Uchiha Hikaru looked at Saya standing in front of him. At the same time, he could sense two familiar chakras approaching—there was no doubt. It had to be Uchiha Zebra and Zhili.
He slowly raised his hand, placing his palm gently on Saya's head, fingers brushing through her hair.
"My order is this... tell me your name."
Saya felt the warmth on her head. Her eyes trembled, unfocused.
"Name…?"
"I don't have a name. The clan called me 'Nameless.'"
"You may call me that, sir."
Hikaru shook his head softly.
"I know. I was asking for the name your parents gave you."
"Your real name."
"...Have you forgotten?"
The memory Saya had sealed deep within her heart began to loosen, bit by bit. The bindings shattered like brittle ice.
Her parents' smiles, the joy in their voices—she couldn't recall their faces clearly anymore, but the warmth lingered in her soul.
"From now on, you are Uchiha saya."
"You are the hope of both of us. You are our light."
"I hope you'll grow strong, and one day, use your light to guide all your clansmen..."
Saya's lips began to tremble. Her eyes, once dim and dull, lit up faintly.
"Uchiha... Saya..."
"Sir... my name is Uchiha Saya!"
Her emotions surged forth in an unstoppable tide. Aside from her deceased parents, the man before her was the only one who had ever made her feel warm and alive.
Years of cold, damp prison had turned fear into numb silence... but now, Hikaru was like sunlight piercing the dark (。•́︿•̀。)
Just then, a cruel, familiar voice cut through the air behind her.
"Uchiha Renjiro... I never thought you'd hide it so well."
"It's not the two-tomoe Sharingan... that's the Mangekyō, isn't it?"
Saya immediately ducked behind Hikaru, clutching the edge of his robe with both hands. Her face was still expressionless, but tears streamed silently down her cheeks.
"Master Hikaru… Please issue your next order..."
Hikaru reached out, clasped her trembling hands, and released his transformation technique.
"Saya, from now on—live for me."
The tension that had forced him to maintain the jutsu finally dissipated. He returned to his true form—more refined, his chakra radiating that same gentle warmth.
Saya looked up. His face was different, but that warmth was unmistakably him. The corner of her lips twitched upward.
"Okay, Master Hikaru. Saya will live for you now."
Hikaru rubbed her head again, eyes soft with affection.
"My name is not Renjiro."
"It's Uchiha Hikaru."
"And you are Uchiha Saya too—not Nameless."
Zebra and Zhili, now standing opposite them, eyed Hikaru warily. Their kaleidoscope eyes activated, full of hostility.
"Uchiha Hikaru? Never heard of you in the clan!"
Zebra's face twisted as he barked a command at the girl standing behind Hikaru.
"Saya, your mission is done. Return to the dungeon!"
"As a weapon of the Uchiha, you don't need a name!"
"Your life, your Sharingan—everything belongs to the clan!"
Saya flinched. Her body wanted to obey. She took a step instinctively—then stopped. Shaking, she looked up at Zebra.
"Master Zebra… this doesn't comply with the original order. I've received a new command. I can't follow yours anymore."
Her voice was faint but firm. It rang out clearly enough for Zebra and Zhili to hear.
Zhili looked at her with a complex expression—pity, perhaps even regret.
But Zebra only laughed coldly.
"Oh? So you do remember the old orders. Good."
"Then here's a new one—from both Zhili and me. Return to the dungeon immediately!"
"According to the clan's law, the minority obeys the majority. You haven't forgotten that, have you?"
Zebra's cold gaze bore into Saya's soul. Scenes from the past—chains, experiments, pain—flashed in her mind. Her hands trembled.
Was there really no way out...?
Would she have to go back to that bleak cell, starved, frozen, forgotten?
...Was there no other choice?
Saya's shoulders dropped. Her steps were heavy. Her voice broke as she whispered,
"Nameless… obeys…"
"Wait."
Hikaru's voice cut through like a blade.
"Saya, tell me the entire original order."
He didn't believe the rules were just what Zebra said. This was the Uchiha—there had to be more.
Saya froze. Then she recited:
"When orders conflict, the one with the higher Sharingan rank or greater strength takes priority."
Hikaru smirked. "As I thought... that sounds more like the Uchiha."
Suddenly, his chakra flared—icy and overwhelming. It enveloped him and Saya both. His Mangekyō flared with brilliant azure, and his Sword technique awakened behind his gaze like a burning star.
"Zebra. Zhili."
"Do either of you truly believe your Sharingan surpasses mine?"
"Do you really think you two can stand against me?"
In that moment, to Saya, Hikaru wasn't just light—he was the sun, radiant and untouchable. Even though his chakra was freezing cold, it was the first time she had felt truly warm in years. (。•́‿•̀。)
"To me… Master Hikaru's chakra and pupil strength..."
"Are greater than both Zebra and Zhili combined."
"Master Hikaru... I will live for you."
Hikaru gently took Saya's hand and turned to leave.
"Saya belongs to me now."
"Any objections?"
Zhili lowered his gaze, emotions unreadable. A flicker of joy... and deep fear for the future of the clan.
Zebra's fists clenched tight. His Sharingan glinted with murderous light.
"Uchiha Hikaru, huh? I don't know where you crawled out from…"
"But by doing this... you're making enemies of the entire Uchiha clan!"
"Have you thought this through?!"
"Hand over the girl. Surrender your azure Mangekyō."
"Otherwise... don't blame us for what happens next."
