drenched in cold sweat.
"But that's all you have…" Zebra growled weakly. "Even if I lose to you…"
"You alone can't stop the rest of the Uchiha!"
Zebra's defiance exploded with madness.
"You're wrong. Lord Hikaru isn't alone."
"It's not just him—there's also me."
Uchiha saya stepped forward, took the sword from Hikaru hand, and stabbed Zebra repeatedly.
But she didn't stop there.
She used clamps, iron whips, pepper water, salt water—all the tortures she had once endured were now returned to their source.
The illusion ended.
Zebra's eyes rolled back as he foamed at the mouth. His body twitched on the ground, unconscious, muttering the same line over and over:
"Kill you… Uchiha Hikaru… I will definitely kill you…"
Chili immediately stepped forward, blocking Hikaru path, trembling as she tried to mediate.
"Uchiha Hikaru… that was just a fleeting thought he had."
"Saya…"
"No. From this moment forward, Uchiha saya has nothing to do with our clan."
"Take her away."
"We Uchiha… can't afford any more casualties."
"That's enough. Let us go…"
After saying that, Chili knelt down, pressing her forehead to the ground, eyes shut tightly.
Hikaru looked at her shaking body for a moment—whether it was from fear or humiliation, he didn't know.
He turned away silently, reached out, and held Hikaru's hand.
"Your survival has nothing to do with me."
"I don't belong here."
He threw a scroll in front of Chili as he left.
"A little compensation. Even if I don't belong here… I am still Uchiha."
Then, he lifted Uchiha Saya into a princess carry and vanished into the night.
Once Hikaru presence was gone, Chili rushed to lift the twitching Zebra, and picked up the scroll.
Back at her home, Chili offered incense before the ancestral hall in memory of her father, the former Clan Leader, and then returned to her room.
She slowly opened the scroll left by Hikaru.
In an instant, over a dozen colorful scrolls poured out.
Puzzled, she opened them one by one.
What she saw filled her heart with joy.
Each scroll recorded an A-rank ninjutsu—a treasure trove of power. During the Warring States Era, many of these techniques hadn't even been invented yet.
The scrolls, colored by nature chakra, were divided into five types—Fire, Lightning, Water, Earth, and Wind.
Of these, five were Fire Style, four were Lightning Style.
Among the Uchiha, mastery of Fire and Lightning was the most common.
If the clan learned all of these, their collective strength would skyrocket.
There was even a forbidden Lightning technique—
A combination of Fire Style to create storm clouds, followed by Lightning Release to call down divine thunder from the heavens.
This jutsu was made for war. Mass-scale Fire Release would often lead to rainfall.
And once this technique was mastered, it would be more terrifying in battle than even Susanoo.
A thunder beast shaped like a Kirin would descend from the clouds, bringing judgment from the sky.
Its name: Lightning Style: Kirin!
As she was about to re-seal the scrolls, Chili noticed something strange.
She channeled more chakra into the scroll.
Suddenly, hidden characters began to appear—tiny, barely visible.
She couldn't decipher them at first, but something about the shapes reminded her of the Uchiha clan's ancestral stone tablet in the Naka Shrine.
With a deep breath, she activated her Mangekyō Sharingan.
Then—she saw it:
[The Naka Shrine's stone tablet was altered. The final prophecy is a lie.]
[Fuse the Mangekyō of blood relatives to gain Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan.]
[Even without Mangekyō, those who once awakened it can still manifest Susanoo.]
[Combine Uchiha eyes and Senju vitality to reach eternal light.]
[Special individuals may evolve the Eternal Eye into the Rinnegan through Sage energy.]
Each line of text shattered the foundation of what she thought was truth.
But then she remembered the overwhelming power of Hikaru.
If he had wanted, he could've wiped out every last Uchiha here.
Which meant… this wasn't a trick. This was real.
Her heart pounded.
These scrolls—this knowledge—it could raise the clan higher than any one shinobi ever could.
Saya, once seen as a tool… was only temporary strength.
But this…
This was a legacy.
Hikaru left them behind for a reason—perhaps to spark a new hope.
After all…
Reviving a single branch doesn't restore the World Tree.
To protect the world from the threat of the Ōtsutsuki, every timeline needed a chance at survival.
